I'm from New York and Lake Erie is perfect for rowing! Rowing isn't really good in the ocean because it's too wavy

You should! It really gives you something to focus on, like a real goal in life. You feel like you have a purpose on a team and they need you. You really get close with your team because you spend SO much time together. It's really a great experience

Isn't it?! Actually the machines are a better work out than being on the water even. If you row for 1,000 meters and keep you're split time under 1:12 (the big number in the middle) and then row at a steady pace for an hour and repeat every day it gets you in such good shape! You should try it on water sometime if you ever get the chance :) its so relaxing!

Not really. Usually I don't eat that much unless it's before a big race. Usually I only get to like 3,000 or 2,500 and then I lose weight and it's not good

Not more than the rest of the crew team because I can't go over 130lbs or else I would be able to be a lightweight anymore, but I need to eat more protein to develop muscle strength and more whole carbs (like whole wheat bread and apples) than the average person so I don't throw up in practice which means I should probably eat around 4,000 calories in a day because I burn 2,000 a practice and 2,000 just by walking around and going about my daily activities.

Food makes people look healthier :) and I like doing all that work. It's how I relieve stress at the end of a long day at school. Plus I need to make sure I'm as fit as possible for the regattas. I need to be as in shape as everyone in my boat so I'm not the weak link. If anything I want to be one of the better ones

It was good! Except I didn't eat anything because I hate thanksgiving food and today at crew there was a really intense workout. According to the machine I burned 1,290 calories in a half hour. Now I'm losing too much weight and then my skin turns a yellowish color and I pass out easily if I don't have enough water. And my face starts to sink in. My doctor said I might have to quite crew and that would suck.
