It does in fact make a drug when mixed with something else but do you walk around looking like you're high when you buy them late at night when it's raining? It was a suggestion by the dispatcher he didn't have to follow what the dispatcher said. Zimmerman was doing what he was supposed to do by checking out suspicious behavior and he felt that trayvon looked suspicious so he went after trayvon and then was attacked so he responded in self defense. Get your facts straight, please.

Yes it is very sad that Treyvon is dead. Death is always sad but Zimmerman is not guilty. Treyvon went to the store and bought two items when mixed with a common household item makes a drug. Treyvon also had a history of drugs. Zimmerman was doing his job and protecting his neighborhood. And Zimmerman was protecting himself. Self defense. Treyvon broke his nose and shoved it in concrete (idk in what order). This isn't anything to do with race. The media is trying to pull the race card white vs. black. When that is not true. Zimmerman is not white he is Hispanic American. Zimmerman was not doing anything based on race. He was doing his job in protecting the neighborhood and he was protecting himself.

Just out of curiosity, why is she "an idiot"? Sorry if that was meant to be sarcastic, seeing as you used incorrect grammar about which most annoying teenage girls who are not even grammar enthusiasts would accuse you in order to "proove" their own intelligence. I'm most likely over-analyzing your comment, so can you just answer the first part, please? Unless, of course, the rest applies.

whereismymind · 1 decade ago on quote 6825936
I called her an idiot because her "argument" is ridiculous. Just because what he had is used to make drugs, dosent mean he was going to make drugs. George Zemmerman saw a suspicious looking young black man and he assumed that he was trouble so he followed him. How would you react if someone is following you? Trayvon done what seemed to be the best thing, he defended himself. George Zemmerman agitated an attack on himself, then he shot Trayvon. She is saying that George Zemmerman is justified but he clearly bought that upon himself. George Zemmerman was a community watch person, so if he saw suspicious activity he was to report it not follow the person and bring on a fight. George Zemmerman had a gun, so he felt big and bad and saw a chance to use it. His actions were terrible, and she was basically saying that is was Trayvons fault which is a very ignorant statement, that is why I called her a idiot.

gmarie · 1 decade ago on quote 6825936
I'm sorry you took my comment as an attack on you (it wasn't). I know I tend to be insensitive with the way in which I phrase things, so I'm sorry. Okay, well I'm glad you at least have your own reasons for calling her an idiot. It's better than most people, who throw names without their own proof to back it up. As I understand it, you are saying she is an idiot due to the fact that she did not include all aspects of the truth in her argument. Good point. She'd fail her history paper without that valuable counter-argument. However, I did a fact check on her statement, and all is accurate, except, of course, for the series of opinions at the bottom, as they cannot be proven. So she makes a valid point, perhaps, minus the insufficiently backed opinions and the lack of a counter-argument. Regarding both of your statements, there are errors in the spelling of the names of your respective proposed aggressors. Assuming that is intentional and a way of showing spite, I would disregard it except for the fact that it makes both of you appear rather ignorant about the trial. You should, if you had both done your research (as I'm sure you have), have known the correct spelling for each name. Again, I'm sure it was intentional, but it doesn't help your argument (source - theme reader). As for your argument, the first fact (about the products' potential to be used as drugs) is indeed a valid point. Good. There is a container of bath salts directly in front of my as we speak. It came in a Christmas basket from my grandmother, and just because she bought it, doesn't mean she (or I) intend to use it as drugs. However (and this applies to both your arguments), it was dark, right? (That's rhetorical. The images of Trayvon purchasing the items showed that it was dark outside) Could Zimmerman see what Trayvon was holding? I personally doubt it. My vision isn't that good for sure. If he could see, he must have been doing a really good job of eating his carrots like mommy said haha :) Basically, no. He couldn't see what Trayvon was holding. That means the items' potential to be used as drugs is negligable in Zimmerman's pursuit of the young man. Next point: Zimmerman brought the attack on himself. True, he followed Trayvon and was acting very high and mighty. Trayvon decided to give him a hard time about it as many teenage boys would do. Neither of them were being nice, but until that point, no one had done anything that was illegal. Zimmerman was also pursuing the boy due to the fact that he matched the description of boys who had been seen leaving the scene of a previous break-in. Following Trayvom in and of itself was not wrong, just really rude. If you're suspicious, you're meant to notify authorities (which he did) and keep an eye on the suspect so he or she has not disappeared by the time authorities arrive. Confronting the boy was where it all went wrong, I guess. There is proof that Trayvon attacked him and was trying to kill him (slamming his head into the ground). Then Zimmerman decided to shoot him. At that point, there is no denying that he was defending his own well-being, however the way in which he did so was questionable. For example, he might have been able to throw the boy off, threaten him by letting him know the police were coming, or otherwise encourage him not to continue the beating. I cannot tell you what was going through Zimmerman's mind as he pulled the trigger, but I can tell you facts. As cold as they are, and as upset as I am with the verdict (I'm an emotionless typer if you couldn't tell), I can't find enough physical proof that Zimmerman is guilty of second degree murder. They should have tried him for voluntary manslaughter. Then he most likely would have been convicted. To sum it up, she's not an idiot, by definition, but at least you had factual evidence as to why her argument was false.

whereismymind · 1 decade ago on quote 6825936
I was not aware that I spelled George Zimmermans name wrong. I thought I was correct. When I first started getting into the case I assumed that Zimmerman was racial profiling Trayvon. The fact that I am black also contributed to the thought that Zimmerman racial profiled Trayvon because he was a black male and he looked suspicious. The fact that Zimmerman had a gun made him feel big and bad, and react to the situation differently than what he would have, if he was unarmed. Zimmerman was wrong for following Trayvon, considering he was simply a neighborhood watch person. Zimmerman bought this situation upon himself. After reevaluating my viewpoint on this case I decided to stop playing the "race card" and determine that the case has little to do with race. Zimmerman was being a bully and agitating a confrontation because he was armed. I disagree with the verdict and I believe Zimmerman should be in jail, for manslaughter. About your apology: I accept it. Yes, you did come across as agreesive but as I continued reading your comment I determined that you weren't trying to attack me, you just didnt understand something and you were simply looking for clarification.

Oh yeah sorry and thanks for accepting :) and I agree with you, he was definitely being a bully (he was a wannabe cop so not a shock). I'm not sure that his pursuit of Trayvon was technically illegal, though it might be. I also think you're right that he should be in jail for manslaughter. They just tried him for the wrong thing. Second degree murder is difficult to prove....
