Honestly, for the complaints about witty... I think there's just a lot more people on the site. And so what has changed are the things that just come with more people. Top quotes get a lot more favorites. No longer do a few people dominate "witty fame." There have always been jockers, and maybe I am just not on anymore, but they don't seem to be as big of a deal as they used to be.
I've always wondered if Steve created this site as a place for actual adults to post quotes that they liked. You've probably noticed that his quotes have minimal formatting. I also guess that he didn't expect a bunch of girls to be on this site! haha :)

Your formatting is golden.
This comment is going to sound stupid, but I was on witty a few years ago, closer to the beginning of the site. Back in the days of the dominance of Everlong and MyEye6. I was the first to use text shadows in quotes on this site.

to shorten codes, you can do a number of things. sometimes you have to modify a quote, but sometimes you don't have to, you just have to condense your formatting a little bit. do you have specific codes saved? you can email them to me and i can look at them and give you specific suggestions... my email is on my profile. reply
