the butterfly project
for the people who want to make a difference. if you know anyone who harms themselves in any way, show this to them and let them know you care by drawing them a butterfly on their wrist.
1. when you feel like you want to cut or harm yourself, take a marker pen or sharpie and draw a butterfly on your arm or hand.
2. name the butterfly after a loved one, or someone that really wants to get better.
3. you must let the butterfly fade naturally. NO scrubbing it off.
4. if you cut or harm yourself before the butterfly is gone, you've killed it. if you dont cut of harm yourself, it lives.
5. if you have more then one butterfly and you cut or harm yourself, you have killed them all.
6. another person may draw them on you. this makes the butterflies extra special, so take good care of them.
