you know your a softball player when,
someone is chasing you,you slide
you get annoyed when people call home plate "home base"
your favorite sound is the ping of the 60 mph pitch hitting the bat
you have strawberries all over your knees
people trip you automatically yell your safe or your out
you get mad when guys tell you its easier to hit a softball then a baseball
at the end of the summer your knees are the only tan part of your legs
waking up at 8 am for a tournament is considered late
you havent been to church on sundays for months
during the season you find yourself singing cheers outside of games
when someone starts to do something then stops you yell BAWK!
your not afraid to slide into somebody
gatorade and sunflower seeds have become your own personal food group

you know when people tell you think of your happy place,
everybody answers hawaii,bahamas,my room ect.
well i like to think of the place with all the dirt and grass,
bases,bats,gloves and balls
everybody treats you with respect,
cuz your all out there going for one goal
to touch home plate as many times at you can
to hit the ball out of the park
