He ran after me and caught me halfway up the stairs on the second story.
"It's rude to leave your company, it shows bad manners."

"Baylie I saw the look on your face, believe me you care."
"I don't know what you saw, but it definitley wasn't that, i hate to dissapoint you."

"You mean it's not changing until barbie down there asks you out on another date, do you tell all the girls
that or just the ones that are hard to get?"
"Baylie, I don't tell any girls that, you can ask anyone from our school, anyone in our town, i don't date a lot of girls
my last girlfriend was 4 months ago, and i haven't thought of any other girls until i met you, and believe me, i've had offers, but none that i wanted to accept, but i like you, & i don't get why that's so hard for you to believe."
"Because, Big-shot california guys like you, don't like small-town country girls like me, theres nothing special about me, i'm definitley not pretty like miss, katie down there, i'm not that fun to be around, & i'm not very interesting, so you tell me why it would be hard for me to believe that you, mr. popularity would like me."

"well let me go change first i look a mess i have sweats on, my hair up, no make-up."

"haha yeah suree, that's a bunch of bull."
"nahh, it really isn't but believe me, where were going, no one will care what you look like."
"Okay if you say so"
We snuck out the back-door so Katie wouldn't have to tag along.
we got in his car me in the passenger seat and him in the driver's seat. i had my hand on the middle compartment, and he put his on mine, and i didn't pull away, i think that suprised him.
He just smiled. He let me pick the song, because he had his ipod hooked up.
I chose Dark Blue, by Jack Mannequin.
"I love this song, it isn't like all that other stuff i have on my ipod, this song actually has meaning."
"Wow, & I thought you were just a pretty boy" I said.
"That should teach you not to judge people off of first appearances."
I thought about pulling my hand away & he seemed to sense this, so he actually held my hand with no intentions of letting go, this made me smile. Maybe he wasn't so horrible after all.
then his phone buzzed, i looked at it, it was from katie. of freaking course.
i opened the text and it said, "What makes her so special? I've known you for four years and you've known her for 2 days and you still pick her over me."
I was speechless, i didn't know what to say, he picked me over barbie look-a-like Katie?
Why would he do that. He sensed something happened so he looked at the text & started smiling.
Does that convince you enough? Does that finally prove to you that i'm serious when i say i like you it's not a joke i'm as serious as can be. i like you Baylie Johnson, so please just let me, let me in, let me like you, let me talk to you, let me find things out about you, let me know you.
I didn't notice right away but a few silent tears escaped from my eyes, not from sadness, but from happiness, i couldn't believe something like this was happening to me, i'm Baylie Lynn Johnson, the girl that has the worst luck, and something good is finally happened to me.
"Don't cry, I hate it when you cry it hurts me to see you cry." he said as he wiped away a tear on my cheek with his thumb. A few seconds later we arrived to wear we were going. He parked the car in the woods and we got out. He held my hand and we started walking up this hill/mountain thing once we got to the top we sat on this rock, and from the rock, you could see the most amazing view of the ocean.
"i'm sorry i was so horrible to you when i met you, i guess i just didn't understand how nice you were. Now I feel absolutley horrible now." He was still holding my hand.
"don't apoligize, & don't feel bad, it's okay."
He smiled and kissed me on the cheek.
This is the moment i would remember FOREVER.
