Hi, I'm Carrie.
I'm also 17. I'm just a ordinary girl, living a normal life. Normal life for some people, if different from my normal. For we all have a story. You see, this is my time, my story. & I will now tell it.
When we are young. We want to be older. When we're finally older, we wish to be young again. For many, many reasons. Some, things are too hard now. Some, they wish to change what happened in the past. Some, miss how easy life was then. What we don't understand, we can't just keep dwelling on the past, or reminisce on things. We need to just move on, learn to live more, love more, laugh more. Everyone has a breaking point, not everyone gets to that. But for those who have, it seems like their world, just fell down, right in front of their eyes. I know, you're thinking, "When is she going to get to her story.." I slowly am. Be patient.
For you don't know, what I had behind my casually faked smile. Is a story, I wish to never tell. But for you, I will now, cause what I don't share, could lead to me, being hurt even more. We should never keep things bottled up inside, it isn't healthy & it's good to talk about things, even if it's just what I'm doing. Typing it all down, on my laptop. I don't think I ever will share this, too embarrassing? No, I wouldn't really call it that, I would say, I don't want people to think I'm complaining. I don't get what people see in me. I seem to always bring disappointment. I don't come to understand, why I don't just end everything & let it all be over with. But I have a purpose, just like YOU. You have a purpose, I have a purpose, EVERYONE has a PURPOSE. We don't see it yet. But we do. We don't acknowledge what we are capable of, what we can do, what we can do, for us. Everyone has a talent. You're never talentless. God made everyone with a special talent. So, you say, you have no talent. I say you do. Many others will tell you, you do. You DO. Find it. It may not be today, or tomorrow, or a week from now. But you will come to know, you have a talent, or you already know you, you're just too afraid of what others will think. Well this is what I say, screw what other people think, screw what they will tell you. "You're not good enough." "You can't." -- Many other things, did you know, only people who are jealous & envy you, wanna bring you down. Shocking isn't it? You think, "Why would they be jealous of me." Have you ever come to terms to even ask yourself, why wouldn't they be jealous of me. BECAUSE YOU CAN DO SOMETHING THEY PROBABLY CAN'T. Haters live to bring down others. You're unique. You have a gift. You're special. Show what you have, let the ones, who know you're talented, and love you enough to support you, see it. Cause the people who believe in you, will be there every step of the way.
I've also come to know, believing in yourself, is hard to do. Because you have been brought down so many times. Or pushed down so many times. You don't know how to get back up, you don't know if you even want too. I can tell you this. You do know how to get back up, you're just afraid too. But you don't need to be afraid. You need to see, you're capable of so much more, than you give yourself credit for. You can do many things, you can accomplish many things. Make something of yourself, prove people wrong, show people, you are who you are. & No one can stand in your way of that.
My story. I don't even need to tell it. By reading this, I'm sure you get a glimpse of how I once felt. "Who helped you." "How did you realize all that?" I have friends who care, family who care. & Many people, who love me. So do you. Wether you come to realize it or not. You do. Don't be afraid to be who YOU are. Cause being you, is the best you can be. You're strong. You're confident. You're beautiful.
