   story. no title yet.
   Six thoughts at once, I can't focus on one. Running, just running. Having no destination. I can still feel the heat on my back, getting more and more uncomfortable by the second. Sinking, traveling. I have no sense of anything. My surroundings are still so foreign. All I know is I must get away. I approach a small clearing in the tall grass and throw myself into the weeds. As I fall down, I come undone. Never have I felt so fragile, so fearful. So alone.
   Never before the flames, and now the torturing insensitivity of this still-life. I thought the outside was supposed to be filled with toxic waste, not easily flammable vegetation. I lay there, trying to gather my thoughts. How can everything go from such terror to this silence in a matter of minutes? It can't. It won't stay like this.
   I knew running away from the dome would have its consequences. The extramural was a dangerous and unknown place, filled with the poisons our ancestors left behind. Or so everyone thinks. It is now obvious to me that the extramural isn't just litter everywhere. It has some similar qualities to the dome, but some things I've never seen before. But how will I survive if I can't even make a fire without everything going up in flames? That reminds me. The inferno will approach me soon.
   But what have I got to lose? The chances of me surviving out here are close to impossible. The weather conditions completely exasperating. From the wind and the beating sunlight. I can't even imagine what it will be like when night time falls. In the dome, they just flip a switch when the crops are dry, and it rains. Nothing like that out here.

   it's kinda messed up, isn't it?
   how all of a sudden, someone just wakes up and decides to never talk to you again.
   no reason.
   no explanation.
   no words said.
   they just leaving you hanging like you never meant anything to them, and what hurts the most is
