(long but worth the read)
About 2 months ago,
a junior at my school and I started talking a little bit.
We only started talking because she confessed to everyone about being depressed, so I confessed to her that I was jealous of her. She told me that when she came back to school, she'd give me the biggest hug ever because I had flattered her so much.
She'd been out of school since October, and came back this Monday.
When I saw her, I thought she forgot about me, because I hadn't talked to her in 2 months. Today after school I was with my friends waiting for the advisor of a club to unlock to doors. This junior was there too. I saw her waiting too and heard her say "Guys! I am back!" and her friends went around her and welcomed her back. I was telling one of my friends how I thought she'd forgotten me. Still looking, I saw her look at me, smile, and wave. I waved back, hoping she wasn't waving to someone behind me.
Then she ran up to me and said "You're getting the biggest hug, just like I promised."
I hugged her back and replied "Oh, thank you!" Then my friend next to me said "See? She didn't forget who you are!"
Then she said "How could I ever forget about you?"
Haley, you give me hope. Thank you for not forgetting me when the rest of the world did ♥
