Katie: what?
Eric: nothing
(Eric smiles again)
Katie: what??why are you smiling?
Eric: (giggles) something...
Katie: is it about me?
Eric: (giggles) it could be
Katie: why are smiling? is there a bug on me? please get it off!!
Eric: no there's no bug calm down!
Katie: then what is it?
Eric: i dont think i can tell you
Katie: you can tell me anything...we've been neighbors and best friends
our whole lives, we tell each other everything remember?
Eric: i suppose
Katie: so are you going to tell me?
Eric: i love a girl
Katie: oh
(shocked and a little heart broken..she thought for sure it would be him and her forever)
Eric: yeah and i was just thinking of her and i smiled.
Katie: so are you going to tell this girl? or tell me who she is.
Eric: maybe
Katie: maybe to which question?
Eric: both
Katie: come on lets go
Eric: where?
Katie: to get the phone.
Eric: why?
Katie: your going to call her and tell her
Eric: why? i dont need too!
Katie: yes you do...you love her so you might as well tell her
Eric: no i mean i dont need a phone to tell her
Katie: your going to tell her in person?
Eric: yeah i think its better that way
Katie: when?
Eric: oh idk..whenever i guess
Katie: well call her and invite her over!
Eric: ok i'll see you later..im going home to pick up my room a little..
Katie: oh ok byee
(thinking of yelling i love you...but doesnt)
Eric: cya
Katie: in her room looking out her window, listening to music,
& watching him clean his room for that girl she'll never be,
its not like he ever cleans his room for her
Eric: cleaning his room looking at the picture of the girl he loves...hoping Katie cant see it
Katie: i wonder what he's thinking...i wonder who she is! omg hes calling her..
-Eric picks up phone and starts dialing-
-in that time Katie start to cry a little, Eric sees this and smiles. Katie's phone rings-
Katie: hello?
Eric: dont say anything until im finished, ok?
Katie: okay...Eric but you shouldnt be calling me...you should be calling that girl you
were talking about
Eric: I am, Katie you've always been my best friend,
your always here for me and i know you always will be,
you are truly the peanut butter to my jelly,
you are my best friend in the whole wide world, and when i was
cleaning my room i saw you start to cry,
see the thing is Katie, when you cry,
you make me want to die, knowing that you are crying it kills me to see you cry,
and i have to tell you a story, hopefully it'll make you feel better.
5 summers ago we went to the lake together, and
we had our first kiss together, well together and our first kiss ever
we were both young i mean we were 9..but still
i haven't stopped thinking about that moment,
Katie, i love you, i always have and always will, and when i smiled
today it was because i almost leaned over and kissed you, and it brought
me back to the lake again when the sun hit your hair so perfect you looked so beautiful,
like an angel, and today i stopped myself from kissing you because i thought i should
tell you how i feel first and then i thought after this phone call I'd drop the phone race you to
the park sit in our secret tree house and kiss you, like i never kissed you before. because
your the only girl I've ever kissed, you were the first and i want you to be the last,
with no other girl in the middle of that time period.
Katie: Eric, i was crying because i love you too and i thought that
it was you and me forever until you said you loved a girl,
and i saw you hanging on to that picture in your room smiling i knew you were truly happy.

Eric interupts her: please dont!
Katie: o to the park...and i hope i dont have to walk alone holding hands
with the air.
they both hang up, run outside kiss, and walk to the park holding hands,
walking past some of their friends who yell after them "FINALLY!!"
