*Chapter Two*
My mom walked in about 15 minutes later, and apparently she's been here for a while, she was just getting food in the cafeteria. "Oh, hunny! I brought you some food from the cafeteria, are you hungry?" I shook my head. My mother sighed. The doctor began going through my list of injuries. "Well, she has a large bump on her head, and a concussion. I dont think she should be back in school tomorrow, so you can leave her here for the night," Said the doctor. I sighed. "Do you know why I fainted? It was pretty random," asked Arianna. "Oh, that could be anything, but it was most likely from lack of hydration." I licked my lips, and realized how thirsty I was.
"Mom, could you get me a water bottle?" My mother shot up and walked towards the door immediately. So, it was just me and Arianna. "So Ari," I began. "What happend after I passed out?" Ari smirked. "Well, everyone was already paying you attention before, and now you're probably the star of the school," she started. "So, Zander was standing in front of you when you fainted and hit the floor, and you banged your head up pretty bad. Zander and I called the nurse, and she came with a wheelchair and wheeled you into the office. When she saw how unconscious you were, she called the cops, and an ambulance took you away. I ditched and drove over, and Zander told me..." she paused, long enough to put a wide grin on her face. "He told me he'd be here when school's over!" She shrieked. I just smiled and waited.

My mom had to leave around 1 in the afternoon, because she was late for work as it is, and she had to get my sister, Katie, off the bus. Ari stayed with me, though. At around 3:30, someone knocked on the door. Arianna's face lit up, and she winked at me. In came Zander, casually. He smiled a warm smile at me, and it made my heart melt. "Hi, Casey," He said. "Hey," I croaked. "You okay?" He asked. "um, I'm a bit better I guess," I said with a smile. We made casual small talk for a bit, until Ari had to go. "I'll be back later..." She said slowly. "Bye babe!" She flashed me a smile and then walked towards the door. Me and Zander were alone.

Hit Me Hard
*Chapter One*
I walked into the building hesitantly, as if something were about to happen. The building seemed... odd. The air was heavy, and it felt deserted, despite the tons of childeren lining the halls. Talking, gossiping, kissing, so much was going on, yet my mind still drowned out the noises around me. I felt a headache coming on, and I just started considering the fact that I might faint. Ari was by my side, how hasn't she noticed my condition?
Just then, I felt someone tap my shoulder. "Are you okay?" Asked an unfamiliar voice. I tried talking, but my tounge was frozen. I squeezed my eyes shut and cupped my hands to my face. The last thing I heard was Arianna scream "Casey!" before the world went black.

"Casey?" Asked a gentle voice. My eyes fluttered open when I felt a light touch on my arm. "Oh, good, she's awake!" Said Arianna. The doctor in front of me had soft eyes, and he looked nice enough. I tried talking, then noticed the searing pain coming from the back of my head. "Oh..." I said, as I touched the large lump on the back of my head. I winced at my own touch. "Ow," I said. The doctor laughed lightly. "Do you remember anything that happened?" Asked the doctor.
I thought long and hard, and decided that I did remember some details. "Well... Me and Arianna just got out of her car, and we walked into the school building." The doctor smiled and scribbled something into a notebook. I continued in a slurred voice. "Then... we were walking, down the hallway, and I felt... funny." The doctor nodded in approval, then gestured for me to continue. "The air was... hot, kind of, and I felt sort of... foggy. I was wondering why no one noticed my condition, because I was positive that I didn't look right. And then someone did. I'm not sure who, though, because before I could look..." The doctor cut in. "Before you could look, you passed out. I see." I nodded.
Just then, Arianna chimed in, to fill in the blanks. "Well, once you passed out, I called the nurse and she called the ambulance, and they took you here." I looked around, and suddenly became fully aware that I was in a hospital. There was a wide grin on her face. "And, Case, it was Zander that asked if you were okay." My eyes widened. Zander... he was gorgeous, ideal person. On the football team, and he was sweet too. All the girls crooned over him. Ari giggled. "Guess you have more attention then you know," Ari said with a wink. "You go girl!"

Hit Me Hard
**Introduction**
I woke up, looked in the mirror and smiled. It hasn't always been this way, I wasn't always pretty.
I thought back to a time before I had friends, before I had a life, then pushed the thoughts aside.
I combed back my perfect, thick auburn hair, and applied a thick coat of mascara to my upper lashes.
I applied a thin line of black eyeliner to my bottom waterline, and got dressed quickly. After I'd brushed my teeth, I heard a knock at the door. "Case?" I heard my best friend, Arianna, call out.
"Coming!" I screamed back.
I quickly grabbed an apple off the counter, and rushed outside.
Ari whistled when I stepped in her car.
"Look at you, gorgeous as ever," she said, with an approving nod.
"Not so bad yourself," I said with a wink, and we laughed and started on our drive to school.
School.
I never thought so much could happen in such a small building...

Deep Inside.
Chapter 19
My eyes widened, and I carved frantically into the ground.
I started off with one simple word: "help." I was about to write more, but I guess Nick had his own idea. He got off his bed and swung his door shut behind him, as he left the room. I tried telling him to wait, to stop. I knew something bad was going to happen. Nick was on the move, and I could still see him through the stars. He walked straight to his car, grabbed his keys and started it up. He got straight in, without thinking anything of it. I refused to look. Out of a clearing, came a devilish creature. I didn't notice it sneak up behind me, but it grabbed the back of my head and forcefully turned me to look at the stars. "Stop!" I cried. "No!"
I tried resisting as best as I could, but the creature was just too strong for me.
I got a glance at the sign across it, just before I could grasp what was happening in the stars before me. The sign said "loss."
I could see only glimpse of the next part, and thats all I needed. I saw a red light, a speeding car, and then I heard a loud crash. Everything got dark for five minutes, and I thought it was over. Before I could even start to cry, the stars morphed back into a screen, and planted a picture in my head that I will never unsee. Nick, my best friend, the one i love, sprawled across the road in a pool of blood. Sirens made loud noises in the background, and then in an instant, paramedics were carrying Nick onto a stretcher. I shuddered, and tears became pouring out. I turned towards the devilish creature.
"You did this!" I screamed. It just stood there.
It made a loud hissing sound before it vanished.
I wasn't about to go after it, so I sat on the soft grass.
I sat, and awaited my next form of torture.

Chapter 18
It was Nick.
"Nick!" I screamed. "No!"
As if on cue, Nick's star formed head started to talk to me. "I loved you, Anna!" He yelled. I was speechless. "But look what you do to me! You dissapear! How can you do this!?" He cried. My eyes widened. I tried to talk, but I couldn't. I literally couldnt. My voice was lost, almost as if I had forgotten how to speak. Instead, I let tear drops fall from my eyes.
As soon as they reached my cheeks, something extraordinary happened. They froze over. I picked at a ffew cold, hardened teardrops that stuck to my cheeks, and forced myself to stop. Nick's head kept talking. "How, Anna? Why?" He would say. I thought things couldnt get any stranger, but then the stars mored together, in a ball. Right before my eyes, a flash of reality struck before me. It was Nick, in his room, lying on his bed.
Was... was that a rope next to him?
Almost like he heard me, he sprung up, grabbed his desk chair, and the rope. I knew where this was about to go. Tears were coming uncontrollably, but they just kept freezing on my face.
He stopped walking, and took a deep breath. So did I.
He went back to his bed, and faced me. I knew he couldn't see me though.
"I know you're there, Anna." he said. "I can feel it."
My eyes widened. He figured it out!
"We have to find a way to talk, though... where did you go?"
subconciously, I picked up a stick, and started carving into the grass beneath me.
I drew a heart, with A + N in the middle.
There was a loud screeching, and the same drawing I drew carved into Nick's wall.
"You did it!" He screamed, ecstatically.

Chapter 18
When I woke up, the figure was standing on top of me, a branch in his hand, ready to swing.
He... he didn't hit me?
I looked almost like the scene had paused. I acted quickly, kicked him, and took the branch from his hands quickly. "Wait!" I screamed. But I couldn't keep him off of me. He only got angrier. He ripped my pants and thong off, and did this same to his pants & boxers. I just layed there as it happened. I couldn't do anything about it.

It was over, not soon enough though. He got up and threw a dirty condom at me. This was the condom that took my virginity. I screamed loudly, but I knew exactly where we were. No one would hear me. I got up and ran. I let my instincts decide where I was going. I ended up in a clearing, with one big rock, many bushes, and many trees. I threw up.
My rib cage was burning, my head hurt, my stomach was growling, and my legs felt numb.
I was cold.
I sat on the rock, with my head in my hands, and sobbed.
How could this happen to me? This isn't possible, It's a dream. Of course.
I took a deep breath, and looked up to the sky. It was filled with stars.
They were gorgeous.
I laid down on the soft green grass beneath me, and stared at the stars. My eyes widened, when I realized what was happening. The stars were swirling. Not swirling, moving.
"No!" I cried, awaiting what was coming next.
The stars formed into a face. A face I could pull out of any crowed, a face that I loved.
"I know where I am," I whispered to myself.
"I'm in my story."

Chapter 17
I wad falling, and falling, and falling, and finally i landed.
I had no idea where I was when i landed, allI know is that it wasn't any place i've been before. I was lost in thought, but when i looked up, I noticed I wasnt alone. Someone was holding my hand. I tried to scream, but I couldnt make sound. I looked at the figure holding me, but whenever I looked at him, he looked away. We walked hand in hand, in a gorgeous meadow, surrounded by flowers of all colors.
I took a deep breath, and opened my mouth.
"Hello," I said calmly and sweetly.
"Hey," said the voice. He still wouldn't look at me.
"Where are we?" I asked.
"You should know." Said the man.
My eyes flashed up, to look at him. He was still looking away. I tried to take my hand from his, but his grip tightened.
"Let go!" I screamed.
The figure finally looked at me, and he looked so fimiliar. He was so... gorgeous!
He grinned evily.
"I can't, I have plans for you..."
I was about to question him, until we got to an intersection. There were two paths, both leading into a forest. He dragged me on, into the left entrance.
"Where are we going?" I whispered.
He pushed me into the dark forest, and onto the ground. He removed my clothes, and began to remove his.
"No! Stop!" I cried.
Another evil grin, and he grabbed a branch, and swung it at my head.
It went black, as I heard a strong laugh.

Chapter 16
After Nick left, I decided to go see Kaylee.
she had to know what was going on.
I brushed out my hair, reapplied my makeup, threw on jeans and some tank, and left. I took the bus to the hospital, since no one could drive me. I went straight up to Kay's room, not expecting what would come next.
I walked up to Kaylee's room, like I usually do, and it was empty. Tears immediately built up inside me. I didn't have to ask to know where my best friend, since i was practically born, had gone.
I ran out of the hospital, as far as i could go. I didn't stop. I ran and ran, for miles, despite the burning in my legs. I was somewhere very far away from my house, when I finally sat down and bawled. I looked at my phone and called Matt. He picked up.
"Anna?"
"when!" I cried into the phone.
I could hear sobs in the background.
"Last night," He whispered.
I hung up.
I had no idea where I was, but I got up and kept walking until I was in bloomington, the next town over.
Still crying, I called Nick.
"Come get me!" I choked out.
"Where are you?"
"Bloomington," I whispered.
He hung up.

When I woke up, I was at home. Nick drove me, I think. It didn't matter. My best friend is dead.
I grabbed a razor, and slid it angrily across my wrists. The last thing I saw was a red splash of blood across my carpet, and then everything went black.
I was falling.

Deep Inside.
Chapter 11
We got to the food store, bought the cupcake batter, and went back to the house to bake. We ate our cupcakes, and then watched a movie. I checked my phone.
5 missed calls from mom.
2 missed calls from jake.
3 texts from jake.
1 text from Kloé.
2 texts from Gianna.
I sighed. I opened up all the texts.
Gianna: Hey.
Gianna: Text me, want plans?
Me: With Nick, sorry.
Gianna: Get some(;
i laughed. Kloé just said "hey," and i decided to ignore it. I was debating whether or not to open Jakes, and i decided to do it.
Jake: Anna please
Jake: I'm really sorry
Jake: I don't even like her!
Me: I'm coming over tomorrow at 2. We'll talk then. Don't text me.
I tossed my phone aside on the couch, and turned back to Nick, who was happily eating a cupcake.
"Good cupcake," He said.
"I know, right?" I picked one up and began eating. He picked up another cupcake, and wiped the frosting across my face. I laughed.
"You douche!" I smeared some across his forehead. We had a war going, we were both laughing and smearing eachother's faces. He leaned in and kissed me first. I didn't even notice, until we were both desperate for air. I bit my lip when he looked at me.
"Sorry," He muttered.
"It's okay..." I said back.
"sh*t, no, i didn't-"
I laughed.
"It's fine, Nick." I wiped some frosting off his face. It was about 10:30 now.
"Can i borrow some clothes?" I asked.
"Sure, hold on."
He went upstairs, and I immediately picked up my phone and texted Gianna.
Me: We kissed!
Gianna: WHAT!?
Me: He kissed me, and it was...
Gianna: Damn Anna
Me: Amazing.
I threw my phone away when i heard his footsteps coming back down the stairs, with a long shirt in his hands.
I went upstairs, washed my face, and got changed into the shirt and a pair of sweats i found in my bag.
I went back downstairs, we rented another movie, and I fell asleep on his arm at around 11:30.

Chapter 8
I knocked on Kay's door, with Gianna and Nick following behind me. My eyes were still a bit heavy from all the crying, but for the most part, i guess i looked okay.
"Hey babes," I said.
Kaylee was writing in some notebook, but she tossed it aside when she saw us. Her face lit up.
"Hey guys! Nick! I haven't seen you in forever! I miss you!' She cheered.
Nick laughed.
"Hey Kaylee!" Gianna said.
"Hey beautiful," Said Kaylee. They laughed and chatted, while i sat on the couch flipping through the channels.
"And how about you, Anna?" I heard Kaylee ask.
"Hmm?" I said.
"How are things with you going?"
I bit my lip.
"Umm, well, me and Jake broke up..."
"Oh. My. God. When!? why!?" She said.
I sighed.
"He cheated on me," I said.
Her face looked angered.
"With who?" She said, her voice low.
"Trisha Coyen," I answered.
"I've never liked her," She said.
I laughed.
"Oh, I know kaylee."
She laughed along.
"So how long are you guys staying?"
"Well we were all going to sleep over, if thats okay-"
"Yes!" She was beaming.
Nick finally spoke up. I hadn't realized he was right behind me until now.
"Kay, hows the food?"
She giggled.
"As good as hospital food can get, i guess."
He sighed.
"Anyone want anything? I'm starving."
Gianna asked for a salad, and Kaylee asked for ice cream.
I didn't want anything.
"Okay, I'll be right back." With that, he left.
When he was out of earshot, Kaylee spoke up.
"Am I the only one who noticed how freaking cute he is?!" She beamed.
"Nope," I said.
"He is cute," Said Gianna, nodding her head.
We all laughed.
When Nick got back, we all ate our food and chatted about our lives.

When i opened my eyes, I was on the hospital couch on Nick's chest, with his arms around me.
I realized he was awake too.
"Nick," I whispered, not wanting to wake up the Kaylee and Gianna.
"Mhm?" He whispered back.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"Like 9:30-ish, i guess?"
"When did you wake up?" I asked.
"nine," He answered.
"you should've woken me up," I said sleepily.
"But i like watching you sleep," He said.
I sat up, and checked my phone.
5 texts from Jake and 1 missed call.
I sighed, and turned back to Nick.
"we should get food," I said, standing up quietly.
"Lets go," He said.
He took my hand and we walked to the cafeteria.
