today I am fourteen.
I don't want favourites, or comments.
What I want for my birthday, is for each every one of you witty girls/guys to genuinely feel beautiful.
Today, when you have a moment to spare, I want you to go to a mirror. I want you to tell yourself outloud, that you ARE good enough. That you ARE unique. That your ARE beautiful.
Today for my birthday, I want you to feel good about yourself.
I want you to love yourself for once. There's no shame in that. However, there is shame in hiding your beautiful soul from the world, because of that little voice inside your head that keeps nagging at you. The little voice that nibbles on your self-esteem everyday. The same damn voice that tells you to believe what the bullies are telling you.
You know what makes today extra special? It's the fact that you are going to stand up to that little voice. You are going to forget about that voice for today. Do it for me, but also for you. Do it for those who never had the chance, or the strength to do so.
You are so lucky to be alive, because you have the privelege of using the words "One day I'd like to be..."
The beauty of the whole situation is you get to choose what you are one day. If you want to be a doctor, great. If you want to be a fireman, great. If you want to be a nurse, a waiter, a waitress, a bartender, a party planner, whatever you WANT to be.... FANTASTIC.
Your life, your choices.
But just for today, please...Just feel beautiful.

You think a QUOTE will discourage people from believing what they want? Posting a video makes more people aware of this campaign.
People that have connections can shoot this matter into global perspective.
By blogging about it, someone can see it and join the thousands that support this campaign.
Advertising is one of the only ways that the necessary support can be reached for the soldiers to stay in Africa and help.
I'm sick and tired of people thinking that if they make themselves loud and puff themselves up, then they can persuade others to stop trying to help.
Let people help if they want to.
Perhaps they aren't the ones who need to 'shut up'...

Your rudeness about the whole situation intrigues me. Would you like to go live in Central Africa and be snatched from your family? Would you want to be forced to kill, or be used for others' pleasure?

I think it's pathetic when girls gossip behind another one's back just because they are going out with their crush. BACK OFF!!! What if this girl actually makes your crush happy?What if he sees qualities in her that he DOES NOT SEE IN YOU? Well guess what. It happens. I have liked you for almost 3 years now. I like love you...I stare at you in the classes that we are in together. I notice the things that you do ( you hide your laugh when you think laughed weirdly, you smile at the sweet things that Andrew does...).
I don't know if you know how I feel. I thought I got over you... huh, turns out I didn't quite succeed. Boy, I will never tell you all this, but I do think that it is important that you know how I feel about you. Too bad we live in society. Where people get rejected, rumors spread, and people get made fun of. Yeah I have had enough of that, thanks.
