i am so glad yesterday is over.
it was the anniversary of my uncle's death.
7 years he's been gone and it's got harder each year.
he had cancer and i watched him suffer year after year.
but nothing could've prepared me for what i saw.
on february 1st 2004 i watched my uncle die a slow painful death.
my young eyes watched him die.
my young ears heard the screams of my cousin asking him to stay with us longer.
my young cheeks felt tears roll down them.
and my young heart shattered into pieces.
i miss you uncle paul. rest in peace.

last night i bumped into my ex boyfriend on the street.
