There was a boy who lived in
the Bronx and was in
a gang .
He was 14 years old and was already in a lot of trouble.
No school.No family.no friends.
Maybe his lack of guidance explains his drugs and gangs.
While we go home to a nice home and bed,
he lived on the streets
one night the boy caught another boy walking around with a knife
that night he went to the nearest shelter he could find
it happened to be a dance studio.
for weeks he hid in the dance studio observing the dancers.
finally he got the courage after 2 and a half weeks to come out. he joined the back of the class.,
at the end of the class the teacher came up to him
she said,
" I dont know who you are or where you come from but you are a terrific dancer"
It was as if she knew what he had been through
he stayed with the dance teacher for a while. she took him in.
a month later on tv,
he saw there had been some gang violence in his old neighborhood.
The other people who he used to hang out with were dead.
he recognized the killer
It was the boy with the knife
Dance saved his life
I saw this somewhere once. I was truly inspired. People take so many things for granted now a days. I dance myself. to know that dance can save someone just inspires me to do better
