    Honestly...
Everyone is always complaining about how "ohh society sucks" but why? Because of the stereotypes? Yes, I agree. Stereotypes suck. But think about this. Where do the stereotypes come from? They had to have been true at some point. There had to have been enough true examples for it to become a stereotype. And enough peopl ehad to have noticed it. Those people, my friends, are you. And me. And everyone. So next time someone judges you, or anyone, don't blame society. We make society up. We ARE society. So instead of getting mad at "society," just dont judge.

    Right Behind You
    Chapter 10
    {Everything Has Changed ft. Ed Sheeran by Taylor Swift}
Nicole and I look at each other, eyes wide with shock. I guess I should clarify that it sounded like a small rock, not big enough to do any damage. "What was that...?" I whisper. There's no response. I walk slowly over to the window and open up the blinds. Peering cautiously out and down towards the ground, I see nothing. No one's there.
When I look up towards the house next door, I see a grinning brown-haired, green-eyed boy staring back at me. His window is open, and he motions for me to open mine. I turn to Nicole, who nods adamantly.
So I open it. Before he can say anything, I half-shout, "Is this your way of getting my attention, Damion?" And I hear a gasp behind me from my friend. She doesn't know him, and didn't know that I do.
"Well, I didn't get your number!" he yells. Now Nicole is making her way to the window next to me.
She whispers in my ear, "I'm gonna go talk to Aaron, I'll bring him up here in a minute. You have fun up here. I won't tell your mom."
I roll my eyes at her, but nod. To Damion, I respond, "Would you like it? It might make this easier."
He shakes his head. "I have a better idea." I wait while he turns and reaches for something. "Catch!" He throws something, hard enough that I step sideways to avoid being hit. Looking at it, I realize it's a notebook.
As I go over to pick it up, I hear him tell me to open it up. When I do, I notice a letter folded in half and taped to the front page. Underneath, it says, "If you need to taLk and damiOn is unaVailablE -- onlY Open in this sitUation." I look back to Damion. "What is it?" I ask. I'm not sure I understand.
"It's a letter. To reassure you, to comfort you. I mean if you need it, I'm here. But if I'm ever not, then read it. Just promise me something first." Oh no...
    "Depends on what it is."
"Nothing too huge. Just swear that you won't read it until you absolutely have to." He takes a deep breath. "I want to use the notebooks to write back and forth without opening our windows. But don't read that letter until it's time. Ok?"
"I like the idea of using the notebooks like that." Then I inquire, "But when will I know it's time?"
Another deep breath. What could be this nerveracking for him? "Just trust me. Can you do that?" I nod slowly. "You'll just know when it's time." And with that, he closes his blinds, leaving me to wonder what he meant.
I look at the writing under the letter, noticing some letters larger than others. He must've been really nervous while writing it if his hands were shaking this much. Oh well, I think and sigh.
I brush the thoughts out of my mind and head downstairs to meet Aaron. I'll find out what Damion meant another time.
Note: Okay guys. I know I'm behind. But I haven't really had time to post more than one chapter per day. :( So I think I'll stick to one, but I promise I will post them every day, and if I have more time I'll post more. Right Behind You
    Chapter 9
    {Oath by Cher Lloyd}
German class is the slowest class so far. I'm fluent in it already, and of course this leads me to be bored out of my mind. I sit next to the one person I know, Carson. We have a very nice conversation, but it seems very formal. Even so, it helps pass the time.
Oh, god. Now comes gym. I am not what is generally considered athletic. Naturally, gym has not been a favorite of mine. It's the first day, I tell myself. It won't be that bad. I'm wrong. We don't really do anything except get lockers assigned to us and go over the general rules. It was the lockers that ended up being an issue.
Heather is in my gym class, to begin with. Along with Carlie and her other friend, who I discover is named Nelly. Unfortunately, they are the only ones I recognize. I choose a locker in the far corner, assuming I can switch if I get to know more people. The three blondes have lockers close enough to shoot dirty looks at me and talk about me, but far enough away that I can't hear them. Oh well. I'll live.
One more hour. Another elective - band. I didn't take this last year, but I did in 6th and 7th grade. I play trumpet. Yes, I know, a girl trumpet player is not very common. Do I seem like I care? It feels great to play again, and I am quite relaxed by the end of class.
I head to my locker smiling. My mom picks me up in the minivan, and I'm not embarassed. Nothing could tear me down right now. We go to Caribou Coffee. I get the white chocolate hot cocoa, the best I have ever had. We sit down, and I tell her everything about today. Everyone I met; the good, the bad, the ugly.
"Well, guess who called about 20 minutes ago and asked to come over tonight?" My mind starts racing to figure it out, but she says it before I get the chance. "Nicole!"
I might've squealed. I'm that excited. Nicole is my best friend. We both moved schools this year, her to Delafield, me to Kenosha. I haven't seen her in... well, never mind, I saw her last weekend. But it feels like longer.
We rush home, and she is waiting on my front step with her mom and a guy I recognize, but don't know the name of. My car door is open even before the car has stopped moving. I run out and give her the biggest hug ever. "OH MY GOSH!!!" "I missed you so much!" "AHHH!" "How are you?" I'm honestly not sure who said what, but then we ran inside ahead of our parents and the guy standing there.
Up to my room, and closed the door. I look at her, and realize how much I really need to be around her. She brings the best out in me, and always has. We often get mixed up, and get comments that we look like sister. We really do, except that her hair has slightly more red in it than mine. Not only in out looks are we so similar, but in almost every way.
We talk for probably about a half hour, then I realize what I forgot to ask. "So, who's that strange guy that was sitting on my doorstep?" I ask with just the right amount of sarcasm in my voice.
"Who?" Nicole seems confused, but then says, "Ohh that's Aaron. My boyfriend."
"WHAaAaAT???" Yes, that is how I said that. Don't ask how. "Little Nicky has a guy? Last name. Now."
    "Nash."
"Nicole Nash. Has a nice ring to it."
That's when I heard the rock hit my window.
Note: Well, there you go. That's her best friend. And monse54, I mean every word. Imma die next year. Okay, so who threw the rock? Comment who you think! <3 ya guys!

    Chapter 7
Carly Rae Jepsen: Call Me Maybe
I slowly close my locker, processing the fact that I'm about to eat lunch with a bunch of high school guys. Jason comes up behind me and startles me. "Ready for lunch?" he says, and I jump.
"Umm, yea." Not convincing. At all. I sound about as confident as I feel.
"You still sitting by us?" Jason asks as we start walking towards the stairs. His face falls when he considers the alternative. "Or did you make any more friends?"
"Nope. Still a total loner in this school." I shrug. "And still sitting by you. No worries." He smiles. We walk the rest of the way to lunch in silence.
Once we get in line, I ask Jason for advice on food. "Well, are you a picky eater?" I shake my head. I'll eat (almost) anything. "Not at all?" I shake my head, this time harder. "Then pick anything. It's all pretty good."
Five minutes later, I'm walking towards Jason's table with a slice of pizza and a water bottle. Damion scoots over a little, allowing me to sit by him. So far, only two other guys are sitting at the table. They're both sitting across the table, and my two friends are on either side of me.
"Hey Maggie. Jason, have you seen Amy yet?" Damion keeps talking to Jason as I begin eating and zoning out. It takes a minute for me to realize what he said.
"Wait... Jason, you have a girlfriend?" I'm not as shocked as I probably sound, just unaware.
I can tell I'm, right on target when Jason grins and starts to turn a very bright shade of crimson. "Yeah. Amy Eckblad."
"Yes?" A very pretty girl with jet black hair appears behind Jason, lunchbox in hand. She kisses the top of his head and says, "I missed you." Would it be safe to assume that this is Amy?
"I missed you too, babe." Jason moves so that Amy is seated between us, then motions towards me. "Amy, Meg. Meg, Amy." he introduces, gesturing respectively. "Meg started here today."
"Hi Meg! Is that short for Margaret?" I nod. "That's cute. Hey, are these two - Jason and Damion - the only ones you've metso far?" I laugh and nod again. Amy shakes her head slowly, as if she feels sorry for me. "If you need anything - anything - or if you simply need to refill on estrogen," here she winks, her gray eyes sparkling, "text me."
She takes a pen from her lunchbox and writes her number on my left arm. When Jason beckons for the pen, another 10 digits are added. Then someone else asks eagerly to also write his number, then another. Soon enough, I have seven phone numbers written across my arm. Amy is telling me a joke for third time (which I didn't understand the first two). From behind me I hear,
    "Ahem."
Note: I am sooo sorry. I got caught up with schoolwork and such, and didn't post anything for such a long time. I feel really bad. Therefore, I'm gonna post two chapters a night until I'm caught up. So... this is the first one for tonight. Enjoy! Comment feedback! <3 ya guys!

    Right Behind You
    Chapter 6
    Lee DeWyze: Sweet Serendipity
First hour is social studies, with Mrs. Wallow. The only people I recognize are one of Heather's little followers and one of the other guys that stopped by after my vent earlier. Now is when that "first day haziness" is starting to sink in. In an attempt to fight it off, I try to focus on the people in the class.
All I can say is that this was a failed attempt. The bell rang sooner than I had expected. Through the entire class, all I have managed to gather are two things. Heather's friend, a petite girl with grey eyes, is names Carlie, and Jason and Damion's friend, a very tall, muscular guy with short brown hair and hazel eyes, is names Carson. The haze had won.
I don't even try and shake it off again, knowing it won't work. However, when I sink into my seat in second hour math, I think I scare Damion with my unresponsiveness. It takes him tapping my shoulder obnoxiously to get my attention. Man, I must really be in a funk if I didn't notice him sitting next to me. When I look over at him, he looks extremely worried. "Maggie? You ok?"
"Yes, I'm find, Damion." I nod my head, trying o reassure him. Actually reassuring him takes about five minites, but it's enough to wake me up. The rest of math flies by.
After that comes science. The one subject I have absolutely no opinion about. My science partner is Carson, the tall guy from social studies. For most of the class, he switches between leaning his head on his desk, half asleep, and leaning back in his chair, looking alertly around the classroom. Weird.
Jason sits right in front of me, and scoots back to talk to me every chance he gets. I can tell that Damion had told him about me zoning out last hour, because he is doing everything he can to keep me awake. Jokes, questions about my old school, anything. And it's working. I hardly stop laughing the entire hour.
Five minutes before the bell is going to ring, the teacher, Mr. Stanley, sees me cracking up at one of Jason's jokes, and shouts, "Jason Maverick! Turn around and stop flirting with Meg." I cover my mouth with my hand and snicker along with the rest of the class. Jason blushes furiously and turns around, although he's also laughing.
Fourth hour flies by, but the fog doesn't take my mind over again, thankfully. Since no one I knew has language arts with me, I sit, half smiling, through the entire class.
After class, I pull out my schedule again to check what class I have next. I did not expect what I saw.
    Lunch.
Note: And now... comes lunch. Please look up this song, it's one of my favorites :) Comment for feedback! <3 ya guys!

    Chapter 5
    Paramore: Playing God
Well, crap. I didn't see that coming. I lean back against the lockers. All I need is to think of a way to fix this, fast. But then, as I interlock my fingers across my forehead, I realize I honestly don't want to. "Ok, so?" I say before I try to formulate the rest of my thoughts into coherent sentences. "Who cares what she thinks of me? And if anyone decides they don't like me because of what she tells them, then fine. I don't care what they have to say, either. I'll find friends who might judge me at first, because everyone does, but who will figure out the kind of person I really am, and will love me for it. Ok? So I'm not gonna even try to make Heather not hate me." Wow. I really needed to get that out.
By the end of my little rant, I'm almost shouting, and two more guys had stopped to see what was going on. Oh, nothing, I think, Just some crazy new girl screaming about social politics.
Jason leans towards the other two guys and (I hope) tells them to leave, and Damion claps his hands lightly. "That was beautiful," he nearly whispers. "You wanna sit by us at lunch today? Unless, of course, you had other plans." That smirk just kills me.
I really, really want to sit by them, but then all the girls really would hate me. "Do we even have lunch together?" Not the best excuse, but it'll work. For now.
"Well, let me see your schedule." I hand it to him. He looks it over for a good 30 seconds, then says, "Wait what grade are you in?" Jason also motions for my schedule, then proceeds to look at it.
    "I'm a freshman," I reply, confused. "Why?"
"This must be a mistake. It says you're taking Mr. Speech's math class." Jason sounds shocked and as confused as I am. "That's junior year math. Which is Algebra 2." Oh, so that's what this is about.
"Well," I begin, "I'm double accelerated in math."
"*cough* Nerd. *cough*" Wow, real mature, Jason. But when he smiles, I know he's just joking.
"Luckily for us, your nerdiness is the only thing allowing you to have the same lunch as us." There's Damion's smirk again. Now I'm stuck.
"Ok, ok, here's the deal. If I sit by you on the first day, some girls might hate me just for that. So, if I make any friends today before lunch, I'll sit by them. If I don't, I'll sit by you guys." As much as sitting at a table of high school guys terrifies me, I might not have another choice.
"Fair enough." Damion's smirk widens into a full smile and he winks at me as he gets up to leave. "I gotta get to science."
Jason moves to stand as well, and reaches for my hand to help me up. "Thanks. Hey, can you help me find... Mrs. Wallow's room?"
"Of course." Still smiling, he leads me down the hall.
I think it was then that I realized I had made a friend, or maybe two.
Note: First chapter for today. Second on its way. Ok, so who do you like better? Jason or Damion? Vote :) Comment feedback! <3 ya guys!

    Jimmy Eats World: The Middle
"No, it's not. I'm just a clutz." I couldn't help but stare at him. Of course, I was still picking his books up at the same time. In the process of the lame attempt at multitasking, I manage to fall backwards on my butt. This only seems to prove my point.
He laughs, the most beautiful thing I've heard yet today. As he does, he flips his intentionally messy blonde hair away from his deep brown eyes, and those very eyes light up in amusement. "Alright, fine. But for the record, so am I." He sticks his hand out to help me up from the ground. Once I'm up, he lets go and takes his books from my arm. "Thanks. I'm Jason. You new here?"
"Yeah." I sigh. "Any tips?" I smirk hopefully, then begin grinning when he makes a show of stroking his chin and staring off into space, deep in thought. I must've accidentally let out a little giggle, because Jason stops and turns to me, also grinning.
"Smile. It's gorgeous." And, with a tip of his head, he turns around and jogs toward his group.
Well, that wasn't so bad, I think to myself. First person I meet, and it's him, whoever "he" was. I couldn't shake the feeling that I knew him from somewhere, although I think I would remember him if I really did.
Suddenly, the bell rings. Kids start filing through the front door. Only then do I realize I haven't moved a step from where I stood when Jason walked away.
As I wander through the doorway, I attempt to take in the enormity of the front hallway. At the same time, I hear whispering behind me, but don't think anything of it. It's just reassurance that this school will be just like middle school.
But when the whispering shifts, and three tall blonde girls cut in front of me, I get a little bit irritated. It wouldn't be so bad if they weren't slower than they would be if all three were balancing on one pair of crutches.
I reach into my beloved green bag (that I've had since 6th grade) for my schedule. In the split second that I'm looking down, the whisperers decide to suddenly stop walking.
I crash into the tallest one. She whirls around furiously, fixing her baby blues on me. "Watch it, shrimp!" Umm, no. That's it. She's only an inch taller than me, if that!
And so, before she can turn back around and whisper about me to her little friends, I snap, "You know what?"
    Bad idea.
Note: Waddaya think? I love this story. The song for this one doesn't really have anything to do with the chapter, I just couldn't find one and I love this song. Oh well! Comment feedback! <3 ya guys!

    Cady Groves: Changin' Me
"For the rest of the car ride, I sit and stare at my gray Converse up on the dashboard, with their caution tape shoelaces. To anyone looking at me, and probably even to my mom, I might seem to be deep in thought. In reality, my goal was to think as little as possible. I knew that thinking would result in worrying, and that was the last thing I needed right now.
As we pull up to the school, I mentally prepare myself for what I'm about to do. Out the window, easily 200 kids mill around the front of the building. A quick glance at the sign in front confirms that this isn't a dream. Tremper High School. In Kenosha. Wow.
Being from Milwaukee, a big city, and attending a middle school in Brookfield, a suburb, this small town has come as quite a shock. And I have a feeling this school won't be any different.
"Have a good day." My mom's voice startles me out of my thoughts, causing me to actually jump.
"Thanks." I open the door, step out, close the door, and stand facing the the street as my mom drives off. Deep breaths, I tell myself again.
As I turn around, I run into something solid. I quickly realize, in horror, that it was a guy. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" I bend down to pick up his books, which are now flung across the ground.
"No, no, it's my fault." He lifts his head, and I realize two things. One, he's gorgeous, and two...
    I know him.

    Chapter 1
    Parachute: White Dress
"Mom, come on!" I shut the back door and run to the car. Once I'm sitting, I start tying my shoes, impatiently waiting for my mother to catch up with me so that we can leave. I will not be late on the first day of school.
My name's Margaret. Margaret Robinson. Most people call me Meg, although some refer to me as other things, such as Maggie, Peggy (not often), or Mags, none of which I really mind. Just do not - under ANY circumstances - call me Margaret.
It's not that I don't like the name, because I do. It's just too... what's the word... sophisticated, too princessy. Too girly in that sense. Don't get me wrong: I'm girly, just not as girly as the name seems to imply.
I look in the rearview mirror, fixing my eyeliner (the only makeup I ever wear) and thinking about my old guy friend, who once asked me if I liked myself. My response had been that I didn't hate myself, but I didn't particularly love myself, either. Now, examining my wavy brown hair down past my shoulders and my big brown eyes I have always been proud of, my answer would be the same.
When my mom gets in the car, I relax a little bit, turning my iPod up with my earbuds already in and letting myself melt into my favorite song. "I wanna love you more..."
Almost immediately, my mom makes an attempt at conversation. "Watcha listening to?" I pause the song, but don't turn towards her.
"Parachute." I really don't want to have a conversation right now.
"Do I know them?" But apparently, she does.
"Probably not." Determined to end this, I hit play and prop my feet up on the dashboard.
Just breathe, I have to tell myself over and over again. Breathe.
Note: This chapter is sooo boring. So... I'm gonna type chapter 2 today also. But after today, one chapter per day. Also, before each chapter I'll write the name of the song I was thinking of while writing this. You do not have to listen to them, but you may if you want. Comment feedback! <3 ya guys!

How would you finish that sentence? Amazing? Horrifying? A fresh start, maybe?
Try vicious. Like in Mean Girls. It's a jungle. Actually, it's worse than a jungle. Why? Because the "animals" can talk. And oh, do they talk. They'll talk about anyone or anything, anytime, anywhere. They can (and will) ruin you if you give them reason to.
But how do I know this? I don't. Not yet, anyways. I'm about to fine out if these rumors, these stereotypes that everyone knows, are true.
See, it's my first day of 9th grade. And guess what? Lucky me, I transferred to a new school this year. Freshman year. Everyone at least knows someone, and I will know no one.
Wish me luck. I might need it.

Then today, he asked to talk to her again. Not knowing what he was going to say, I kept texting him but pretended it was my mom. This is what he said...
"Hello mrs. Smith this is austin im a friend of cassie... I just want you to know that she is super nice and she is awesome also she is smart..."
He has a girlfriend. But I'm not that close with him and I know he used to like me. I just can't believe that he felt that so strongly that he needed my mom to know.
