I just can't win.
I keep fishing, time and time again.
Every time I get a bite, I feel hope.
Hope that maybe, just maybe, it will be a good catch.
The struggle to reel in is long, but it feels worth it.
Then, just when I get close enough to pull it up, I slip.
I've waited too long and now it's gone.
It comes back with an empty hook and now, I must re-cast.
My stomach, like my heart, is still empty, missing something.
Putting my heart on the hook, I put it back out in the water, restarting the cycle.
Let's find out if there really are more fish in the sea.

Today I realized that if you put anything in quotes and add a famous person's name saying said quote, you tend to hear that person's voice saying it in your head no matter what it is.

To all girls, from boys:
We like it when you wear sweatpants (it shows us who you are)
Intelligence is a turn on
Don't be afraid to let your hair look a little messy; we think it's cute
We honestly don't mind a little makeup, but mostly we like a natural look to show us who you are, not who your makeup makesyou
We love it when you take our hats.
Don't be afraid to speak your mind-most of us will want to hear it
If your uncomfortable say so
if your upset and we dont do anything about it, dont assume we dont care (we know that silence is sometimes the best treatment)
Just cuz we talk to other girls doesnt mean we like them
Even if we say we think all girls are beautiful in their own way, obviously you personally are our first pick, so dont get offended.
