You know what I hate?
That being socially awkward is popular now.
Like, are you kidding me?
You're popular.
You have millions of friends.
I guarantee you have no idea what it's like to actually be "socially awkward".
You don't know what it's like to be terrified of everything.
So you think being socially awkward is cool?
Try having it be your best friend's birthday.
And you're all ready to go, but then you find yourself sitting in the hallway.
Shaking so bad you can't feel your hands.
Being completely numb.
So frustrated you'd honestly rather die than be how you are.
Crying so hard you can't see straight.
And having no one understand what's going on.
Try wanting to do something more than anything in the world.
But you can't because you fly into a panic attack whenever you try.
Try meeting someone you've wanted to meet forever.
But not being able to even force words out of your mouth.
Feeling like you're going to throw up.
Visibly shaking.
And trying your hardest to hide the fact that you're so scared you're almost crying.
Try not being able to go to school because you've had so many panic attacks there that you're mocked constantly.
Try being physically unable to move.
Try actually being terrified.
You go through real social anxiety,
try being truly socially awkward,
Then you tell me how "cool" it is.

i wonder if anyone,
ever looks at me and thinks, "who is that girl? i need to meet her". i wonder if a guy has ever seen me and thought, "i need to see her again". i wonder if anyone i've ever met has ever gone looking for me again, thinking, "i need to find the girl with the feather necklace.." can they tell how much i've hurt? can they see how happy i am now? even though i'm still a bit flawed and broken? i wonder if he's ever looked at me and thought,

this is my story.
my real story of me.
and how a boy ive never met saved my life.
a boy who has no idea i exist.
this probably will just get scrolled right past.
because its not too pretty.
but if you read it,
i love you.
okay... so basically i have reaaaally really bad social anxiety. i have my entire life. but in like, 6th grade it got really bad. halfway through 6th grade, i had a full on panic attack in the middle of class. and i started getting picked on because of that. then in 7th grade, everything got worse. more panic attacks, more bullying. i was home schooled the last 3 months of 7th grad because i was so terrified to go back. 8th grade was alright. bullying off and on, but definitely better. then 9th grade hit. my freshman year was HELL. i literally went to school maybe 2 months, and in those two months, the bullying and panic attacks got so bad to the point where i went for a week barely eating and slept a combined total of maybe 3 hours. and then i got depressed and the suicidal tendencies got awful. so the point where my parents were afraid to leave me in a room alone: i was a wreck and one day i had my ipod on, and i gave up. i was over everything and i literally was seconds away from ending it all when Not Alone (by Darren Criss) came on and I just broke down. now im finally starting to pull everything back together. and in august, itll be a year since the night he saved my life...
