Chapter 12
(Niall's POV)
I called Skarlet when I woke up wanting to ask if she wanted to hang out, but she didn't answer. I tried a few more times, sent her a few texts, but nothing happened. I was kind of getting worried. Maybe something happened. So I decided to visit her house.
I knocked on her door but it was already open. I walked in looking around. No one was downstairs, so I checked her room. I knocked on her door. "Wh-who is it?" a shaky voice asked. It sounded full of tears.
"Skarlet? Are you ok?" I asked
"I'm f-fine." she sobbed.
"It certainly doesnt sound like it." I said. "Come on open up."
Slowly she opened the door. Her face was wet with tears. Her hazel eyes looked at mine. They were red from the crying. "Skarlet what happened?" I asked pulling her in for a hug. "Gram...she-she died last night." she sobbed into my chest.
"Oh Skarlet, it's ok." I squeezed her tighter. "She just left with no warning. I loved her so much. I can't believe she's gone." she cried.
Rose has been Skar's guardian since she was 7 and her parents died. Now she's gone. I feel terrible for her. She has no more family.
"Now I'm all alone. No one to be with." she said. "Hey," I said releasing her and looking her in the eyes.
"You have me."

Chapter 11
(Niall's POV)
I knocked on Skarlet's door the next morning.
Her grandma opened the door with the smile she always had.
"Hello Niall!Come in love" she said
"Morning Rose" I said.
"Skarlet is still sleeping but you can take a seat until she wakes up" she said
(Skarlet's POV)
When I came down I saw gram and Niall downstairs chatting.
"Morning Skarlet." gram said
"Morning gram," I said
"Hi Niall, whats up?" i asked him.
"Oh i was just wondering if you'd like to meet the lads. They're coming over today."
he told me.
"Sure! That'll be fun, let me just get dressed."
I went upstairs to change. When I finished I came downstairs.
"Bye grandma! See in a few hours." i gave her a kiss on the cheek.
Me and Niall walked to his house. It's not to far away. We live on the same block.
Niall opened the door and we walked in.
"Come on, lets go to the living room and wait for them to come." Niall told me and we walked to his living room.
After about 15 minutes or so there's a ring on his doorbell.
"That must be them! I'll go get the door." he said.
Niall came back with the guys and he introduced them to me.
"We finally meet the Famous Skarlet!" Louis said
"Niall talks about you all the time! We finally get to meet you." Liam told me.
I looked at Niall,"You talk about me?"
"Ahaa yeah." Niall laughed awkwardly and blushed.
"Nialls got a crush on Skaarrrleett!" Harry joked.
Niall punched Harry.
"Ouuchh. Im just saying the truth!" Harry laughed.
I giggled and looked at the tomato red Niall.
"Niall your completley red!" Zayn told him.
"Maybe bringing you guys here wasnt such a good idea!" Niall teased.
"You know you love us Niall. How could you kick us out?" Louis said.
"Aha I like them Niall."

(Niall's POV)
Skarlet light touched the carving of our initials with her fingertips and smiled at me.
I smiled back. "Come on Skarlet lets go now."
"Ok where are we going?" Skarlet asked.
"To eat of course! I know this new place that we should go to for dinner!"
"Of course! Food is your true love isnt it?" She laughed.
"It certainly is Skarlet." I laughed along with her.
(Skarlets POV)
We went to this really fancy place for dinner. Like super fancy. The food was so good. I lightly giggled at Niall stuffing his face like there was no tomorrow.
"Slow down Horan!" I said.
"No way! This food is just amazing." he wiped his mouth.
"Here's your cheque ms." a waiter handed it to me.
"Oh my god Niall. You didnt say its this much!"
I reached for my purse. Niall grabbed my hand.
"No Skar let me pay. I am super rich arent i?"
"Niall I ate too. Let me pay for my food." I said
"Not today! Today I pay." He said.
"Nia-" he cut me off
"I insist Skarlet." he said.
"Seriously, Niall"
"Too bad i already payed." He said laughing as he took his card out of the machine.
"Your so stubborn Horan." i said.
"I know!" he smiled.

(Niall's POV)
"Me too Skarlet." I said releasing her.
She wiped her face of a tear.
"Forget about the tour love! Let's just have fun while I'm still here! Come on let's go play on the playground!" I said excitedly.
"Niall aren't we too old for that?" she asked me.
"Of course not! Your never too old to have fun!" I answered.
I took her hand and led her to the swings. We sat down and swinged for a while. Than the fun started! I started chasing her around the park trying to catch her.
"YOU'LL NEVER GET ME HORAN!" she yelled
"OH YES I WILL!!" I yelled back.
Finally I caught her and we were both out of breath.
(Skarlet's POV)
This was the most fun I had in years! It was incredible! I love that silly leprechaun.
"Skarlet come here!" he said
"Yeah Niall?" I said as I walked over to him. He pointed to this tree.
There in the bark N+S=BFF
"Aw I remember this." I said smiling at the memory. He was 6 and I was 5. It was our 1 year anniversary of meeting each other and becoming each others best friends. We told each other that we would never stop being friends no matter what happens.

As soon as I got up I picked up Skarlet from her house. We're going to the park just to walk around. I really want to spend a lot of time with her before I leave for my next world tour. I hate leave her again.
"Hey Niall!" Skarlet said
"Hi Skarlet! Come let's go." I took her hand and led her out the door.
(Skarlet's POV)
"So what's been happening in mullingar while I was away?" he asked me.
"Nothing much really. Life's been pretty dull without you lighting up the entire city!" I replied.

"I really missed you. I hate to leave you again." he said looking really sad
I gave him a big hug. " it's ok Niall. We can still video chat, text, email and all kinds of stuff like that"

(Skarlet's POV)
The entire time I was going home I was thinking about what Niall told me
in his bedroom. Was he lying? He seemed pretty nervous when he told that to me.
But how could my best friend lie to me? I dont think he would...
I hope he isnt. I've been in love with him since i was 4.
My heart would be shattered. Does he like me?
I hope he does. But im sure the chances are low.
I walked into my room, sat down and took out my phone.
(Niall's POV)
"Hey Niall" i read the text Skarlet sent me.
"Hey skar" i replied
"What was all that crazy stuff you were talking about earlier?" she texted me
"Its nothing. Look i have to go. Lets hang out tomorrow. Bye"
i replied and threw my phone across the bed. Does she know? What if she
doesnt like me and is all freaked about this?? What if this ends our friendship?

"So hows being famous like?" i asked after i finished eating my nandos.
"Its really fun actually. I met the four best lads in the world. I got to meet a lot of stars along the way."
he replied.

After the longest time im finally coming home. I cant wait to see Skarlet.
I though as i boarded the plane.
The entire trip i was thinking about her. I wonder if she's changed.
I wonder if shes forgot about me.
I wonder if she'll still be my best friend.
Finally i came off the plane and there mom, greg, and...skarlet were waiting.
I ran over to give them the biggest hugs.
"I missed you so much dear!" mom said
I gave Greg a hug then went to Skarlet.
I almost forgot how beautiful shes is.
Her long wavy dark hair.
Her beautiful hazel eyes.
"I missed you so much" i said while hugging her tightly

"Hi!" a boy said. "My name is Niall im 5 years old!"
"Hi Niall my name is Skarlet! im 4." i replied.

All i can do is think about him... i havent seen him in 2 years.
