Beverly Taylor woke up and sighed happily. Her beautifully comfortable, flower-patterned bed and feather-filled pillows felt like heaven beneath her.
After relaxing for a few minutes, she rose and put her hair in a ponytail, her bright green eyes studying the hair-do to make sure there were no bumps or mistakes. As she turned to her walk-in wardrobe, her soft, blonde hair brushed off her shoulder. She got her freshly-ironed green and black cheerleader uniform and put it in her kit bag. She then picked out a black and white tank top, blue denim jeans and black heels. She approached her golden mirror, applied her make-up and put in her contact lenses.
She went downstairs, to find her father drinking coffee and reading the newspaper.
"Good morning, daddy." she spoke brightly, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. He returned her smile, wrinkles appearing around his eyes.
As Beverly went to get her own coffee, she noticed her father wincing as he lifted the mug to his lips. She went to sit beside him.
"What did the doctor say?" she asked him, trying to prepare herself for the answer.
His smile had disappeared and his eyebrows met in the middle of his forehead. "He said that the cancer had spread. The treatment isn't working... I have a month."
Beverly had been preparing for this day since her father was first diagnosed, over a year ago, but she still couldn't help the tears that rolled slowly down her cheeks.

Family Tree
Beverly Taylor gets everything she wants - until her single-parent-father passes away and she is put in care. Once she lose all her new, latest, designer clothes she also loses her all her 'friends'. It's then that she becomes closer to her brother, Joshua. Just as life starts looking up, she falls in love - with her brother's enemy. She now must choose between love or family.
Will changes be made to Beverly's family tree?
