If You Really Knew Me...
You’d know that ugly is all I see when I look in the mirror every day. All I can think is “why would anyone ever want me?” When I’m at school, I feel like everyone is constantly judging me and thinking to themselves “God, she’s so ugly” “She’s a freak”. Every little imperfection on my body bothers me and makes me self-conscious. I don’t give my opinions much in class because I don’t want people to laugh or think or it’s stupid.
My grandpa died in June. I was extremely close to him. All day, I pretend it’s not bothering me. Then I cry myself to sleep.
Last month, my doctor told me I was borderline depressed. Then he suggested psychiatrists to my mom. I like going to my psychiatrist, but I don’t want to be the girl who has something wrong with her. It’s embarrassing.
My parents expect me to be perfect. They partied all the time in high school, so now they want me to be everything they weren’t. I’m expected to get great grades, have a ton of extracurricular in high school, be in the top ten or five, and get into Ivy Leagues. Next year they want me to start taking practice SATs.
I lost one of my best friends of nine years. It was for the best, but it’s still new, and I miss him.
Whenever someone says I’m pretty, I say thanks, but I don’t believe them. I feel like it’s a pity compliment.
It kills me when people are mad at me or disappointed in me. I never want either of those things. Ever.
I feel like I’m being annoying by talking about my problems. But that doesn’t seem to stop me from doing it, and I feel bad. I feel annoying just writing this huge vent thing.

Jake asked me to marry him when I was 5.
I said yes, but once we were 6 our parents explained we had to wait until we were 11 to date.
On my 11th birthday, at 12 am, Jake texted me
asking me out.
He proposed to me again 9 years later.
We're getting married tommorow.

Just an Aeropostale one, size medium, nothing special, completely average to the rest of the world.
But that's my sweatshirt that's been through everything.
I was wearing it at the bus stop on the first day of 7th grade, nervous as hell.
When I felt like I didn't fit in, it fit me perfectly.
I wore it for the good times with my newfound best friends.
Pokie fights gone bad (oh look the white out's still on the sleeve!).
I wore it when he broke my heart, leaving the sleeves soaked in tears.
It's always there when it's two in the morning and my best friends aren't awake to comfort me.
It's been there for everything.
