Can't Stop Loving You
-Sequel to Falling For You-
Chapter 1
The bell rang and I slid my books into my backpack. I walked out of the school doors and took in all of the fresh air. Today was the last day of school. This year had gone by slowly and I’ve had so much work.
“Madison! I need to go to the mall to get some new clothes for summer. Wanna come? Molly asked as she ran up to me. Molly was my closest friend and I had known here since 3rd grade.
“Sure. Pick me up at 4:00?” I asked.
Molly nodded and got into her new BMW. She had just gotten her license, so she was driving everywhere. I live close to school, so I walked home.
“Madison! Wait up!” Kylie shouted from a few feet away.
Once I walked in the door, I threw my backpack on the floor. I walked up to my room and started to pack for Florida. We were leaving in 2 days. This will be the first time that I will get to see Dylan in almost a year. I hope he hadn’t forgotten about me. I thought. We hadn’t talked much over the year, which worried me.
When I got home from shopping with Molly, I went up to my room and sat down on my bed. I decided to text Dylan.
‘Hey, can’t wait to see you!’ I said.
I didn’t get a response, but maybe he was with his friends.
I had talked with Ariana and Hailey, but they said that they hadn’t seen Dylan around that much. I decided to act calm and tell myself that everything was ok. I finished packing and I went downstairs for dinner.
It was 11:00, so I decided to go to bed. I got underneath my blankets and thought about last summer. It was the best summer I’ve had. I had met Dylan, and I had made some new friends. I hope Dylan didn’t forget about me, because I haven’t stopped loving him.

Falling For You
Chapter 20
Madison's P.O.V
The past 4 days went by very quickly. Today was the day that Dylan was leaving. I got out of bed and put on a pair of denim shorts and a tank top over my bathing suit. I braided my hair and went downstairs for breakfast. I got a text message from Dylan saying ‘I’m leaving at 12. Meet me on the beach in 15 minutes?’
‘Yes! See you soon :)’ I replied. I finished my breakfast and started walking over to the beach.
“I’m going to the beach, mom.” I shouted as I walked out the door. I can’t believe that this may be the last time I will get to see Dylan for a year. I thought. Once I got to the beach, I saw Dylan. He saw me too, and I started running towards him. I leaped into his arms and gave him a big hug. Tears started running down my face and I managed to choke out, “Please don’t go.” Dylan rubbed my back and put me down. I could tell he had tears in his eyes, too. I wiped away the tears and we walked along the ocean. We walked in silence for a few minutes, but then Dylan whispered, “Promise you won’t forget me.”
“I’ll never stop thinking about you.” I whispered back.
Dylan turned around and took my hand.
“Madison, I love you.” Dylan said, looking into my eyes.
All of a sudden my heart skipped a beat.
“I love you, too” I said as I gave him a kiss. He put his hands on my waist and I put my arms around his neck. It was a long, soft kiss. I pulled away and rested my head on his shoulder.
“We’ll try a long distance relationship, right?” I asked.
“I’ll do anything, just to talk to you. Are you coming back next summer?” Dylan asked.
“Yeah…I hope the school year will go by quickly.” I said.
“Me too.” Dylan said.
We walked up to the ice cream store on the boardwalk. I got cake batter and Dylan got rocky road. We sat down at a table and talked. We laughed so much that my insides started to hurt. Dylan always made me laugh. No matter what the situation was, he would always put a smile on my face.
“I should probably start going home soon.” Dylan said with a sad look on his face.
We got up and I went back to Dylan’s house with him. I called Ariana, Hailey, and Liam to tell them to come see Dylan. 5 minutes later they all arrived. They all ran and gave Dylan a big hug. Ariana and Hailey started tearing up and came over to here I was. Dylan’s dad started putting their suitcases in the trunk. Dylan came over to us to give us one last hug. First he gave Ariana and Hailey a hug, then Liam, and then he came over to me.
Dylan’s P.O.V
I couldn’t believe it was time to say goodbye to Madison. I stepped over to her and pulled her close to me. I gave her a hug, and then a long, passionate kiss.
“I love you.” I whispered in her ear.
“I-I love you too.” Madison said, holding back tears.
Tears were forming in my eyes, and a single tear rolled down my cheek. I let go of her hand and said, “Promise we won’t stop talking?”
She nodded and I kissed the top of her head. I walked over to the car and looked back. Madison was crying and Ariana was hugging her.
As soon as my dad started to drive away, I looked back and Madison shouted, “I love you Dylan!”
“I love you too, Madison.” I responded. Tears started rolling down my cheeks. I wiped them away.
Only a year, and then we will be together. Soon enough I will have you back in my arms. I love you, Madison. Don’t forget about me, because I will never forget about you.

Falling For You
Chapter 19
Madison's P.O.V
Dylan pulled me close and kissed me. Whenever we kissed, it was like we were the only two people in the world. It was only us in that moment. I wish I was able to re-live that moment over and over again. I pulled away and smiled. He kissed the top of my head and we walked, hand in hand, over to where our stuff was. We grabbed our stuff and walked up the boardwalk. My feet burned from the temperature of the ground, so I started running with Dylan following behind me.
Once we got off the boardwalk, we went to my house.
“Ooh Madison and her boyfriend are home!” Kylie said mockingly while laughing.
“Shutup.” I said.
We went up to my bedroom and sat on my bed.
“I should probably get going in a little while, I haven’t packed a thing.” Dylan said.
“I’m going to miss you so much…” I said.
“I know…I’ll miss you too.” Dylan said.
“I want to have the best 4 days with you.” I said, trying to hold back tears.
“I wish those four days would last forever.” Dylan said.
After Dylan left, I put on a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt. I threw my hair into a messy bun and walked downstairs. I was about to turn on the TV when I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door and saw Liam standing there on a pair of crutches.
“Liam! What are you doing here?!” I said in shock.
“They let me out early! All I have to do is be on crutches for 2 weeks.” Liam said smiling.
“That’s great!!” I said as I gave him a big hug, avoiding his crutches.
I invited him inside and we sat down on the couch.
“So, you’ll be able to see Dylan when he leaves.” I stated.
“Yeah I will.” He said.
We talked for a while and then Liam left. I ate dinner and then got into bed.
I got a text from Dylan saying ‘Goodnight babe.’ I couldn’t help but smile when he sent me this.
I’ve fallen for him. His eyes, his smile, his laugh. I never thought this summer would turn out the way it did.
Sorry it’s a short chapter! I’ve been super busy so I haven’t had time to write a new chapter. I hope you guys like it!

Chapter 18
Dylan’s P.O.V
“Oh hey Madison. I didn’t expect you to be here this early.” I said. Madison gave me a smile.
“Hey man.” Liam said.
“How’s you’re leg?” I asked, hoping he would be out of the hospital soon.
“It still hurts, but the doctor says I’ll be able to walk in about 4 days!” Liam said with a smile spreading across his face.
“That’s great! Well I have to go meet up with Hailey. See you guys later!” Madison said.
“See you later babe.” I said as I gave her a peck on her cheek.
As soon as she left the room Liam said, “So, have you told her yet? About you going away in a few days?”
“Yeah…she was really upset. But we’re just going to try to spend as much time with each other as we can.” I said looking out the window.
“Yeah…you seem like you really like her. Are you going to try to have a ‘long distance’ kind of relationship?” Liam asked.
“I’ve only known her for about a month, but I feel like I’ve known her forever. I really like her…I don’t know how I’m going to leave her. I hope we will have a long distance relationship, but I don’t know what she wants to do. I’m sure there will be plenty of guys waiting for a chance to be with her.” I said, staring into space.
“I think she really likes you two.” Liam said while fiddling with his pillow.
“Yeah…well I should probably go.” I said, getting up from my chair.
“Ok, see you soon.” Liam said as I was walking out of the door.
“Feel better!” I shouted back.
I walked home and went into my room. I thought about Madison and how I only had 5 days left to see her. Later on, I went to the nearby pizza place to get some lunch. I saw Madison down at the beach, but I didn’t go down to see her because she was with her friends.
“Dylan! Hey!” Madison screamed from the other side of the beach.
“Hi!” I shouted back. She ran up to be and asked if I wanted to join them. I decided to go with Madison and she took my hand. We walked down to the water, where chairs had already been set up. They made a fire and we all sat around talking as a group.
“Let’s go in the water, it’s really hot out.” Ariana said.
We all ran into the water and I took Madison’s hand. We dove in and came up to the surface. It was so refreshing. I held onto Madison’s waist and we jumped into the waves. We started laughing and Madison gave me a kiss. Her lips we soft and tasted like the salt water. She gave me a smile and we swam over to the others. They were swimming far out, but I could tell Madison wasn’t comfortable with that. I took her hand and we swam closer to shore.
“I don’t really want to swim out that far.” Madison whispered.
“I’ll stay here with you, don’t worry.” I said looking into her eyes.
She gave me a smile and then splashed me. Madison started laughing and started to run towards the shore. I chased her and finally caught her. She was a fast runner.
“Gotcha.” I said as I pulled her close to me and kissed her.
Sorry I haven’t written a chapter in a while! I’ve been really busy with school lately. I hope you guys like it!

Falling For You
Chapter 17
Madison's P.O.V.
We walked over to the bonfire and sat down.
“Hey, wanna play would you rather?” Hailey suggested.
“Ok.” We all said.
“I’ll go first. Dylan, would you rather…eat a bottle of ketchup or get locked in a small closet for 1 day?” Hailey said.
“Um, eat a bottle of ketchup.”
We played this for about a half an hour, and then Ariana and Hailey had to go home. Dylan and I sat by the fire.
“Promise you won’t forget me when you go to Colorado?” I whispered.
“I won’t ever forget you, Madison.” Dylan said looking into my eyes. He gave me a soft kiss and put his arm around me.
He walked me home and kissed me goodnight. I walked in the door and my mom said, “Madison! Where were you all day?” I could tell she was mad by the tone of her voice.
“I was at the hospital with Liam and then I was with my friends.” I said, stepping back.
“I was worried sick about you!” My mom said.
“I’m sorry.” I muttered.
I slipped by my mom and went up to my room. I laid down on my bed and thought about everything that’s happened this past week. First Liam cut his leg, and then Dylan tells me that he’s moving.
Can’t I just have a stress free summer?
I fell asleep, thinking about what the rest of the summer will be like without Dylan.
I woke up to the sound of my phone vibrating.
‘Come to the hospital today if you can.’ Is what the message from Liam said.
‘Ok, I’ll come after breakfast.’ I wrote, still half asleep.
I trudged out of bed and put on a pair of shorts and a shirt. I brushed my teeth and went downstairs for breakfast. Eggs and bacon. Yum.
My mom drove me over to the hospital, since it was too far away to walk. And I had not gotten my drivers license yet.
“Hey Liam.” I said.
“Madison! The doctor said that by next week I’ll be able to walk! And I’ll be able to go home.” Liam said with a smile spread across his face.
“That’s great!” I said as I gave him a hug.
“I know!” Liam said. We both laughed.
Dylan walked in, surprised to see me.

Falling For You
Chapter 16
Madison's P.O.V.
I started running home, while wiping the tears off my face. I couldn’t believe what Dylan had just told me. He was leaving in one week to go to Colorado. Why did he have to go so soon?
I ran upstairs and jumped onto my bed. I buried myself underneath the blankets and cried. I thought about all of the good times that we’ve spent together, and how he never failed to make me smile. I had fallen for him and now I won’t be able to see him anymore. I got a text from Dylan saying ‘My dad only got the job for 3 months.’
I replied saying ‘Will I get to see you next summer?’
‘Yes.’ He answered. I felt a little but better, but I still wont get to see him for a year.
‘I still don’t want you to leave. I’ll miss you too much.’ I said.
‘I know, I’ll miss you too. Want to meet me by the village?’
‘Sure. See you in a few minutes.’
I put on a sundress and sandals, and then braided my hair. I walked down to the village and saw Dylan sitting on a black bench.
“Hey.” I said.
“Hey.” Dylan replied.
“I’ll be able to see you next summer, Madison. I won’t be able to see you the rest of this summer, though.”
“I just don’t want to see you go.” I whispered.
“I know.” Dylan said as he kissed my head.
We walked hand in hand through the little village. We saw Hailey and Ariana in a little boutique and decided to say hi.
“Hey guys!” Hailey said, with a big smile on her face.
Ariana pulled me aside and said, “I guess you’re not mad at Dylan anymore? What was he not telling you?”
I took a big breath and said, “H-He’s moving to Colorado for 3 months.”
Ariana’s face went blank.
“What?!” Ariana shouted.
“Shh!” I said because people started looking at us.
“He’s moving?! Aw Madison I’m so sorry.” Ariana whispered.
“Yeah…” I said.
We went back over to where Hailey and Dylan were talking.
We had dinner at a pizza place and then went to the bonfire on the beach.

Chapter 15
Dylan's P.O.V.
I saw Madison walking over here. She looked so beautiful, even though I could tell she was upset.
How am I going to tell her that I’m moving away for three months? How is she going to understand that?
“Dylan! We need to talk.” She said as she walked over here. I didn’t know what to say, so I just said, “Hi, Madison.”
I’m so stupid. Why can’t I just say it?
“Dylan, are you keeping something from me? You were acting strange yesterday and today.” Madison said. I could see pain in her eyes. I didn’t want to hurt her. Especially because she’s leaving in 4 weeks. I took her hand and started walking over to the garden we talked in when I told her my mom had cancer.
“Where are you taking me? Dylan!” Madison screeched, but I didn’t say anything. We sat down on the bench and I took her hands in mine. I looked into her chocolate brown eyes and said, “Madison, I’m sorry I haven’t been with you a lot the past few days. Its just that…my dad got a new job, in Colorado. I’m so sorry.”
She didn’t say anything.
“Oh my God…you’re moving to Colorado?! Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” Madison said as she stood up.
“Madison I’m so, so sorry. I begged my parents not to go, but they said they weren’t going to change their minds. I don’t want to leave you.” There was pain in her eyes. I couldn’t stand to see her as upset as she was. A tear rolled down her cheek, followed by many more.
“Dylan…when are you leaving?” Madison asked in between sobs.
“In a week.” I said.
“A week?! And you’ve kept this from me?” Madison cried.
“I’m so sorry. I didn't want to hurt you. I lo-” I started to say, but then she cut me off.
“I can’t believe this is happening.” Madison said as she started wiping away her tears.
“Dylan…don’t go…please.” Madison whispered.
“I’m so sorry.” I said with tears in my eyes. Madison got up and started to walk away.
I put my head in my hands.
I can’t believe I did that. She was so upset. Now she hates me. But I love her.

Falling For You
Chapter 14
I blushed when Liam said that about me.
“Thanks.” I said, looking down at my lap. His bright green eyes were looking into mine.
“Has Dylan been acting weird around you lately?” I asked.
“No, not really. Why?”
“Oh. He came over last night and was acting kind of odd. And then he told Ariana that he needed to tell me something.” I said. Liam looked confused.
“That’s strange. If he comes to see me I’ll ask him.” Liam said.
“Thanks. Well I better get going soon. I hope you feel better, Liam!” I said. He gave me a hug and I started walking out of the hospital. I saw a tall, brown haired guy at the end of the hallway and said, “Dylan?” The guy looked around to see who said his name, but didn’t see me. I walked up to him and tapped his shoulder.
“Hi Madison. What are you doing here?” Dylan said.
“I was visiting Liam…weren’t we supposed to go together?” I asked, kind of loosing my temper.
“Sorry, I-I just got sidetracked by other things.” Dylan stuttered.
“I know you have a lot to worry about because of your mom, but is that why you didn’t call me this morning?” I asked in an annoyed voice. Dylan looked into my brown eyes, but didn’t say a word. I walked away slowly. I looked back at Dylan and he had his head in his hands.
Why couldn’t he just tell me what was going on?
I decided to go home and put on a bathing suit. I walked down the boardwalk and laid my towel out on the sand so I could tan. I heard footsteps and took of my sunglasses. Ariana was standing over me.
“Madi, why didn’t you tell me you were going to tan!” Ariana said, with a smile.
“I just came down to think about some things.” I muttered.
“Is it Dylan? Is he still not telling you what’s going on?” Ariana asked. I nodded. She gave me a hug and laid her floral towel down next to my light blue towel.
“Boys are so confusing.” I said.
“I know…” Ariana said.
Ariana helped me realize that I need to ask him what was going on right away.
Later that night, I saw Dylan at the juice bar.
“Dylan! We need to talk.” I said as walked over to him.

Falling For You
Chapter 13
“Hey what are you doing here?” I asked.
“I, uh, I just wanted to make sure you got home ok because I didn’t want anything to happen to you…but I guess you're ok.” Dylan said laughing.
We went up to my room and sat down on the floor.
We didn’t say anything for a while, but then I said, “I wish I could stay here with you. I don’t know how I’m going to leave you.”
“I know. I don’t even want to think about it now. Right now, I just want to think about you and me.” Dylan said as he gave me a kiss.
I blushed and put my head on his shoulder.
“I’ve only known you for a month, and I feel like I’ve known you my whole life.” Dylan said.
“Me too.” I said.
“I should go soon before my dad starts to wonder where I am. We should go see Liam tomorrow morning before lunch.” Dylan said.
“Ok, and yeah we should. I wish this didn’t happen.” I said looking into Dylan’s eyes.
“Yeah…but everything happens for a reason. I wish I knew the reason though…I have to go, sorry Madison.” Dylan said as he gave me a quick kiss.
“Hi!” I said as got in the passenger seat of Ariana’s car.
“Hi, did Dylan come over last night?” Ariana asked.
“Yeah, why?” I said.
“He said he needed to tell you something…what did he say?” Ariana said.
“What do you mean? He just came over to make sure I got home ok. He was acting kind of weird though. And we were supposed to see Liam today, but he never texted me.” I said.
“Oh…that’s odd.” Ariana said in a confused tone.
What did he need to tell me? Was something wrong?
We arrived at the hospital and parked the car. We wanted to see Liam after his surgery. Ariana and I walked into the room that he was in and sat down in a chair.
“How are you feeling?” I asked.
“My leg still hurts a lot…thanks for coming though. It’s so boring in here by myself.” Liam said in pain.
“You’re our friend and we want you to be ok.” Ariana said.
“Thanks guys.” Liam said, looking at us.
We talked for a while and then Ariana left. I talked to Liam for a while and then he said, “Madison, you’re a really great person. You helped me when I fell and you were here all day yesterday. Dylan’s lucky to have you.”

Falling For You
Chapter 12
Please let Liam be ok, please I thought to myself. I called Dylan and told him to come quickly, and all of a sudden he burst through the door.
“What happened?!” Dylan asked.
“Liam has a huge gash in his leg.” I said in a panicked voice.
“Oh my god.” Dylan said.
“Where were you yesterday?” I asked.
“I-I was with my mom…she’s not doing well.” Dylan said with tears welling up in his eyes.
“Dylan, I’m so sorry.” I said as I gave him a hug.
We walked over to where Ariana, Hailey, and Liam’s parents were sitting and sat next to them.
The doctor came out and said, “We’re going to do a surgery now to close up Liam’s leg. He should be back on his feet within 2 to 3 weeks.”
I was so relieved. I thought he was going to be seriously hurt.
We stayed for another half hour and then went to get dinner.
Hailey took me home that night.
“Thanks Hailey see you tomorrow.” I shouted to her as I started walking up to my front door.
“No problem.” She shouted back.
I walked into our little beach house and threw my bag on the couch.
“I’m home mom!” I shouted.
“Hi honey!” my mom said from the kitchen.
I ran upstairs and put on a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt. I was watching TV until I heard a knock at the door.
“I’ll get it.” Kylie said.
I heard her open the door and then say, “Madison someone is here for you.”
I walked down the stairs and saw Dylan at the door.

Falling For You
Chapter 11
I woke up to Kylie throwing pillows at me from across the room.
“What was that for?” I said.
“It’s 11:00. Mom told me to come wake you up. Get out of bed!” Kylie said, laughing.
“Ugh, fine. Wait! Liam’s coming to pick me up in 45 minutes!” I shouted, running down the hall. I put on my floral bikini underneath a pair of denim shorts and a crop top. I brushed my teeth and then ran down to have breakfast.
“Mom, Liam’s picking me up in a few minutes and we’re all going to go to a beach.” I said to my mom, so she knew where I was going.
“Ok, have fun. And be careful honey! Love you!” My mom said.
“Bye mom! Love you too.” I shouted as I was walking out of the door.
I got in the car and sat next to Hailey.
“Hey!” I said, happily.
“Hey, Madison.” Liam said.
“Is Dylan coming?” I asked.
“No, he said he had to go somewhere. He sounded upset.” Liam said while keeping his eyes on the road.
I wonder what he had to do? I thought.
Once we got to Eastrock, we all hopped out of the car and brought all of our stuff down to the sand. I took off my shirt and shorts that were over my bikini and jogged down to the water with Ariana. We were the only ones there at the time and it was so relaxing.
“Liam! Come in the water!” Ariana shouted.
“I’m coming, I’m coming.” Liam said laughing.
All of a sudden, I hear someone yell and see Liam on the ground, bleeding.
“OH MY GOSH! LIAM WHAT HAPPENED?!” Hailey, Ariana, and I all scream in panic.
“Ah- I tripped and fell over a rock.” Liam said in pain.
(Eastrock gets its name because it has very big rocks near the water.)
“Liam! You’re leg has a huge gash in the side!” I said, screaming.
“I’m calling for help. We need to get him to a hospital.” Ariana said.
We wrapped is leg in bandages that we found in his car and brought him to the nearest hospital.
2 hours later, a doctor came out and said, “Liam has a serious gash in his leg, but I’m sure he will be fine.”
I’m sure? Shouldn’t he be telling us that Liam is going to be ok?

Chapter 10
We ran down to the ocean, hand in hand. We dove into the crashing waves, and Dylan put his arms around my waist. I felt so safe whenever I was with him. I didn’t want him to let go of me.
“I’m not going to let anything happen to you, Madison.” Dylan said.
We laughed and splashed each other with the cold water. We came out of the ocean and sat on the sand. I put my head on his shoulder as he pulled me closer to him.
“Madison, I don’t want you to go…I want you to stay here, with me.” Dylan said, with sadness in his voice.
“I don’t want to go either…I love it here and I love spending time with you.”
“I wish you could move here.” Dylan said looking out into the ocean.
“I know me too…Vermont is so boring.”
“Yeah. I don’t want this summer to end. I don’t want to see you go so soon.”
“I want this summer to last foreve-” I started to say, but then I felt a tap on my shoulder.
“Hey!” Hailey said, with Ariana and Liam behind her.
“Oh hey guys.” Dylan and I said simultaneously.
They all sat down next to me and began to start a conversation.
“So, what were you guys talking about? We didn’t mean to interrupt anything.” Liam said with a smile on his face.
“We were just talking about how Madison is only going to be here for 4 more weeks.” Dylan said.
“WHAT? Four weeks?! No!” Ariana and Hailey screeched.
“I just got to know you…we need to hang out more before August!” Liam said.
“Yeah we should.” I replied.
“Do you guys want to go down to Eastrock tomorrow?” Liam asked.
“What’s that?” I said.
“It’s a beach about an hour away from here.”
“Cool! Sure, sounds fun!”
“Great. I’ll pick you guys up at 11:45. I have to go, sorry. See you tomorrow.” Liam said.
“Ok. Bye!” We all shouted.
Later that night, Dylan drove me home.
“Madison, I’ve fallen for you. You’re everything I have ever wanted in a girl.” Dylan said, looking into my eyes.
“I’ve fallen for you too, Dylan. I’ve never met anyone that makes me as happy as you do.” I whispered.

Chapter 9
The next morning I woke up to the smell of pancakes and bacon. I ran downstairs in my pajamas and saw a big plate of pancakes, bacon, and eggs. Yum.
After breakfast I got a text from Dylan saying ‘Want to meet for lunch?’
‘Yeah!’
‘Great. Meet me by the seafood place down the block in two hours.’
‘Ok see you then.’
Kylie and I walked down to the supermarket to get some things for dinner that night.
“I wish we lived here…” said Kylie.
“I know, me too. It’s so relaxing here.” I said looking down at the ocean.
Everywhere you looked, you had an ocean view. It’s amazing.
When we got back, I put on a pair of shorts and a nice shirt. I walked down to the seafood place and saw Dylan standing outside.
“Hey!” Dylan said.
“Hey! I’ve never been here before. Is it good?”
“Yeah they have the best seafood.” Dylan said.
We walked inside and got a table for two. We ordered a lobster to share. It was delicious.
“So, Madison. We’ve known each other for about 3 weeks and I’ve never had the chance to ask where you live.” Dylan said, looking at me with his ocean blue eyes.
“Well, I wish I lived here. But I live in Vermont. It’s so warm here, and so cold up there.” I said.
“My uncle owns a house in Vermont. We used to go up there all the time.” Dylan said, smiling.
“I’m only going to be down here for another month. I have to back to school in August.” I said with sadness in my voice.
“One more month? I only get to see you for 4 more weeks?” Dylan said with pain in his voice.
“I know, that’s why I want to spend as much time with you as I can. I won’t get to see you until my junior year in high school is over.” I said.
“We’ll have the best 4 weeks then. We’ll spend every minute we can together.” Dylan said taking my hand as we left the restaurant.

Falling For You
Chapter 8
Dylan and I walked over to the crowd of dancing teenagers. We started dancing, but then decided to go find Ariana and Hailey. We found them both talking to two really hot guys.
“I guess Ariana and Hailey are busy!” I said with a laugh.
“Yeah I guess so. Want to go down to the basement?” Dylan said.
“Sure! It’s probably less crowded down there.”
We walked down to the basement and there were only about 5 people down there. There was one couple kissing in the corner, and another couple playing ping-pong.
“What do you want to do?” I asked
“We could just hang out.” Dylan said.
“Ok.” I said as we sat down and started talking.
About an hour later, we went back upstairs.
“Dylan! Hey!” Liam shouted.
“Hey man.” Dylan said.
“Who’s this? I don’t think we’ve met before. I’m Liam.”
“This is Madison, my girlfriend.” Dylan shouted over all of the noise.
My girlfriend. I started to blush, but then tried to stay cool.
“Hi, Liam. Ariana and Hailey have told me a lot about you.” I said politely.
“Oh you’re friends with Ariana! We’re really close.” Liam said
“Yeah, she’s a really good friend.” I said.
“Yeah, well nice to meet you Madison. Maybe we can all hang out one day.” Liam said as he started walking over to the drink table.
“We should probably go, Dylan. It’s past midnight.” I said.
“Ok, I’ll go get my coat.” Dylan said.
“I’ll go tell Ariana and Hailey we’re leaving.” I said, trying to find my friends in a huge group of people.
When I found them, they said they were going to stay a little while longer. Dylan and I got in his car and started driving.
“So, did you have fun?” Dylan asked.
“I guess, yeah. Liam seems really nice.” I said.
We arrived at my house and Dyaln walked me to the door.
“Goodnight Madison.” Dylan said as he gave me a kiss.
“Goodnight.” I said, not wanting to pull away.

Chapter 6
“Hi Dylan, nice to meet you. I’m Mrs. Wilson.” My mom said
“Nice to meet you too, Mrs. Wilson.” Dylan replied.
Dylan and I went up to my room and sat down on the bed. We talked and laughed for a while. We started joking around, and I threw a pillow at him, laughing. He gave me a big smile, and then tackled me onto the floor. I looked up at him and saw him looking at me with sweet eyes. He leaned down and kissed me.
“Madison are you- oops! Sorry we didn’t mean to interrupt anything.” Ariana and Hailey said with a laugh.
“Oh hey guys.” I said as Dylan helped me up from the floor.
“We were just wondering if you wanted to come to a party tonight at Liam’s house, but it looks like you’re busy.” Ariana said, smiling.
“Who’s Liam?” I asked.
“He goes to school with us.” Hailey answered.
“Sure! Dylan do you want to come?”
“Yeah, sure! I have to go see my mom, I’ll see you guys later.” Dylan said as he walked out the door.
“We’re going to go home and get ready for the party. We’ll pick you up at 8:15.” Ariana said.
“Great! See you guys later.” I said.
Later that night, Ariana picked me up. Hailey was already in the car. When we got to Liam’s house, we parked the car.
“Wow.” I said in excitement.
“This place is huge!”
“Let’s go inside and look for Dylan and Liam.” I said.
We walked inside and there must have been 400 people inside. After an hour of looking for Dylan, I finally found him in a big group of guys.
“Hey! There you are, I’ve been looking for you.” I said.
“Where were you? I was looking for you for like 2 hours!” Dylan said, smiling.
“Want to go dance?” I said.
“Sure.” Dylan said.

Chapter 6
Without saying a word, I gave him a big hug.
“Oh my god, Dylan, I’m so sorry! I was so rude to you… I didn’t realize something like that could’ve happened.” I said apologetically.
Dylan looked at me with sad eyes, and then said, “No, I should’ve told you that my mom was getting sick. Thanks, though.”
We walked over to the juice bar, since I was no longer upset with him. We tried to talk about happy things, and each other. A big group of people started to walk over to where we were. Dylan recognized them, and told me it was other kids from his school.
“Dylan!” a bunch of guys shouted.
“Hey guys.”
“Woah, Dylan. Who’s the babe?”
“Her names, Madison. And she’s mine.” Dylan laughed.
I blushed when he said “she’s mine.”
“Ok, ok.” Dylan’s friend said, winking at me.
We hung out with them for the rest of the day. Some of them were really nice, but some of them were rude. Later that day, Dylan took me down to the boardwalk and we sat down on two blue beach chairs. He looked me in the eye and said, “Madison, I know we’ve only known each other for about a week, but I really like you. I’ve never met anyone as beautiful and as kind as you.”
I blushed and said, “I feel the exact same way about you.”
He leaned in towards me, and our lips met. His lips were soft, and I didn’t want to pull away.
“I love you.” Dylan whispered.
“I love you too, Dylan.” I said with a smile.
We walked hand in hand back to my house. When we walked in the door we saw Kylie and my mom watching T.V.
“Who’s this?” my mom asked.
“Mom, this is Dylan.” I replied.

Falling For You
Chapter 5
I ran up to my room and jumped on my bed. I buried myself underneath the blankets and cried. How could he have stood me up? Didn’t he care about me?
“I’m so sorry Dylan stood you up last night. He’s a jerk.” Hailey said.
“I-I didn’t even like him…” I whispered.
“You’re a horrible liar.” Hailey said, smiling.
I smiled, but all of a sudden my smile faded. Dylan. There he was coming towards the juice bar, where Hailey and I were.
“H-Hailey do you want to go down to the beach now.” I said, begging.
“Ok.” She answered in a confused voice.
As we started walking to the ocean, I looked back at Dylan. He was staring at me, with sadness in his eyes. I didn’t want to ignore him, but after what he did I was too upset to talk to him now.
Hailey and I saw Ariana tanning and told her to hang out with us. We all went in the ocean and dove under the crashing waves. As soon as we came out of the water, someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around and saw Dylan looking at me with his deep blue eyes.
“I need to talk to you. I’m so sorry about last-”
“I-I have to go…I’m sorry…” I said as I started walking away.
There was pain in his eyes. I didn’t want to hurt him. I was just too confused about last night.
After dinner, there was a knock at the door. No one else was home so I ran downstairs in my sweatpants and a t-shirt. I opened the door slowly, unsure of who was outside.
“Madison? Look we really need to talk I’m so sorry I didn’t show up last night.” Dylan said with sorrow in his voice.
“O-Oh its ok…” I choked out.
“No, it’s not. Can we go somewhere else to talk about this?” Dylan asked.
“I guess.” I muttered.
We started walking down to a small garden about 5 minutes away from my house. Until we got there, we walked in silence. We sat on a little white bench next to a pot of beautiful flowers.
“Madison, I really like you. You’re the first girl that I’ve met that is honest with me. Now I have to be honest with you. I’m so sorry my friends and I didn’t come last night. I-I had to spend the night in the hospital.” Dylan said.
“The hospital?! Are you ok?!” I said in a panicked voice.
“Yeah I’m fine. I was with my mom. She was just diagnosed with lung cancer.” He said with tears in his eyes.

Falling For You
Chapter 4
I woke up the next morning thinking about Dylan. I had only met him two days ago. Was I falling for him? I couldn’t be…maybe I was rushing things.
At 12:15 p.m. I got a text from Dylan saying ‘Meet me at The Beach House Restaurant at 7:00.’ I called Hailey and Ariana and told them that Dylan and his friends invited us to dinner tonight. They both agreed to go right away.
Kylie and I ate lunch and then took a walk along the beach.
“I miss dad… I wonder what he’s doing right now.” said Kylie.
“I do too. But after mom and dad got divorced, mom told us to never see or talk to him again.” I said.
“I know.” Kylie sighed.
Later that night, I put on a floral skirt with a solid tank top. I got in the car and went to pick up Hailey and Ariana.
“I hope Dylan’s friends are cute!” exclaimed Ariana. She was wearing a sundress with a pair of cute white sandals. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail with loose curls.
A few minutes later, we arrived at the restaurant. We sat down at a big table and waited for Dylan to arrive. About 10 minutes later, he still wasn’t here. I started to get worried, but then I just thought maybe he was running late. Or did he forget? Did he not like me anymore? There were so many things running through my mind.
“I’m sure they will be here soon… how about we wait for 10 more minutes.” Hailey said.
“Ok.” Ariana and I said in unison.
10 minutes later, Dylan still hadn’t arrived. We decided to leave the restaurant.
“We could still hang out, right?” Hailey asked.
“Um, I’m kind of tired. I think I’m just going to go home.”
“Ok.” Ariana and Hailey said, with sadness in their voices.
I dropped them both off at home. When I got home my mom said, “A tall boy came here looking for you, but I told him that you weren’t home. Do you know who that could’ve been?”
Dylan. “N-No. I have no idea.” I said, stuttering.

Falling For You
Chapter 3
The next morning I woke up and ran downstairs for breakfast. While I was eating, I got a text message from Dylan saying ‘Meet me by the ocean in 15 minutes.’ All of a sudden I got butterflies in my stomach. He wants to see me I thought to myself. I ran up the stairs to shower, and then put on my favorite shirt and a pair of denim shorts. I brushed my teeth and ran out of the house with my mom screaming after me, “Madison, where are you going?!”
“To the beach to meet a friend!” I shouted as I ran down to the beach, without looking back.
I spotted Dylan by the ocean sitting in a white beach chair. I started to walk, so I wouldn’t look like I was crazy.
“Hi Dylan.” I said
“Hey Madison!” he said, smiling.
“So what do you want to do?” I asked.
“I was hoping we could just sit here for a little while and talk.” Dylan said.
“Ok.” I said sitting down next to him. As I sat down, he put his arm around me and pulled me closer to him, as I blushed.
“Hey, do you want to go out to dinner tonight? I-I mean with my friends.” Dylan stuttered.
“Sure! Do you want me to bring my friends, also?” I asked.
“Uh, sure.” He said.
I looked up and he was staring at me with his deep ocean blue eyes. I was lost in his eyes. Dylan started to lean towards me. Was he going to kiss me? I thought to myself. He didn’t kiss me; he brushed a piece of hair away from my face. His hands were warm against my skin and I could see in his eyes, that he wanted me to say something. I didn’t know what to say. We sat there in silence for a few minutes before he took my hand and dragged me into the ocean. After a few minutes, we got knocked over by a huge wave, and he held onto me so I would be safe. I didn’t want Dylan to let go. I had never felt this way before. I think I was finally falling for him. But it had only been two days; why had this happened so fast?
