Okay wow hey so I'm a total piece of $hit for not finding a way to tell you this sooner but the Kik app on my phone got completely f//cked which is why I never kik either you or Brianna anymore (terrible, I know,) and I had to delete the app from my phone and lost the login info. (I'm sure it's somewhere but I have no access to it as of recent.) But after that I felt like a terrible person for never telling either of you so I kept putting it off, and it's been months and I'm a horrible person and I know I could've used Witty or even Tumblr but I didn't because I am a little $hit, but even that's no excuse so I just wanted to say sorry for all of that and dropping off the face of the Earth unexpectedly and that I miss you two. You don't have to forgive me or anything but I figured I had to give some sort of explanation at one point or another, so. (Also it's Anna as in annaisaninja77 or EastJesusNowhere [or whatever my kik username was] if you hadn't realized by now.) reply

It's an awesome feeling,
though in my case I finally saw my best friend's picture for the first time in 1 and a half years..

I remember when the quoted would have 1000-2000 faves, like the "top this week/month" would have 3000 sometimes but even then there was still so much drama and about 1/8 ofthe quotes were original, and ppeople then posted little diary update things to, noone would notice them bc they'd never get faves but still reply

To be honest, I don't think quotes are the problem. Many people have just left Witty, and we haven't been getting many new people. I remember when I joined Witty, a top quote would have 600-700 faves. And when you think about it, less than 100 people on Witty are active anymore. reply

I'm guilty of using this website as a means of getting advice, I'll admit it, but that's not what it's meant for.
This is a place for QUOTES.
Every time someone comments on a vent or opinion someone posts with "Witty is a place to express yourself and post whatever you want" I get SO mad because no. That's not true. That's not what this is.

yeah i remember first joining and 100 faves was barely anything and all the top quotes were original and had around 1000-2000 faves. i know it's not against the rules but it still annoys me a lot when people get those funny text post things from tumblr. like some are really funny and i fave them anyway but most of them i look at with a straight face cause i've already seen them 3 times on my dashboard and it's just gotten to the point where it's dumb when i see it on here. and being that they usually get the most faves/top quotes i feel like alot of people only post the tumblr quotes for faves only. as steve said himself--"Witty is not about fake internet points." i used to steal from text posts a lot myself but then i realized how dumb it was to do it. i'd rather get a top quote from my own joke rather than someone else's, because it's proving the original poster is funny, not you. once again i know it isn't against the rules but this is just how i feel and it p.isses me off reply

I totally agree. Right now, getting 200 likes is a big deal. Before, though, that was nothing. I think people think the only way to get a top quote is to take one from other websites because they think that we don't go on there or something.. It feels like no one has any needs to like a quote reply
