I think suicide is selfish for a number of reasons:
-Because some (not all) people who commit suicide are abandoning their responsibilities.
-Suicide is contagious. Studies show them when one person in a school kills themselves, others often copy them. There is a reason they no longer track or publicize people jumping of the Golden Gate Bridge.
-It represents a decision not to do anything for anyone else. If you truly decide your life is of no value to you, there are all sorts of things you can still do for others. Give blood, volunteer, get on the bone marrow registry, etc. For that matter, if you are planning on killing yourself anyway, why not donate a kidney first? You aren't going to need it. People who kill themselves never do that. Why not join the army? You can do some good, and maybe you'll get "lucky" and get killed.
-Of course, when someone is depressed they imagine that their lives have no meaning to others that no one cares, etc. Even a loser is usually loved by their Mom. Even if by some weird quirk no one cared about you, there are things ANYONE can do that are important. It is also often hard to see the feeling of others when you are too absorbed in your own hurt.

Suicide isn't selfish, i don't know why some people even thinks this. It's selfish because your life isn't perfect? REALLY? it's dumb. reply

@ifrolicktheoasis Hey thanks for your input on my quote. :) To clarify:
I understand how thinking it was selfish stopped you from carrying out with suicide, but I feel like people need to know that it's not an act of selfishness and it doesn't make you a selfish person. Of course no one should ever result to suicide, but they also shouldn't be told by anyone that their main reason to live is because it would just make things worse for someone else. reply

awww...tht was an amazing story....i know i was there for it all but when you say it it sounds so different...i found your calling: WRITER! youre sooooo good at it! thats one of the things i love about you. you have this ability to pour your soul out into words with such maturity and beauty!<3 oure amazing dont ever forget that! reply

malanaaaaa! i love love love you to death, you are so pretty no matter how many times you say you arent. your wicked smart, theres a reason mrs reynolds and mrs forman had recommened you for ela and history hohors, and dont worry we're all exuasted getting up at 5 30 does that to a person, and why would you feel lonely? you frends are always calling you 24/7! and theres no way you could feel oput of place you have amazing friends that really like you for you. just stay strong i know the whole situation of that one stupid guy is obnoxious but boys are stupid =) they dont get it. just stay strong and call me whenever! it doesnt have to be just on wednesdays! love you! reply
