As an American citizen, I am allowed to express my thoughts, as long as they are not threatening or intentionally hurtful, as they are not. You are entitled to your opinion as well. Although I may not agree with them, I won’t tell you to go jump off a bridge, just because you dislike One Direction. I won’t egg your house because your taste buds you were born with reject the taste of Nutella. If you disagree with my thoughts on American laws, I won’t write 50,000 comments on your profile hating on your opinion. I’m not going to clutter your yard with Obama campaign signs if you're a Republican.. So please explain to me why it’s okay for you to judge me based on my opinions? We all have them, and everyone should learn to respect them.

No, I’m not fat; in fact, I’m very skinny. But calling someone “fat” are not the only hurtful words a girl can hear. My friends are gorgeous and have beautiful curvy figures, while I barely have any hips to show off. It never bothered me until people started to point it out. At first, I took the “you’re so skinny!” comments as a compliment. But then, I began to become more insecure about it. I’d wish to be more shapely and I prayed for the curves to appear magically. That was when I realized that calling someone skinny can be just as hurtful as calling them fat. It took me years to be okay with my tiny figure, and even now, I get very insecure about lots of factors of my body. But I’ve realized it’s part of who I am and I have begun to accept it. But when people told me they think I’m anorexic (a huge lie) or that I’m “too skinny” it hurt me. I’m not trying to complain; I’m trying to make my fellow Wittians aware. You need to start watching what you say because you don’t know how someone may react to it. Even so, I easily pretended like I was okay with the comments, when in reality, they were eating me alive. Please, think about what you’re saying before you say it. Calling someone “skinny” isn’t always taken as a compliment.
Just felt like I had to post this. I’m not alone.

You were once my best friend, but not anymore.

you can see what they once denied and the things they had implied if you look into
their eyes. you learn how it hurts them to say goodbye, and how much one might
rely on some certain supplies. one might be surprised if they learned of
another’s surmise, or all of one’s “wonder whys”. but one thing
always applies to every person’s lives; your eyes cannot
be a disguise for all your evil little lies.
