I'm 13 years old, and my sports are horseback riding and softball. I really love singing and I'm auditioning for X Factor in 2013. I LOVE One Direction, Little Mix, Ed Sheeran, and Cher Lloyd. Summer Love
Chapter 3
My uncle’s house was only a block away from the beach. I was already in my bikini under my clothes so I ran back downstairs, quickly kissed my mom good-bye and made my way for the white sand.
The white grains squished between my toes as my sun absorbed the probably very harmful rays. But, I didn’t care one bit. I was going to squeeze every drop of summer here, and no one was going to stop me. Except maybe the incoming volleyball approaching my face at a rapid speed.
“What the f –“ I shouted as I fell back onto the sand, holding my forehead where I was just hit.
“Oh, sh/t! I’m so sorry! Me and my friends were just messing around a – Hey, where are you going?” I began to walk away from the very attractive boy as he rambled on and on. I was fine, there was no need to apologize. “Are you okay, at least?” Great, he was following me.
“Yes.”
“You don’t seem okay.”
“Well, I am.”
“You sure?”
“Yes!”
“OK, OK, calm down there! I’m Keaton, by the way,” I looked up to see his perfect smile. I couldn’t help but smile back. His smile was just so big and happy.
“Autumn,”
“It’s summer, sweetheart,” A confused expression was painted on Keaton’s face.
“No, no. My name is Autumn. Trust me, I know it’s summer.” I chuckled. He was so adorable!
“Ohh! Man, I’m sorry! That’s a pretty name though,” Keaton smiled before repeating: “Autumn.”
I spent the next two hours with Keaton, just getting to know him and him getting to know me. Of course, at the end of our little hang out session, he got my number and I got his.

Summer Love
Chapter 2
I was jolted away by our landing. I didn’t even realize I fell asleep. But, our 6 hour flight was over. I made my way off the plane, eager to take in the California air.
“What’s that smell, Mom?” I smiled. “Not New Jersey!”
She laughed and we got our luggage and what not then made our way out to the taxi stop. We were going to be living with my uncle Owen. He owned some huge, worldwide company and his house was ridiculously big. I’ve seen pictures and I thought my house was huge! We hailed a taxi and my mother and I slid in the back seat while Rob helped the driver with the bags before he got in the passenger seat. I turned on my phone to see that I had 2 texts, 4 Facebook notifications, and Twitter mentions. I checked Facebook first. All it was was comments on stuff that I had commented on, and likes on my profile picture. Twitter was just retweets and favorites. And the two texts were from friends from school, telling me they’d miss me. Yeah, “me.” Or my parties, I thought. I was never completely sure of my friends once high-school hit. Three on-going years – about to be four – of people using me for parties, guys, to borrow my clothes, popularity. You never knew what was going to happen next.
The ride was short and we arrived at my uncle’s in no time. My mom told me he wasn’t home at the moment and we should just get settled in. My mom and Rob had their own room already picked out for them, which meant I got to pick my own. There were about 7 rooms, and 3 of them were masters. I think I knew where I would be sleeping. I nearly ran into the house, knowing Rob would probably bring in my suitcases. There was a note on the front door, telling us where the key was hidden and where the rooms were. I unlocked the door and ran into the house, only to stop dead in my tracks in awe. The foyer was brilliant. There were two grand staircases right when you walked in. I ran up and the whole second floor was the bedrooms. I checked out all the rooms, and there were notes identifying my Uncle Owen’s and parent’s rooms. So, there was only one Master left. I scanned the rooms for it until I saw it. It was perfect. Polished wood flooring, giant king – sized bed, huge window, with a freaking balcony. I was in love. I didn’t think it could get any better until I saw the closet. Large would be an understatement. There was so much room! I knew I packed a lot of clothes for a good reason. I mean, I would be staying here for three months. You need outfits for every occasion. A lot could happen during the summer. You never know.

Chapter 1
I packed away the last piece of clothing before zipping up my PINK suitcase. My mom’s blonde head poked into my room.
“Ready to leave, sweetie?” I nodded, grabbed my 4 suitcases and followed her down the stairs to our SUV outside. I smiled sweetly at my step dad and handed him my suitcases. I was never very fond of him. It wasn’t his fault, I suppose. He was very nice to me, had a big job, and got me basically anything I wanted. But he wasn’t my father. He never would be. I hopped in the back seat of our car and plugged my iPhone 5 into the car charger. I opened up Twitter and scrolled through my timeline, retweeting things here and there. I tapped the “Compose Tweet” button and typed in “California here I come #goodbyejersey” and sent it on its way to all of my followers timelines.
“Ready to go, Autumn?” Rob, my step-dad asked, smiling back at me. I gave him a huge, fake smile. I rolled my eyes, combing my fingers through my waist – length auburn hair. I popped my Beats into my ears and scrolled through my summer playlist on my iPhone. I hit shuffle and Eat You Up by BoA came on. It was old, but I still loved it. I stared out my window, the large houses of my neighborhood passing by. It was a pretty wealthy town. Rob was head of some big company and my mom owned a real-estate agency. It was a pretty nice life.
I went on Facebook, scrolling through my newsfeed. My best friend posted on my wall.
“I’ll miss u beettchh”
I laughed, tapping the “like” button and went to respond on her wall. “I’ll miss u too:* don’t worry, I’ll bring u back a nice cali guy ;)”
I leaned my head back on the leather seats and shut my eyes.
This summer will be good.

so, back in about march, there was this kid who texted me and was always like "oh i want you" and i always thought he was joking so i would say it back and stuff. but yesterday I was talking to my other friend about it and i asked her what it was about. She said that he said everything about me was perfect. (minus my teeth but i can agree. my teeth are poop.) I couldn't help but smile, though. to know that someone thought that about me...i don't think that about myself at all. i just can't. i see myself as fat and ugly. i don't see anything good about myself. the only thing i like about myself are my eyes. that's it. but the fact that someone thought about me? every time i think about it i smile.
