Before I leave for dance class I check my facebook one more time. I see my two notifications and look out the window to see if Melanie is here yet, but I hear the chat noise and look at my computer.
It’s Christian. The last time I talked to him was over a month ago after I found out he was with another girl. Why would he chat me now? I look at the bottom oh my screen and there it is: a simple hey written next to his name. It’s almost like a boring text conversation you have with someone you barely know(hey, whats up, nothin much) but then he asks the question that makes me think a little: should I not talk to you? I’m in shock. Why would he chat me in the first place if he was just going to say that?! I tell him that I’m over what happened and his response just sends me into shock again. I’m so sorry . Then my phone starts ringing.
I look down at it, and see Melanie’s hilarious picture. She tells me she’s here so I just tell Christian I have to go to dance and that maybe we could talk about it later. I run downstairs, slip some flip-flops on, and I’m out the door. I step in and slam the door pretty hard. I look at her straight in the eye and say, “He did it. He apologized that one last time.”
*phone vibrates*
