okay, I havent spoken with you in a while. so I have another question.
My character is graduating and she is valedictorian. and I dont know when she makes her speech. Is it when she is called to accept her diploma or is it after everyone has thier diplomas?
if you dont know thats okay...

no problem. I would recommend making your character older, atleast 7th grade, but ninth would be better probably. And seeing as you are in 9th or 10th grade, you'll relate to the character better etc.

I think she'll be a seventh grader... since I've made references about having one teacher and a playground at her old school... but seventh grade is junior high... shoot...

I'm actually a day student so I can tell you all about that. Well monday, it's math, 21st, science, cookie break, socials, french. but then tuesday it's english, math, 21st, cookie break, science socials. and it keeps rotating like that. ish... close enough. we have a one hour sleep in on wednesdays. so we only have four classes on wednesdays. So I sleep at home, but I'm allowed to sleep at school. I have a day student area that I share with three other girls. We have mini fridge, it's pretty sick. Day students sign in at reception before classes start, and we don't have to sign in at any other part of the day. Unless we stay for prep, which for day students, is not mandatory.

Our school is for grades 9-12, we have both boys and girls. Everybody is put in a house, where they live. There are 4 boys houses and 4 girls houses, each house has a sister/brother girl or boy house. So say I'm in Alex house, alex house's brother house is Whittall, so my brother and cousins who are male are in whittall. here is the website, I love my school. www.brentwood.bc.ca Also, I live in Canda btw.

On arts afternoons, there are 4 art blocks. starting at 2pm, then last block ends at 6pm. Most people have 2 art blocks. I have three. I do Musical Theatre, concert choir and rock band. On sports afternoons, it depends on what sport you do what time you do your sport. I am currently in recreational rowing, it starts at 3:15pm and goes until 4:40. Dinner is at 5:30pm breakfast is 7:15am. You have to sign in at the caf. at breakfast and dinner. And then you sign in for prep at 7:15pm. prep is 730 to 930. bedtime for grade nines is 945

I had trouble with the chat, but I'll reply here. I have 5 classes a day, starting at 8:15. So three classes, then at 11 we have cookie break and we switch our books. Then we have the last two classes and then lunch at 1:15. my classes are math, 21st century studies (globalization) science, socials, french and English. Next year, I may take AP classes, as they are available and they count for university credits. After lunch we have arts on monday, wednesday and friday. and sports on tuesday thursday and saturday. yes, I have school on saturday. My unifor m is a white blouse, a plaid kilt, black knee high socks and black flats. on thursday and saturdays we wear number one uniforms, so we have to wear blazers and ties. I'll answer more in a sec, I'm in class lol.
reply

BudIsCute · 1 decade ago
oh wow, thanks so much for the detail, you've really helped. I got the uniform correct before i read this, and i am pretty proud of myself for getting the class schedule basically right. I just need to fit in somewhere that the schedule changes... now I put in that my character lives at home... Do you have dorms? and do you know if some of the private schools don't have dorms? i want my story to be very realistic even though the chick has super powers....
