One Thing
Chapter 2
Charlotte's POV
I rushed out of the mall. I wish I would've had time to talk to Harvey, get to know him better. He was really cute and had a
british accent, which was irresistable. If it was any other day, I would have asked him to lunch in the food court and we could've
talked and maybe seen a movie, but this was prom day. It was weird, I had felt like I had seen him before, somewhere. I guess it
was just a weird coincidence. I had to rush home it was almost 12:30 and my best friend Jill was gonna be at my house at 1 to do my
hair. I basically raced home, going over the speed limit in my little Ford Ranger. I liked my truck, it got me from point a to point b
and it was pretty much adorable, I was so excited to get it for my 16th birthday present. I finally made it home and saw Jill's car
parked in front of my house. "I know, I know, I'm late." I yelled as I rushed in the house and sat my dress down. My mom, My older
sister, Tara and Jill were laughing as I ran back into the living room and sat down in the chair in front of Jill. I continued to apologize
as Jill did my hair, I knew it was going to be gorgeous because there is no one I trust more than Jill when it comes to hair, I knew
she would make me look beautful. Jill finished my hair around 3, and quickly did my makeup afterwards. "You look beautiful already
and you aren't even in your dress yet. Speaking of that, I better help you get in it, so you don't mess up your hair." I replied with a
gracious thank you and she helped me into my dress. Jill really was the sweetest person in the world, she was the one who helped me
pick out my dress in the first place, even though she couldn't go to prom because she was a year younger. I finally opened my eyes
and looked at myself in the mirror. It was the first time, I truly felt beautiful. I couldn't believe how I looked, I didn't even recognize
myself. I walked out into our living room and spun around for my family, they oohed and awed. I couldn't believe I was going to get
my sparkling moment. I heard a honk from outside, well the limo's here. I gave my dad a kiss on the cheek and ran out the door. It was
time for Prom 2014! I prayed that this would be a night to remember.
