It's people like you who remind me why I decided to turn my life around. I love to encourage people and help them in their brokenness. I read your bio, and I honestly find it hard to believe that you think you're ugly. No seriously. Your skin is flawless and your smile is to die for. Your eyes smile with your face. It makes me feel so blessed when a small act of mine makes such a difference in someone else's life. Self harm is something serious and painful and way too common. I promise that if you open up to those around you, many of them have been through or are going through the exact same thing. I was shocked by the number of people who had been in the same place as me. I don't know if you believe in Christ, but I'm going to say this anyway: you have been fearfully and wonderfully made. Even if you don't read the Bible, you should go read Psalm 139. It's all about a God who loves you and knows you and knew you before you were born. I found a group of girls I trusted, and I told them about my lack of eating and cutting, and more than half of them had been through the same thing! I'm literally in tears right now this was seriously the nicest thing anybody has ever said...wrote I guess lol to me. You are honestly an amazing person, helping a stranger like me. Thank you so so SO much for taking the time to comment and bring a smile to my face OMG I'm so emotional right now over this. You are such a sweetheart and this is why I love this site-people like you. Your story is incredible and you are an inspiration to me. Well, I don't really know what I would do. Usually for me, I like a guy that I've been friends with for awhile. I can tell someone I barely talk to that I think they're attractive because it won't ruin anything, you know? If I told Bennett I liked him, it'd probably ruin our fragile friendship. Anyways, you're super gorgeous so I'm sure Shane's noticed you! Lol I'm beginning to wish I knew him so I could talk to him for you! Bennett's been out of town so I've only gotten to see him once in the past 3 weeks :/ He's so amazing <3 He's the pastor's son, and he has the great beard (Lol I'm a sucker for facial hair!) and he's really good with words. He's super smart (he's on debate team) and I'm always asking him for math help (even though I may understand it anyways) but we pretty much end up telling stories or jokes or playing video games. I never see him outside of church events though. I wish he'd ask me to hang out or something! I think we'd both have a great time, even if he doesn't like me. I've been through this before with him though, and everyone told me they thought he liked me back. He didn't. AND I'm the complete opposite of that other girl, even though I love her to death. Well, get to know him!! If Shane's in one of your classes, ask him how to do something. Borrow a pencil, laugh at his jokes. Make eye contact across the crowded hall and smile, then look away. Just be nice, and confident and yourself. If he doesn't like you for you, then he doesn't deserve you. And I will so let you know if anything happens with Bennett, but I highly doubt it. He likes or at least used to like this girl who's a year older than him. He's liked her forever and she's perfect. Blonde, perfect teeth, soccer scholarship, super nice. I am SUCH a downgrade. But he laughs at my jokes and we've played video games and had some great conversations about college and life so I feel like I maybe have a chance? Well, I'll keep you posted and you'd BETTER let me know about every single little conversation with Shane haha! reply

Well, I'm not the only one writing long paragraphs!! Haha you seem really sweet(: Shane's lucky to even have your eye! My uncle is WAAAY taller than my aunt, but I don't know... most of the guys I know like tall attractive girls who are sure of themselves. I mean, there's always the occasional douche who tells you outright that he wants in your pants, but other than him (he's rather easy to spot!) guys who want a girlfriend will like you for you. And I'm SURE you don't want to date your brother!! Haha(: My youth leader's dad is 6'10" and the whole entire family's tall. My youth leader (the wife) is the short one one the family, and they've all married really good, tall, Christian guys. (She and her sister. Her sister's 6'4") And I thought I loved John (the guy who the entire youth group made fun of me for). He's tall (6') and he loves Jesus and I just thought he was the one for me. Well, I've since gotten over him (It was hard- I liked him for about 2 years) and then he asked out my friend. She's getting over the guy she lost her virginity to and she doesn't like him back. But he's been persistent and he keeps asking her out. That was the final thing for me. I don't like him anymore, and now I like the pastor's son. His name is Bennett and he's so funny(: He's not really that tall. I mean he's shorter than you and I can't wear heels around him, but he'll grow. I'm always laughing around him and I've never heard him say anything mean ever. He's just so nice, so I can never tell if he actually likes me or if he's just being nice. You know? I don't think I love him, but I don't doubt that I could very easily fall head over heels for this guy. reply

Well, let me tell you: it is SO not hopeless. I'm a little above 5'8" and I consider myself tall. I don't particularly want to be taller, but I certainly don't want to be shorter!! I wear heels no shorter than 4" and I LOVE feeling tall. My old small group leader is SUPER tall. She's 6' or 6'1"... somewhere in there. Her husband is like 6'4" or something like that and he's PERFECT for her. I actually relate to him more than any adult I know. He's so sweet and they just had a baby named Kyrie and he adores her. I guess what I'm saying is that there is most certainly someone out there for you. And I'm glad to hear that about Shane (and if that's his real name, that is awesome! I've always loved that name). And why in the world wouldn't you have a chance? I'm not going to tell you to go for him, simply because I've had bad experience with that, but I'm sure he'll fall for you, if he hasn't already! You're waaay too pretty for him to pass up(: How old are you? If you're an underclassman, than you're in luck! All those shorter guys will grow in the next few years! I've only dated one guy I actually liked. Ever. But I haven't lost hope because my mom didn't get asked out until college and she married my dad after 6 months of knowing him!! She liked this one guy at her pool for 7 years and he never liked her back. I suppose I'm glad he didn't because if he did, I wouldn't be here! Anyway, keep your chin up! (I also posted this on your reply. I'm not quite sure how all that works! lol) First of all: This Shane guy really doesn't deserve you if he's really all that similar to Shane in your story. You seem super nice and I promise you'll find the perfect guy. Every girl has her bad side, but that doesn't affect her character. I kinda figured you were in a situation similar to Savannah's because my story was like that too. Two: I literally spent a whole minute staring at your picture because you are SO gorgeous! (lol no !) I swear, any guy would be lucky to have you. Third: Sweetheart, I know it's tough. I liked a guy (maybe even loved) and he didn't feel the same. My entire youth group found out that i liked him and everyone made fun of me on a mission trip this past summer. Now I like the pastor's son, but he's just a really nice guy so I have NO CLUE if he likes me. I guess what I'm saying is... every girl has that guy. I don't know you, or your story, but the stories you've written have blown me away! You're super pretty and talented. I love the idea of doing the different POVs and separate stories; I've never seen that before(: I started writing a story of my own, but hated it and gave up. When I first joined Witty, I was following, like, 12 different authors (All the good old ones, ya know?) But ALL of them quit and I stopped reading any stories. I didn't read for, like, a year. Then I got super bored and I saw my friend followed you so I read everything in one sitting! ERMAHGERD Your stories are awesome. reply

Thanks(: Your comment made me feel so much better! It's just that I haven't got anyone I fully trust that I can tell EVERYTING to. I know a lot of Witty girls are more than willing to listen, but I need someone here. Right here. Someone who I see regularly and can ask how I'm doing. Someone who I can actually answer that question honestly... Y'know? I have problems my friends wouldn't DREAM that I had. Nobody percieves me as unhappy in any way, but I am. I'm not clinically depressed, or anything like that. It's just that all my friends are skinny, make good grades, and have enough money. I'm almost overweight (according to my doctor; I'm not overweight yet, but I'm at the top of the spectrum for my height. Healthy, but not attractively so.) I'm making D's which caused my coach to cut me from the swim team. My parents also aren't letting me participate in the school musical because of my grades. My parents are still married, but my dad is the only one who works in my house. We afford necessities (clothes, shoes, food, house) just fine. Like, we're not in ANY debt, but that means we don't have anything left over. I don't have a car, texting, or even an iPod of any kind. I never buy new clothes at full price, but I'm a great bargain shopper. People trust me. I don't really have any secrets of my own. There is ONE SOLE THING that I haven't told anybody, but that's it. None of my own, I can't help but blab. But I never share others' secrets. Anyway, I guess I got carried away and told you my life's story. Just my normal life, not to mention my love life, but that's a completely different story. reply

I try! And yeah, I know It's nice to have someone who you know is thinking of you. I'm so sad about your grades. I know what your problem with money is. A few years ago, we were barely making it by, but we could still manage. I literally just got my iPod last may. It's great that people trust you! I don't mind you telling me. None of my own, I can't help but blab. But I never share others' secrets. Anyway, I guess I got carried away and told you my life's story. I try! And yeah, I know It's nice to have someone who you know is thinking of you. I'm so sad about your grades. I know what your problem with money is. A few years ago, we were barely making it by, but we could still manage. I literally just got my iPod last may. It's great that people trust you! I don't mind you telling me. I'll not ask that one Sole thing either, because I know that type of thing is so private. And I don't mind if you tell me the lovely story of your love life.

Sorry- Witty was being weird and I didn't get the notification that you'd replied. Let's see... I live in NC, I love to swim, Jesus is my everything and I'd fall on a knife for my friends.
