you honestly don't know how much i'm going to miss those texts that kept me up late at night,

I didn't plan on falling in love with you,
and I doubt if you planned on falling in love with me. But once we met, it was clear that neither of us could control what was happening to us. We fell in love, despite our differences, and once we did, something rare and beautiful was created. she tries her hardest not to stare
because she knows he doesn't care
she has never been remotely cool
he's in the popular group at school
she's otherwise happy with her life
he struggles to keep on living a lie
she caught him staring, many times
he looked away, a sparkle in his eyes
she got the confidence to ask him out
the guys laughed, he turned her down
she was crushed, finding it hard let it go
but he had a secret he let nobody know
something about her made him shy
a pretty smile & eyes as blue as the sky
& she says he'll never cross her mind
but he's in her dreams every night
she's the last person he'd want to hurt
looking back he'd say yes to that girl.
she waits silently, still no word from him
his eyes say it all but he speaks nothing
her feelings fade slowly until they're gone
he knows she's forgetting and moving on
she'll never waste a thought on him again
now he's crushed like she was back then.
