Chapter Twenty Seven
ZAYNS POV
5 YEARS LATER
I drove down to Louis' house, shaking the entire way there.
What if he said no?
What if he thought I was an idiot?
What if he laughed at me?
Let me back track a little. Me and Lily broke up when she went to university because I was always on tour, and she was always studying, and we didn't have time for each other.
We thought it was for the best, but I was absolutely miserable.
I went on a few dates, but never anything serious because I loved Lily.
We started talking a lot again her second year of uni, but it wasn't until her last year that we got back together.
And I've never been happier in my life.
I pulled in to Louis' driveway, and knocked on the door.
"Zayn, mate!" He grinned, "What brings you here?"
"Hey Zayn" Eleanor smiled.
"Hi El" I greeted then turned back to Lou, "Louis we need to talk"
Eleanor, never one to be nosy, discretly walked upstairs, and I was grateful.
"What's up man?" Louis asked.
"You know you're one of my best mates, yeah?" I asked.
"Yeah" Louis said.
"And you're Lily's best friend" I said.
"Yes" He nodded.
"And I love Lily" I stated.
"Where is this going?" He asked, impatiently.
"I'm going to propose" I blurted.
"Really?" He asked, "Congrats man!"
"I wanted your blessing" I said.
He grinned at me, and gave me a man-hug.
"You've had my blessing for 5 years"

(Author's note- i forgot to end this story lololol, i probs wont write on here anymore tho noone reads, but now uk the end yayyy!)

Chapter Twenty Six
Finding Louis wasn't hard, not at all.
I knew he'd go to his mom for comfort, without a doubt.
So after I got off the plane, I sped all the way to his childhood home.
And knocked on the door impatiently.
His mum answered.
"Ah, Lily darling" She said warmly, allowing me to step in, "I was debating whether it'd be you or Eleanor"
"He- he told you?" I stuttered.
"Well, of course dear" She smiled, leading me to the couch and sitting down near me.
"And you don't hate me?" I asked.
"Lily, I absolutely don't hate you" She smiled, "You can't help loving Zayn, and I think Louis knows that"
"Can I talk to him?" I asked.
"Yeah, go on up" She nodded, pointing to the stairs.
I knew the way of course, I couldn't count the times I'd been in his room.
My best friend.
And then it hit me.
My best friend. Best. Forever.
No one should ever come above that.
I've been so stupid.
I knocked on his door determined.
"Mum, go away!" He shouted.
I opened the door, and stepped in.
"Lily?" He asked, "What are you doing here?"
"I'll break up with him" I said clearly.
"Wha- what?" He asked.
"I'll dump him. Right now even" I said bluntly, "He's not worth giving up you, nobody is and nobody ever will be"
"Lily" He said, and pulled me into a deep hug.
We sat there for a while, and I told him everything.
The whole truth.
He listened and then was silent for a couple minutes.
"You should've told me from the start" He said calmly.
"You told me he was off limits" I said, "I didn't wanna make you mad"
"Well you failed" He laughed, and I did too.
We sat in his childhood room, one I knew as well as my own, and just relaxed.
"I don't want you to break up with him" He said finally.
"Really?" I asked.
"You're happy, Lily" He smiled, "That's all that matters to me"

Let me tell you something about Giovanna Plowman.
We were best friends in middle school.
I know, r i g h t ?
It's so embarassing.
I don't even...whatever.
So then in eighth grade, I got my p e r i o d, and Giovanna was like, weirdly jealous of it.
Like, if I would blow her off because of period pains, she'd be like, "Why didn't you let me have your tampon?"
And I'd be like, "What is wrong with you?"
So then, for my birthday party, which was an all-girls pool pary, I was like, "Giovanna, I can't invite you, because I think you're gonna steal everyone's tampons."
I mean I couldn't have HER at my party.
There were gonna be girls there on their PERIODS.
I mean, right?
She was OBSESSED.
So then her mom called my mom and started y e l l i n g at her, it was so retarded.
And then she dropped out of school because no one would talk to her, and she came back in the fall for h i g h s c h o o l, all of her hair was cut off and we was totally weird.
And now I guess she eats tampons.
