chapter eleven
The next morning he woke me up. “Come on it`s time for school.” Sean said. “No. I`m not going.” I
said. “Alright, well I`ll come over after school.” He said. He went out the window. I fell back asleep
and an hour later my aunt came upstairs. “Sarah, it turns out your parents were not in a car accident.
They were murdered.” She said. “Are you serious?” I said in shock. “Unfortunately.” She answered.
She left the room and went downstairs. Someone knocked at my window. I expected it to be Sean. It
wasn`t “Tyler?” I asked. “Yeah, let me in.” he said. I opened the window, still crying and let him in.
“What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be at school?” I said. “Yeah you`re right, I probably should.
But I`m not.” He said. “Where`s Sean?” he asked. “School, and I think he has work after school.” I
said. “Oh, well are you okay?” he asked. “No, I`m not okay.” I said. I could tell he didn’t know what to
say. “But don’t worry about it.” I said. “Of course I`m worrying about it, I mean, come on, do you really
think that low of me?” he asked sounding hurt. “No of course I don’t, but you don’t really seem like
the type to…I don’t know, never mind.” I said. “To what Sarah, to feel? Yeah, I get that a lot.” He said.
“No, Tyler, that isn’t what I was going to say.” I lied. It was true. Tyler`s not really the type to care
about anyone but himself. His phone rang. “Oh sh*t.” he said. “Hello?” “Oh yeah, uhm sorry my
phone broke I just got a new one.” “Friday? Uhm I think I have work sorry.” “Alright, bye.” He hung up.
“you don’t have work Friday, do you?” I asked. “Nope.” He said. “Why`d you lie to her?” I asked.
“She`s too clingy.” He admitted. Woah, what an a**hole. I suddenly just realized how attracted to
Tyler I was.
