Day 5
Dear Diary,
Jenna and Sarah went to the soccer fields and kicked the ball around. Actually, they did more than that. They shouted and talked to themselves too. They talked mostly about me and their frustrations. I would say more, but I need to continue on with my story. Like I said, I was standing in my dad's office doorway. He heard me and turned around in his chair like those supervillians in the movies. I guessed he realized that too because the first thing he said was, "I guess you are wondering why I brought you all here," like the cool and goofy dad he was. We all started laughing really hard. When our hysterics died down, he got serious again. "Do you need something?" he asked. "Yeah," I said, "can I go to a party at Sam Frasier's house tonight? It is a Friday after all." " I don't know," he said with a nervous kind of twitch, "I thought you said that you were going to cook dinner tonight?" "I already asked Mom and she said she would." I hadn't really asked her, but I was sure she would agree. "Well...I guess, but I'm really not comfortable with this." I was shocked. I was sure he would say yes right away. That he would even offer to drive us! He had been acting very strange for a while and now I look back and wonder why I did't notice it earlier.

Day 4
Dear Diary,
Hi again. I am at Jennie's Diner. I see Jenna and Sarah sitting at our table in their soccer uniforms. If someone who didn't know our schedule came here and saw them they wouldn't think anything was wrong. They wouldn't have noticed, at that table in the back, the empty chair. I'm proud of my friends, though. I am proud that they keep going on een though I'm not there with them. They try to think what could hae happened to me on that so called 'perfect night. They can't figure it out so I guess I must continue telling the story to you. We were at the diner and Jenna and I eventually agreed to go to Sam's so called 'awesome' party. Of course we all had to ask our parents first because we were all new to this party thing. Jenna and Sarah's parents said yes. Next, I headed to my house to ask my 'super cool' dad if I could go. We all knew he would say yes, and that he would probably even offer to drive us. I walked up to the front door because I was with my friends and knocked because it was sure to be locked. My five year old sister answered the door. She is convinced that she is extremely grown up and can do everything by herselft. "Caris!" she screamed like she hadn't seen me in months. "Hi Katie," I said and walked inside, my friends right behind me. I walked straight to my dad's office and stood by the door. I'll tell you the rest later, Jenna and Sarah are leaving the diner. I wonder where they're going?

Everyone tells you that you should be patient and wait for the perfect boy that will steal your heart. But guess what, I've been pretty patient and I have realized that there is no perfect guy. They are mostly all jerks. I really hope that someday someone will prove me wrong.

My Dead Diary
Day 3
Dear Diary,
Right now I am at my old school. Walking down the hallways, watching my friends work, I keep staring at that empty desk in every single one of my old classes. I don't think people have gotten over what happened yet. I go by the police station everyday and watch their progress. Every time they get a lead they lose it. They can't make any sense of it, but I can. I can remember every detail. It was confusing, yes, but I do know who killed me and I plan on making them realize that. Back to my story. We were at Jennie's Diner, like usual, we were talking. We had always had our deepest conversations there. After school, at the back of the table with our milkshakes and french fries. Usually the conversations were about boys, school, and new gossip. That day I don't quite remember what we talked about. All I remember is that it was a Friday night and Sarah wanted to go do something. "There's going to be a party at Sam's house! We should go!" and that's all it took for my life to start spinning out of control.

Are you okay?
No, I am lonely as heck. I need someone to love me, someone to care. I hate faking a smile and saying that I'm fine. I feel left out and no one sees me as who I really am. I need someone to love me. I need you to love me, but you never will so I guess I will just get over it. I'm sure I never will, though. I love you.

Dear Diary,
This is my second day being what I call a ghost. At least, I think so. I felt like I was in darkness for a while. It looks like I have only been gone a day from my old town. I wouldn't know. I could just be watching what happened after I...you know. I guess that I should start writing about my story now. I'm that's why I'm here. Yesterday, or whenever I...passed away, was just a normal day for a teenage girl. I went to school, had soccer practice, and then went to Jennie's Diner, the restaurant across the street, with my best friends Jenna and Sarah. The restaurant was owned by Jenna's father. He was nice, but of course, not as cool as my dad was. Yes, I was the girl with the cool dad who was never embarrassing, never missed a soccer game, and always took the team out for ice cream after a win. And now I see him greeting the people who come to our door to express condolonces. Little do they know how I really died. Most people don't actually, but that is a story for a later date.

Dear Diary,
Hi There. This isn't as much of a diary as it is my record of the Afterlife. Yes, I'm dead. I ws murdured. I was fourteen and living a happy life. Why? you ask. Like I wanted this, like I knew what was happening. Well I didn't and that is probably why I am here. Not really dead, not at all alive. Most people would call me a ghost, but I think it is more than that. I just walk here, through the streets, watching my siblings listen to what happened, watching my mom cry for hours in her room. I am in my own town. I guess now I have all of eternity to record what really happened the night of my death.
