Faded Memories
...Flooding Back
Chapter 11
Justin's POV
I was sitting on my bed and LIly just called to let me know that I could come pick her up. I told her that I would be there in 10 minutes, but I still had to get ready. I walked in the bathroom to brush through my hair, which is the only downside to having lengthy hair for a guy. It just went below my ears, but it was a hassle to keep up. I walked into my room and put on some Hollister jeans and an AE tee. I put on my favorite sneakers and headed downstairs. Dad was still at work. I wrote him a quick note.
Dad,
Went out on a date. Be back later. Text me if you need me.
I grabbed my keys off the counter and walked outside. I checked my wallet to make sure I had some money, so I wouldn't be embarrassed. All good. I got in my truck and started driving. I followed the directions she texted to me after we got off the phone and slowly made my way there. I pulled into her driveway and parked in front of her house. Her parents were gone like she said. I was pretty glad, I didn't know why they didn't approve of me. They must know me, but I wasn't sure. Amnesia obviously isn't my friend. I walked up to her door and rang the doorbell.

Lily's POV
I heard Justin ring the doorbell and took my time down the stairs. I didn't want to seem desperate and eager, even though I really was. A few minutes later I opened the door. "Hey!" I said really excitedly. "Hey. Ready to go? By the way, you look amazing." "Yeah and thanks. Let me just grab my purse." I walked into the kitchen and grabbed my coach purse off the rack. I threw it on my shoulder and followed him out the door. He opened the door to his truck for me and I climbed in. He walked back to his side and jumped in and started the car. "So where are we going?" I asked. "I thought we could go to a diner downtown and then go see a movie of your choice." he said. That sounded fun. "Sure, sounds great. But I don't even know what's playing." I said laughing a little. He laughed too and that made me feel great. "I guess we'll see when we get there." he said and winked. He drove us downtown and helped me out of the truck. He was very gentleman like. We walked inside the diner and sat down. A waitress came and handed us some menus and we ordered. "I'm gonna have a cheeseburger and fries with a chocolate milkshake." I told her. Maybe he wouldn't think I was too fat. He laughed a bit and said, "Ditto." The waitress walked off and we sat waiting for our meal. We talked about the usual stuff, favorite color, movie, etc. I sometimes made some things up, because honestly I couldn't remember much. Our food finally came and I dug in. He did the same and we finished in half an hour. Then we paid and left. It was 8 o'clock by the time we got to the movie theatre. The movie theatre was about 45 minutes away from our town. We had a rather small town and there wasn't much to do. We got out of the truck and walked up to the ticket booth. We examined the movies that were playing. "How about we see, Sinister, unless you're scared." I said cheekily. "No, not at all. Two tickets for Sinister please." he said handing the money to the lady. "Let me pay you back. You paid for dinner." I told him, already figuring the answer. "No way. I am paying for everything." What a gentleman. I smiled and we walked inside. "Want anything from the concession stand?" he asked me. "Can I get a coke icee?" I asked giggling. I was such a kid. "Sure do you want a kiddie toy with that too?" he said back. Then he winked. I walked over with him and he ordered my icee and then handed it to me. "Want some?" I asked. "Sure." We shared the icee. We walked into the theatre to take our seats and we sat in the back. There were a bunch of little twelve year olds on dates and they were sitting in front of us. I found a bag of popcorn a few seats down. "Are you thinking, what I'm thinking?" I asked picking up the popcorn. "I think so." Justin said back. We grabbed some handfuls and started chucking the popcorn at the kids. Then we ducked down before they saw us. The movie finally started and I have to admit it was a bit scary. I had to bury my head in his shoulders a bit. Not that he minded. When the movie was over we walked out. We were walking to find his truck. Before we got in we stood and he leaned over and we started kissing. It was a nice long kiss that I wasn't prepared for, it just sort of happened. Then he finally pulled away. Then opened the door for me to get in.

I leaned in and kissed Lily. Would she mind or like it. The questions were swirling in my head and then she didn't pull away. It felt amazing and little sparks were flying in my mind. I definitely cared a lot for her. I couldn't help but wonder if I had ever felt like this. The car ride back to her house was long. We finally pulled onto her street. "Lily, I have to ask you something?" "Yeah?" she asked. Here goes nothing. "Do you want to be my girlfriend?" I asked. Would she say yes. "Definitely. I had so much fun. We should do this again." We finally reached her driveway.

Lily's POV
I had just said yes to Justin's question. I didn't regret it at all. We pulled into my driveway and I saw my parent's car. Crap. "My paren'ts are back early." I said looking at the clock. "Thanks. I had fun. I'll text you tomorrow." I said hopping out of the car. I walked up to my window and climbed up my house to my room. I climbed inside. "Where have you been?"
