Okay, that makes sense. If my quote is something that you think Google wouldn't like on a page they advertise about, I can take it down. Like I said, I am extremely proud of where I've been and how far I came, I just wanted to share it. reply

I think your quote is ok. It's the empty, trivial quotes ("I just cut again") about suicide and cutting that lead to the creation of that specific filter. reply

Hi Steve, I was curious why the word "suicide" isn't allowed in the main stream. I added a quote about my story and how I was ready for death, but it wouldn't show up on the newest quote because I used the word "suicide". I am actually very proud of everything I have been through, and want to share it with people. I apologize for this, because I know it is breaking the rules, but I actually changed the "i" in suicide to a "í". Like I said, I'm proud of my story, and I am so happy and proud to be alive after everything I've been through, I just wanted to share it.

A while back, I was contacted by Google who provides the ads on Witty. It turned out Witty was violating the rules of the ad serving agreement because some of the quotes contained inappropriate language (swearing, etc) and or inappropriate themes (adult themes, etc). Some words like "suicide", "cutting", and "self harm" were included in a long list of "bad words". The bottom line is Witty can't display ads next to quotes that contain this stuff. It's still possible to submit, view, and comment on quotes with these words, but they can't be displayed in the main lists of quotes because ads are on those pages. reply

Why is the word "scoóby" considered a "bad word"? I tried adding a quote about Scoóby-Doo and I was told that it was a bad word.
