    Kaia;
    Justin didn't text me. He didn't call me. Or come to see me. Three weeks without a word.
    "Kaia, you really need to go back with mom," Troy said, searching for his car keys.
    "Never. Never, ever, ever. But, if you want me to leave . . ."
    "Listen, I gotta go to work. Be good."
    With that, he left.
    I got up and rushed out the door, making my way into town. I needed to get away.
    Justin;
    "THANK YOU, CALIFORNIA!" I screamed into the microphone, as I was walking off the stage. Between all of the concerts and signings and the movie, the past month has been as hectic as hell. To admit it, I even forgot about Kaia, but only for a few minutes.
    "Justin! I love you!" A red-head screamed as I headed to the limo. I winked at her, "I love you, too."
    Finally, I was heading home to get some rest.
    When we got home, I rushed up to my room and fell asleep quickly. Rest was what I needed.

    Kaia;
    About a week later, I was walking to the library, listening to my iPod and I saw Anthony, the guy I met at Ryan's house, sitting with Ryan and Pat. I was hoping they didn't notice me, but they did.
    "Hey, Kaia, come here."
    They said my name, stressing both syllables. Ky-uh. I walked over to them, and tried not to make eye contact with Ryan. If I did, I know I'd end up ripping his head off.
    "Hey, guys. What's up?"
    "Nothing, but, how do you spell your name?" Anthony asked.
    "K-A-I-A, why?"
    "Just making sure you knew that, so you can put your number in my phone."
    Well, that made no sense, but at least he was cute. We exchanged numbers, and I went back to Troy's apartment. I hoped things would start to get better soon. Maybe I'd find a real relationship, and maybe Ayla would start to want to be around me.
    Justin;
    Ryan texted me that Kaia and Anthony were flirting big time. I knew better than to trust him, so I decided to ask Kaia about it.
    "Hello?" She said, when she picked up the phone.
    "Hey, Ky," I answered. That was my nickname for her.
    "What's up?"
    "Nothing," I lied.
    "Oh. So why did you call me?"
    "A guy can't say hi to his friend?"
    "Oh. Well, hi."
    "No. The reason I called was because Anthony asked about you. . . ."
    "He did?" Her voice perked up. I found my answer now.
    "Yeah. Um, well, I gotta go. Bye, Ky."
    "Bye Justin."
    Damn. I found her first, and I take her to see my friends. What do they do? They steal her away from me.
    I had three concerts that day, and interviews that lasted for hours. This happened for a few weeks straight. I was so busy all the time, and I needed a break.

    Kaia;
    My brother, Troy, was excited to have me stay with him. It was boring, though. I honestly had no friends anymore. Maybe I should hang out with Ayla.
    You see, Ayla is pretty much the exact opposite of me. Our faces are almost identical, but she has brown hair and green eyes, and is a complete girly girl. I was more of the HotTopic wardrobe kind of girl. We got along well, though.
    I texted her, but she said she had plans. It kind of hurt, being turned down by your own sister.
    "Why does my life suck?" I asked myself while watching TV.
    Justin;
    I was back on my regular work schedule, which meant no time for friends. I had a meet and greet at 12, and then a signing at 3. I was supposed to see Kaia today, but I had to reschedule to the next weekend.
    At the signing, there was a girl there with short, curly, brown hair. She looked exactly like Kaia in the face.
    When she and her friends came up to me, I stared at her for a long time.
    "Is your name Ayla?" I asked her, remembering what Kaia told me about having a twin.
    She nodded, and her friends automatically were jealous.
    "How did you know?" She asked. I smiled at her.
    "I'm friends with your sister."
    Her face dropped. "Rosie? She's like, six."
    Obviously, she wasn't the smartest girl I've ever met.
    "No, Kaia."
    She and her friends laughed, and I put a confused look on my face.
    "Kaia has no friends," the one with the dark red hair said.
    "Except for me," I replied. They looked like they were all about to scream with happiness that they had an actual conversation with me.
    I have that effect on people.

    Kaia;
    I had nothing better to do, so I settled for hanging with Justin and Ryan.
    "I never noticed how hot she was," Ryan whispered to Justin. Justin smacked him across the head and told him to shut up. They thought I didn't hear them, but I did.
    "So, Kaia, that's a cool name," Ryan said to me, trying to make conversation.
    "Thanks."
    I was tense and angry. I absolutely hated when guys called me 'hot'.
    "No problem. No problem at all."
    I rolled my eyes and without even realizing it, I grabbed Justin's hand. I didn't like him more than a friend, it just happened. I didn't even realize that I did that.
    Justin;
    I knew that she didn't mean to hold onto my hand, but I took it as an opportunity.
    "Justin, can we go somewhere that's not . . . Here? Please," Kaia begged me, quickly.
    "What? What's wrong?" I asked her.
    "Nothing, just drop it, please."
    I looked around to see what she was so upset about. The blond that she was with at the pizza place was with this guy, who I assumed was Griffin.
    We got out of there quickly, and went back to my house. Mom, of course, was home. Damn it. She was going to embarrass me, I knew it.
    "Mom, we're home!" I screamed into the quiet house. She appeared out of no where.
    "Hi, I'm Patti. You must be Kaia? Justin has been obsessed with you lately. You're just as pretty as he says you are."
    I noticed Kaia's face turn pink and she smiled.
    "Mom, you can stop now. Thanks for embarrassing me."
    She didn't reply, she just went back upstairs. That was weird.
    I turned my attention back to Ryan, who was just standing there, staring at me. I rolled my eyes and told them to follow me to my room.
    Kaia laughed as she kicked through my mess of clothes. She jumped on my bed and sat with her legs hanging off the edge.
    "So, you guys wanna watch me on TV?" I asked them.
    "No," they both answered.
    "Fine."
    Kaia's phone rang, and she answered it cautiously.
    "Hey, Ayla. . . . Again? . . . . No, I'm at a friend's house . . . . Well, I'm not coming home. She can pretend to care all she wants, I'm staying here. . . . I'll see you later. Love you, too."
    She hung up the phone and threw it on my bed. I looked at her and raised an eyebrow.
    "That was my sister. Mom wants me home again," she explained.
    "Isn't your sister, like, six?" I asked.
    "Yeah, but I have another sister. Ayla. We're twins," she said.
    "Theres two of you?" Ryan asked. Kaia shook her head.
    "We don't look alike, you idiot."
    "Wait, why aren't you going home?"
    "Because my mother hates me. I already told you, Justin."

    Kaia;
    Instead of Justin taking me to meet his mother, he took me to his friend's house.
    "Justin, they're not gonna like me."
    "Why wouldn't they like you?" He asked with a chuckle and a hair flip.
    "I'm not a very likable person."
    He just shook his head and led me up stone steps to a medium sized brick house.
    He just walked in without knocking, so I guessed that they were really good friends. I lightened up a bit.
    Justin;
    When we went into Ryan's living room, all the guys stopped playing COD and stared at Kaia. She looked at me with sad eyes.
    "I told you they wouldn't like me," she whispered to me.
    "Relax, they haven't even met you yet."
    I took her over to the couch, and she sat next to me.
    "Guys, this is Kaia," I said to the four other guys there: Ryan, Nick, Anthony, and Pat.
    "Hi Kaia," Pat said, not taking his eyes off of the game.
    "Pretty name for a pretty girl," Ryan said, also not taking his eyes off of the game.
    I couldn't believe how shy she became. It was like she was almost afraid to talk. She was obviously afraid that they weren't gonna like her.
    "Hey, Justin, you wanna play?" Ryan asked me. I nodded, and he threw me and Kaia each a controller.
    "I don't know how to play . . . " She said.
    "It's okay. You'll get it eventually," I laughed. She smiled and we both played. She ended up losing by a lot.
    I gave up my controller at the same time as Kaia did, because I didn't want her to think that I was obsessed with COD.
    Without thinking, at one point, I put my arm around her. She looked up at me, and I quickly moved it away. She grabbed my hand and wrapped my arm back around her.
    "Oh, so you do like me?" I teased. I knew it.
    "No, it's just freezing in here."
    Damn.
    "Anthony, stop checking her out," Ryan joked.
    "Shut up, man. You were checking her out, too," Anthony replied after he threw a pillow at him.
    "Yeah, well at least I can admit it," Ryan replied.
    Kaia's face turned pink, and I told the guys to shut up. They did.
    "Justin, your friends are nice," she whispered to me.
    "Well, I knew you'd think so," I whispered back.

    Kaia;
    He ended up walking me home, which meant that he now knew my address. Great.
    "Well, I'll see you tomorrow, Kaia."
    I gave him a weird look.
    "What do you mean?"
    "Oh. I forgot to tell you. I'm taking you to meet my mother."
    "What? We're not dating, Justin. And I just met you an hour ago."
    "So?"
    "You just don't quit, Bieber, do you?"
    "Nuh-uh," he said, shaking his head.
    I bit my lip and thought about it for a minute.
    "Fine."
    He smiled brightly, and said goodbye. He left after that. I was actually kind of glad when he left. He was annoying.
    -------
    Justin;
    The next morning, I went to the signing and tried to finish as quickly as I could. It took about two hours. I went to Kaia's house right after. I knocked on the door, and a little girl answered. She looked like she was six or seven.
    "Hi, I'm Justin. Is Kaia home?" I said, kneeling down so I could look at her. She told me that she was upstairs in her room. I walked up the stairs, and guessed that Kaia's room was the one with the bright yellow door with her name all over it. I knocked, but there was no answer, so I just walked in.
    She was asleep. I laughed to myself and went over to her.
    I kneeled beside her and loudly said, "Hi, Kaia!"
    She opened her sparkly blue eyes and closed them again.
    "Hi, Justin," she said calmly, with her eyes closed.
    I was surprised that she didn't go crazy and freak out on me.
    "Are you gonna get ready?"
    "Nah. I'm tired," she said. I put my face really close to hers, waiting for her to open her eyes.
    "Fine, you don't have to get ready, but will you come with me?"
    She opened her eyes again, and she didn't even care that our faces were only two inches apart.
    "You're a freak, Justin."
    I laughed.
    "What mouthwash do you use?" She asked me.
    "Mint. Why?"
    "Because I like it."
    I smiled again and she got up. I watched her pick out her clothes. When she was done, she just stared at me. It was getting weird.
    "What?" I asked.
    "Well, I gotta get dressed, Justin, unless you want me to go in this," she said, pointing to her Adidas shorts and yellow tank top. She looked good anyway, so it didn't make a difference.
    I left the room and in a few minutes, she came out wearing black skinny jeans, a Hollister shirt that was bright blue, and of course, her Converse. "You look good, shawty, let's go," I said.
    "Alright," she sighed.

    Kaia;
    I couldn't believe Ava. She stole my boyfriend, and tries to apologize? What the hell? My summer was completely ruined, and it hasn't even started yet.
    I went to the steps of the library. No one really went there anymore. It was old and abandoned, so no one would bother me. I was wrong. This guy, about my age, or possibly a year older, decides to come talk to me. I looked at him, and he looked really familliar. Oh yeah. I met him at the pizza place, I thought. Still, I thought I knew him from somewhere else.
    "Hey," he said with eyes filled with sympathy.
    "Hi. Again," I said, trying to lighten up my mood.
    "What's your name, shawty?" He asked with a soft voice.
    What the hell is a 'shawty'? I thought.
    "I'm Kaia. What's your name?" I asked.
    Justin;
    Was she serious? I mean, I'm not conceited or anything, but how could she not know me?
    "I'm Justin. Justin Bieber. You've never heard of me?" I asked.
    "Oh yeah. You're that guy who has a hot friend named Ryan."
    "Oh. Well, if you want to put it that way," I said, kind of defeated.
    "Well, Justin Bieber, I'm sorry to waste your time," she said, standing up. I stood up, too.
    "No, you didn't. By the way, why are you crying?" I asked her.
    "Oh. Well, my friend --"
    "The blond one?" I interrupted. She nodded and continued with her story.
    "She got my boyfriend, or, I guess ex-boyfriend, to break up with me. Now they're going out."
    I wasn't really good with drama, so I just nodded.
    "Listen, Justin, thanks for listening to me, but I gotta go,"
    she said. I knew she was lying. She just didn't want to be around me. I wanted her even more.
