Chapter 2: School
The next morning was silent. After Chloe did what she had to do and put on a blue tank top and white shorts. During breakfast, Chloe’s dad asked “Please Chloe, tell me why you’re mad… it’s not like we’re moving to Hawaii.”. She stopped eating her toast, stared at him for a while, and then responded “I had plans dad, plans with my friends. Now im going on a summer long DATE with you guys!”. Her mom chuckled “Sweetie, ha-ha, it’s not a date, just a vacation! You’ll have so much fun, darling. You can go to the beach, babysit Hawaiian babies, go on cool adventures with Ab--... where’s Abby!? Is that dog still asleep? Nate please go get her.”. Chloe’s dad ran upstairs to get Chloe’s dog. Chloe washed the dishes quickly, grabbed her backpack and put her diary, pen, phone, pencils, notebook, lipgloss, mini fan, etc. in it, kissed her mom, kissed her dad then dashed out the house. She came running in moments later mumbling “Forgot my shoes”. She grabbed her blue flip flops and when to the corner to meet her friends. “Hey guys!” yelled Chloe while she was running.
“Hey Chloe!” said Leslie and Chelsea at the same time. They all started laughing. Chapter 1: the big news
It was a dark night. Chloe was in her bed. For an unknown reason, she couldn’t sleep. She heard he mother and father talking. Chloe heard them coming upstairs to her room and quickly pretended to be asleep. They came in her room and gently ‘woke’ her up. “Sweetie, your father and I have something important to tell you.” said Chloe’s mom. Chloe looked as her father turned on the light. He was sweating HORRIBBLY! It WAS in the 80’s outside. “Chloe, as you know your mother’s birthday is coming soon...” said her father. “July 31st” he added nervously. “Well honey, we decided to spend the summer in Hawaii, ON A CRUISE.” said Chloe’s mom. “No way mom, dad! That’s great! I promise ill take care of the houseJ” Chloe exclaimed clearly happy. Her father added “ And you’re coming with us!”. The parents paused, waiting for a squeal, jump, hug, SOMETHING HAPPY…

I have the lemonade stand I promised to do with Chelsea, soccer practice, the beach, summer exclusives at the mall, the slumber party at Leslie’s, going to amusement parks with my friends, my BABYSITTING job, umm, oh yea, my homework! Tomorrows the last day of school! summer started and I have stuff planned for the summer!” said Chloe. “Honey, you do the same thing every summer. It’s time for a fun change this one time. Besides, you can still go to the beach and do your homework. Maybe you will meet new people Chloe.” said her father. “But DAD!—“. “No buts. Now get to bed last day of school is tomorrow…we will talk more in the morning” said her father turning off the lights. Chloe later fell asleep thinking what am I going to DO!? Why did they tell me this now...
