    Makeup Tip #30
    [revive your face]
Ever have a long night, and just look exhausted the day afterwards? To look more revived and alive, pat concealer onto the inner corners of your eyes, under your lower lashes, and next to your nose. Finish by swirling bronzer over your cheeks.

    [fake perfect skin]
Concealer is only half the battle when it comes to fixing flaws. To really perfect your complexion, no matter what you're skin tone is, try wearing a lipstick in warm pink. It will distract people's eyes from blemishes and other imperfections.

    [white eyeliner]
White eyeliner on your lower rims will make your eyes appear bigger. If you're the kind of girl who feels like a ring of dark eyeliner makes you look like you have small, dime eyes. Apply the liner to the inner corner of your eye as well to brighten up the look.

    [choosing concealer]
If your skin tends to be ruddy, or reddish, use a green color corrective stick. If you have a sallow, or yellow complexion, look for a concealer in shades of lilac or pink. Olive or darker skin tones need a peachy or apricot concealer.

    Makeup Tip #26
    [bold brows]
Comb your brows with a spoolie brush or clean mascara wand to see how they lay naturally. Using a soft, slightly waxy brow pencil, shape the brow by using the thinner side of the tip. Then, take the flatter angle of the pencil and fill in the brow using short strokes. Finish by blending a shimmery highlighter just below the brow bone to add brightness and lift.

    Makeup Tip #25
    [sky-high lashes]
Be sure that your mascara is no more than a month old- fresh mascara glides on easier and wont flake. Wiggle the mascara wand in at the base of the lash and sweep outward and upward. The trick to perfect lashes is to get the thickness in at the base of the lashes and taper them naturally to the ends, as opposed to chunky, thick ends.

    Makeup Tip #23
    [primers]
Makeup primers are just that. They prime your skin before adding any other makeup. Foundation primers will even out your skin tone, shrink pores and visible lines, and absorb oil so your makeup will stay on longer. They should be applied to a clean face, and some are moisturizing enough so you don't have to moisturize. Eye makeup primers keep eye makeup where you put it, keep the crease away, and make it virtually smudge proof.

    Makeup Tip #22
    [sunscreen in the winter]
Yes, it's true- you should still wear sunscreen in the winter. UVA rays stay the same all year round, and can cause wrinkles and skin cancer later on in life if your skin isn't protected. Put on a moisturizer with at least SPF 15 under your makeup every day. Believe me, you'll thank yourself for that later in life.

    [greasy hairline]
If your hairline starts to get greasy, and you don't have time to shower, dip a big makeup brush into loose powder. Tap it once on the back of your hand to remove excess, then dust it over your roots. It mops up oil and blends into your strands.

    Makeup Tip #20
    [covering dark under eye circles]
Find a concealer made especially just for under your eyes. Don't use the same shade to cover up acne and redness, because it will be too light. Pick a shade a little darker than your foundation, so that it is corrective enough for the purple-ish color under the eye. Apply the concealer with a brush, as it blends better.

[how to use an eyelash curler]
Eyelash curlers work best on clean lashes, so make sure they are free of mascara. Never apply mascara before curling, as lashes can stick to the curler and be torn from their roots. With your blowdryer on low heat, blow air on the curler for no more than 5 seconds. Open the curler and clamp lashes near the roots, careful not to clamp your eyelid. Hold for 10-30 seconds and repeat on the other eye. Apply
    mascara.

    Makeup Tip #17
    [the right tools]
You don't need a bunch of expensive brushes, but it is good to invest in one round tip blush brush. You'll need another good brush if you use loose-powder. Use sponge tip applicators for an opaque eyeshadow application, and soft bristle-brushes for a smokey eye look. Finally, cosmetic sponges that can be found at the drugstore are the best way to apply foundation evenly.

    Makeup Tip #16
    [common makeup mistakes]
    1. People often think that foundation is used to lighten the skin tone, but it is really used to even it out. Using too dark or too light of a foundation could end up in uneven skin tone, and will not turn out how you might have thought.
    2. The most common eye makeup mistake is drawing eyeliner too far away from your upper lash line. Try to apply eyeliner right on the lash line and blending it. Otherwise, too far up eyeliner will make eyes look droopy and over decked up.
    3. Eye shadow the same color as lipstick. Eyeshadow is supposed to compliment or match your outfit, not go with the lipstick.
    4. Applying too many coats of mascara in an attempt to make them look longer will end in clumpiness and over-thickness. Use an eyelash curler before your mascara, that way your eyelashes will be long and curled, so you won't have to use as much mascara.
    5. Using makeup only on the face is the most common makeup mistake. This will make your face stand out- and not in a good way. Run your foundation brush along your jawline and fading while going down your neck to even the tone out, and set with powder.

    Makeup Tip #14
    [fuller lips]
To begin, choose a lip liner in a color that will compliment your skin tone and line your lips along the outer edge. Smudge the liner with your finger or a Q-tip, blending inward toward the center of your lips. Next, apply a light shade of lipstick to your lips, concentrating most of it towards the center to allow the lip liner to stand out. Then apply an even lighter shade of lipstick to the center of your bottom lip and under the cupid's bow. Smudge in lightly. Blot your lips softly with a tissue and powder them around the edges to set the color. Finally, apply clear lipgloss to the center of your bottom lip for a dewy look.

    Makeup Tip #13
    [applying foundation]
The right foundation will even out your skintone and give you the appearance of flawless skin. Before applying foundation, make sure you have clean hands and a clean, moisturized or primed face. Camouflouge your dark, under eye circles with a concealer and pat it onto your skin. Then, using a makeup sponge or your finger tips, apply dots of foundation on your cheeks, chin, forehead, and tip of the nose. I reccommend blending with a foundation stickle brush, but you can use a sponge. Don't use your fingers to blend! Pay special attention to your hairline and jawline to make sure there is no obvious line. Set the foundation with a loose powder immediately after application.
