Chapter 15
"Has anyone ever told you that you eat like a man?" Travis asked.
I was in the process in taking a large bite out of my burger, but I stopped just to give Travis a glare.
I rolled my eyes, before taking an obnoxiously large bite on purpose.
"Shut up." I muffled with a mouthful of juicy beef in my mouth.
Travis chuckled amusedly, before shoving a few of his own fries in his mouth.
We managed to get out of the woods, after an hour of trying to find a way out.
I almost wanted to punch Travis once he told me that he knew how to get out, except the fact that he didn't tell me, because he found it amusing that I was getting frustrated being lost.
"But you weight like a feather." he muttered, as he picked up my free hand.
I swear, I thought he was going to hold my hand.
But, at the last minute, Travis slid his fingers away from mine, holding my wrist.
I couldn't help but feel the slightest bit disappointed that he didn't want to hold my hand.
He wrapped his entire hand around it, before shaking it in my face.
"See?" he proved to me. "You have little scrawny chicken arms."
I gasped, as I turned to him, shooting him a murderous glare.
"I swear, Travis Kapone, you will be the death of me." I spat.
Travis smirked, throwing his head back in laughter.
Once he calmed down, he stared me in the eyes with a crooked grin.
"You're cute." he suddenly said, making me choke on my fries.
I coughed, as Travis stared at me with his eyebrows raised.
I grabbed my soda, taking a long gulp, before staring back up at Travis with wide eyes.
"Did you just call me cute?" I asked with disbelief.
Travis frowned, before nodding slowly. "Yeah, you're cute, Riley."
I blinked, as my cheeks turned bright red.
I dropped my head low, as I stared at my half eaten burger.
What was Travis doing to me?
This hammering feeling inside my chest, it wasn't normal, was it?
"Ew." I suddenly said, making Travis stare at me with surprised eyes. "Cute is for like, wide eyed bambi girls."
Travis stared at me with disbelief, before he let out a snort of laughter.
"You know, most girls would talk cute as a compliment."
Rolling my eyes, I played with my chewed straw that was in my soda.
"Well, I guess I'll take it as a compliment." I reconsidered it, giving him a smirk. "I mean, after all, when do you ever hear Travis Kapone giving someone a compliment?"
Travis rolled his eyes. "Funny, Riley." he said sarcastically. "Really funny."
I laughed, much to his dismay. "Yay!" I cheered obnoxiously. "I'm funny now, too?"
Travis gave me a glare, before sighing.
"Just eat your burger, Riley."
