In The Distance
Chapter 2 Kaylins' POV
I heard the front door slam open. I felt myself starting to shake and sweat. I was swearing at the men in my head. Those brain washed rag dolls. I heard their foot steps get louder and louder. They were practically over us. Than, They changed their direction. I heard the footsteps towards the closet. I felt my heart skip a beat.
"Mama" Tonya whispered.
"check it!" One of the men screamed.
They had an accent. I heard the creaky, old door open.
"Nothing!" One man screamed.
When he said that, His accent made him sound like he said "Nuting!". I know I shouldn't of thought that was funny, especially in that situation, but I did. They turned their direction towards the front door and walked out. Tonya immediately got up. "What are you doing! Get down!" I whispered loudly.
"Getting mom?" "No, They could still be in front of the house, wait another 10 minutes, That's what mama always told us, Idiot!"
Tonya gave me the stink eye.
"I just saved our lives because of you, shut up" I thought to myself. We waiting there like sitting ducks. If this is how the war is going to continue, How will we live like this for much longer?
ugh, This chapter was basically a waste. It does get better, though. Just letting y'allz kn0w. 3rd chapter will be up on Friday. 4th on Sunday. pceeeeee.

In The Distance
Chapter 1 Kaylins' POV
"Hurry, Kaylin!" My mom yelled while panicking. I grabbed my leather bag off of my bed. It was one of the most expensive items I've ever owned. I started tossing my blouse & skirts in the bag. "Kaylin, They're coming!"
My mom screamed. I heard gun shots in the distance. I started to tremble & I knew I had to move faster, but I couldn't get my fingers to move any faster. It was as if I was moving in slow motion. "It's too late!"
Tonya said while pointing to my window. I slowly crept up to look out of my dirty, broken window. There was my worst nightmare. I felt my stomach in my throat, my heart beat ten times faster, my fingers start to sweat. I felt frozen in time. There were the men in green. Their giant guns at their hip. The swastika over their hearts. Those monsters in Amsterdam, coming to kill ever Jew or person that didn't follow Hitlers' orders. "Kaylin!"
My mom screamed in agony. I grabbed my bag & hurried over to my mom. She lifted up the little hollow table we called a coffee table. She bent down and opened up the little hatch door. "Go down, I'll be okay." My mom said as she hugged and kissed me and Tonya. "But, Mama.."
Tonya said. "I'll be fine. I love both of you."
Me and Tonya jumped down into the hiding area. I heard my mothers footsteps above me running towards the coat closet. I huddled towards Tonya. "We love you, Mama" Me and Tonya both said in a whisper.
"Good Luck."

I'M GUNNA WRITE A STORY, OK.
There are some things I'd like to adress.
i'm scared no one will read it, But if
you're interested so far, I'll give a quick
run down of what it is about!
it's called "In The Distance"
It is during the holocaust. Kaylin Shapiro and her sister Tonya are left to fend for
themselves after the tragic loss of their morther. (This is nearing the end of war world 2, so like, yeah..)
That's like basically it. I'm posting
the 1st chapter tomorrow! Also, My capitalization isn't working on this
quote because he coding is all lowercase
