I think what a lot of people have a hard time understanding is that someone's religion (or lack thereof) isn't something you can easly change. It's not like a math problem, you can't explain it a certain way over and over to get them to understand you. Because religion isn't fact, it's an explanation. Some people will decide they don't like religion, and prefer to turn to science, even when science doesn't have a real answer. Others see something in whatever religion they choose to follow that makes them think "I like this. I find comfort in this." or "This makes sense to me. I believe in this." There is no way to prove who is right as far as religion goes because religion isn't a fact, it's a truth.
