   Never Give Up
   Chapter 3
   Beep beep beep. I sat up in my bed slamming my hand over the alarm clock. I couldn’t stop thinking about my day at the beach with Josh and his friends, it was perfect. I picked up my phone and saw that I had 1 missed call. I didn’t bother to see who it was I just rose from my bed and walked towards the bathroom. After I showered I did my makeup and got dressed. That was when I heard my name being called from the bottom of the stair case. “Riley there is someone here for you” my mother yelled. I didn’t remember making any plans for anyone.
   I stood at the top of the stairs to see who had been waiting for me. When I reached the last step I looked up to see Josh standing there smiling at me. A smile spread across my face but before I managed to say anything Josh said “I thought that maybe you would like to go to breakfast with me.” I couldn’t even speak was he asking me on a date?!?! But I didn’t want to sound like a loser so in reply I said “sure. Why not.”
   Josh and I walked out of the house without another word. I stared at the ground waiting for him to say something. When I finally looked up at him I saw that he was staring at me and smiling. “What’s so funny” I asked curiously. He ran his finger threw his hair and bit his lip
   “I’m not laughing, I am simply smiling” he said in return. I glared and him and stared at the ground once more. Then I heard him laugh, I looked up at him and stopped walking. Josh stopped too and sat on a bench. He motioned for me to come and sit with him. I walked forward and sat next to him. “Riley I am not laughing at you I promise” he said taking my hand “you are so insecure I remember the first time I saw you, you were staring at the ground like you were out of place. You do it now, you must feel out of place. Well Riley you aren’t because you fit in here fine.” He paused and looked at his feet and then looked at me “Riley I really like you and I don’t want you to feel out of place.”

   Never Give Up
   Chapter 2
   My first day flew by. It wasn’t even that bad. Every class that I had with Josh he would sit right next to me. I didn’t really know if he liked me but it seemed like it to me. At the end of the day Josh even asked for my number, I almost freaked out but I managed to stay calm. The only boy’s number I had in my phone was my brother’s but he lives in Europe. “How was your day?” my mother said. I looked at her and smiled
   "It was fine" I managed to say. Inside I couldn't stop thinking about Josh.
   Later that day I got a text from a number that I didn't recognize. Heey Riley its Josh I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go to the beach later.... yeah bring ur bikini cause we r gunna swim to it will be lots of fun I promise. I started to flip out I didn't think that he would actually text me. So later that night i put on my best bikini, brushed my teeth, and headed out the door. From a distance I could see Josh and his friends standing around throwing a volleyball. "Hiya" I maneged to say. Josh turned and looked at me a wide smile flashed across his face revealing his pearl white teeth. "Ah Riley you decided to come" he said pulling me towards his friends.
   He introduced me to all of his friends, I reconginized a few from some of my classes. They all seemed to be pretty nice. "Lets get in the water" Yelled one of his friends named Ryan. Everyone started to strip down into their bathing suits and rush into the water. I started to laugh as I took off my nice beach dress and layed it on a chair. One of the girls named Addie came up to me "Riley um im not sure if you know me but im Addie" she said.
   "Oh Addie yeah I think you are in my History class" I said in return. Addie swiftly nodded her head and pulled me towards the water. As I stood near the shoreline the water touched my toes, nice and cold the way I liked it. I saw Addie shiver and start to turn around so i grabbed her and pulled her deeper into the water. Than I saw josh, he had a perfect six pack like all of his other firends. I realized that I might actually be falling for this boy.

   Never Give Up
   chapter 1
   “This is your new school” she said. I gritted my teeth at the way she said new school. This would be my third high school in two years. But before we get into any details my name is Riley, I am 16 years old, I hate sports but I maintain a thing figure. My hair is dark brown and goes down just below my shoulders, and my eyes are chocolate brown.
   I always change schools because my mother changes jobs so much. I suggested that I should be home schooled so that it would be easier but she declined my suggestion. I unbuckled my seat belt and left the car without a word. Welcome to the Brighton school the sign read. I walked up the steps and pushed the door wide-open. As I entered the school I suddenly felt unwelcomed. I glanced around until I found the door that read main office.
   As I entered the office a short lady appeared and gave me a sweet smile. “Riley Stone, I presume” she said. I nodded and walked towards her she gave me a schedule and a map of the school. Then she fixed her glasses and said “oh wait Josh, do you think that you could show our new student around the school.” He flashed her a smile and nodded and opened the door and gestured for me to walk in front of him. Josh was tall I would guess about 6’1 he had short brown hair and amazing brown eyes. “Well new student” he said with a smile “I’m Josh.” I looked him and smiled at his joke. I stuck my hand out and said
   “My name is Riley. It’s nice to meet you Josh.”
