   ...But maybe "desire at first sight" is a better comparison to the thunder and lightning I felt in my chest.

   My own methamphetamine, shot up in my blood stream. Instant addict.
   The way he looked at me... Oh god, I've never felt so vulnerable.
   My parents warned me about his type; warned me that, "people like him are toxic."
   They say opposites attract... I was ice, He was on fire. I was indie, He was rock-n-roll.
   I was caution, He was danger. --Fallen angel, the devil himself.
   I suppose his chaos was the cure for my insanity and emptiness...
   But just like all chaotic, toxic, harmful things ...they always crash and burn.

   I feel as if telling you "I love you" is a cliche.
   Although, I want you to know, that without you, the stars would look pitiful.
   Driving at 3 A.M. would be so lonesome without your hand in mine, songs wouldn't make sense.
   If you weren't around, bodies of water would haunt me... For they would remind me of your eyes.
   My bed would be as cold and empty as my heart if you were away.
   Maybe saying "I adore you" is better? That can't be right.
   I suppose all of this is a cliche... Therefore, my love for you is a cliche at it's finest.

   Habits
   "Drink a little more," my stomach tells me.
   So empty inside, the warm alcohol sliding down
   my throat seems to fill me up for awhile.
   "Smoke a little more," my lips tell me.
   So anxious inside, the hot smoke curling around
   my mouth seems to make the edge go away.
   I am not an alcoholic... I am not a smoker...
   I may just be in love with the idea of the two.
