Epilogue
I nodded weakly, still trying to take it all in.
Evan Chandler, the man I haven't seen in two years was the guy who just spilt my coffee all over my favorite cardigan.
"I never thought I'd see you again." he laughed with relief, eyes shining with warmth. "You look great."
My cheeks turned red, as I bit my lower lip, a habit I had whenever I felt nervous.
The thing was that there was never an Evan and I after everything that happened.
After the day at the photography club classroom, everything just changed.
He kissed me, and I kissed him back.
As much as I liked it, I knew he wasn't thinking about me when he was kissing me.
He was thinking about Hollis.
So, I pushed him away, despite how heartbroken he looked.
I told him right then and there that there was never going to be us, ever again.
Especially not after what he did to me.
"Thanks." I whispered, staring at the liquid that was trailing across the countertop.
Evan opened his mouth to say something, but the red head at the cashier snapped at him.
"Evan! You split the drink on her?!" she hissed, wiping up the mess. "Oh, jeez! I'm sorry!"
She wacked Evan across the head, glaring at him. "You're such an idiot." she snapped.
I let out a chuckle, as Evan turned bright red. "It's fine, really. Can I just get another coffee?"
She nodded quickly. "I'll get on it."
Evan turned back to me, as the red head went to make me another drink.
"I'm serious, I'm sorry about that." he smiled weakly. "Especially since it's Christmas Eve. What are you doing here anyways? I heard you went to NYU."
I laughed, tucking my hair behind my ears.
"I'm spending my Christmas with my family." I explained.
Evan nodded slowly, as he licked his lips. "How long are you staying?"
I shrugged. "I'm leaving next week, after New Years."
A small smile tugged across Evan's lips, making my heart leap.
That was the smile that made me fall in love with him years ago.
"Do you think we could hang out while you're here?" he asked.
I gulped, staring at him with shock.
I cleared my throat, nodding. "S-sure."
I jotted down my number on a napkin for him, as he shoved it in his pocket.
"Thanks." he smiled.
The red head appeared back with a drink in her hand, handing it to me.
"Here you go! And so sorry about your shirt!" she gave me a frown.
I smiled. "It's fine, really."
I took the drink, as I stood up from the stool.
"I'll see you later, Evan." I waved.
I left the cafe with a smile on my face.

Chapter 28
I keep on forgetting to write everyday, and im sorry for all the excuses!
I haven't seen Evan much lately, even after my conversation with Aiden.
But today, I mustered up the courage to go see Evan after school at the photography club.
The halls were empty, as an echo was made when I walke down the hallway.
I remembered the way to the photography class from my previous experience in freshman year.
I stopped in front of the wooden door, as I twisted open the knob.
The room was dark, with the exception of the light that was coming from the laptop across the room.
Evan was clicking away on the computer, going by picture after picture.
I cleared my throat, as Evan turned around.
He seemed surprised to see me, eyes widened.
He stopped clicking on his mouse, as he blinked a few times.
"Can I talk to you?" my voice came out high pitched.
Evan cleared his throat, as he turned the lights on. "S-sure." he stuttered nervously. "Just take a seat."
I took the empty seat beside him. "So, where's everyone? Isn't this the room to the photography club?"
Evan let out a low laugh, scratching the back of his neck.
I finally took a good look at him, noticing how stressed out and tried he looked.
His hair was a mess, and there were evident dark circles under his eyes.
"It's a Friday." Evan said. "Everyone left early today."
"How come you're still here?" I asked.
"I need to review all the pictures that we're putting in the next paper that comes out on Monday." Evan shrugged.
I gave him a weak and forced smile. "Oh."
Evan licked his lips, as his green eyes casted down towards mine.
"I'm actually really glad that you came by today." Evan paused. "I've been meaning to see you."
I couldn't help but feel a bit angry.
I've been at school for the entire week, and he hasn't even glanced at me when we walked by each other in the halls.
"Really?" I asked bitterly.
Evan looked saddened by my harsh tone. "Arden, I'm sorry for what I did to you."
I stared down at my fingers, feeling numb on the inside.
"I know it may have seen like I was using you this whole time," he paused, "but I wasn't. At first, I was, but then I got to really know you, and I found out how different you were from Hollis. You're sarcastic, honest and you don't care about what anyone says about you, and I love that. Sure, you may look a hell lot like Hollis, but I pushed that aside once I realized who you really were."
I felt tears well up in my eyes, as I brushed them away quickly.
Evan saw me cry once, and he'll be lucky if he see's it again.
"Did you ever like me?" I whispered.
Evan gave me a small smile, tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ears. "Yeah, a lot."
I licked my lips. "When did you start liking me as more than just a replacement for Hollis?"
"When I first kissed you." he said without hesitation.
That was when I started to have feelings for him, as well.
"Do you still like me now?" I asked, feeling my own voice shake.
"Yes." Evan muttered, his eyes slowly shifting down to my lips.

Chapter 2 Part 2
We continued to walk. “So,” I said.
“So,” he said. “You really don’t remember me? I was at your fifth birthday party.”
I thought back to that day. That was a crazy party. “Oh! Were you the kid who hit me in the head with the plastic baseball?” I asked.
“No,” he laughed. “That was my brother. I was the one who pushed your face into the cake.”
I laughed. “What!” I shouted. “You and your brother pretty much ruined my birthday!”
“Sorry! I was six,” he said.
“It’s okay.” I smiled.
“Wasn’t that birthday party in the Summer? Your birthday must me coming up soon,” he said.
“Yeah. Two weeks. June seventh,” I answered. “When’s yours?”
“December fifth,” he said.
Okay, so he’s only one and a half years older than me. Still, it would be weird for everyone. I smiled at him as his green eyes glisten.

Chapter 2 Part 1
Tim followed me to the street and we started walking towards a park right down the street from my house. It wasn’t a park with swings and slides or anything. It’s the kind of park with benches that old couples sit on and paths that people run on. It was peaceful and it was one of the best places on earth.
We turned the corner and we were walking through the main path of Granger’s Park. And then I saw my best friend Gianna walking at the other end of the path.
“Oh shoot,” I turned to Tim. “Give me a second, and then after, pretend like this never happened, okay?”
“Um, Okay?” He said, puzzled.
I turned back around. “Gianna!” I shouted.
She looked up. “Violet!”
We started running towards each other and we hugged and jumped up and down like little girls. This was what we called our handshake and we vowed that no matter where we were or who we were with, we had to do this if we saw each other somewhere.
Then Gianna stopped jumping. I saw her gaze move over my shoulder. Her laughing smile turned into her flirting smile. She flipped her brown hair over shoulder and walked around me.
“Well, hello there,” she said, holding out her hand for Tim to shake.
“Hello?” He said, shaking her hand lightly.
“Who are you?” She asked him.
“Oh no,” I said, but I could barely hold back a laugh. This is what Gianna does. She flirts.
“Tim?” He replied. Poor guy.
I leaned over to Gianna and whispered in her ear, “He’s 17 and he’s a family friend. Off limits, Gianna.”
“I’m Gianna, and I’m going now,” she said. She waved to Tim. “I’ll text you later Violet.” And she skipped away.
“Uh, sorry about that,” I said. “That’s my best friend.”
“I can see that,” he replied and laughed.

All Down Hill From Here
Chapter 1
I softly sang along with the song until it ended.
"I didn't know you could sing, Marina." Mathis says.
"I guess." I mutter as the school comes into view. When Mathis pulls into the school parking lot I give him a kiss before walking off and through the front doors, heading towards the front office. I could tell people were staring at me. I just didn't know it that was good or bad yet.
"Hi, I'm Marina Pihillips. I moved here over the summer" I say to the woman sitting at the front desk. She looks up at me slightly annoyed with the fact the I interprutted her crossword puzzle.
She turned to face the filling cabinet. "Phillips, Phillips. Oh, yes. I'll call someone to the office to show you around." She says handing me a paper with my schedule on it. "Just go sit down in one of those chairs."
I sat down while while the lady called someone by the name of Evan Stockton to the office over intercom.
'What kind of last name is that?' I thought to myslef. It was unusal, but I like it. It was different in a good way.
The office door opened and in walked a dirty blonde green-eyed boy.
I stand and walk over to him. "Are you Evan?" I ask him.
"Yeah." He says looking at me.
"Well, I'm Marina and apperently you're supposed to show me around." I say hand him my schedule. Evan is staring at me so I snap my fingers in his face. "Earth to Evan."
"Oh, sorry." He says taking the schedule. "It's just you're so beautiful."
I can feel my face getting red and I brush a strand of hair out of my face.
"Thanks, so about showing me around." I say gesturing towards the door.
"Sure." Evan says opening the door for me.
**~~~~~~~~~~**
"So, this would be your last class with.... Briggs, oohhh." Evan says.
"What?" I ask looking into his green eyes.
"He's strict." Evan said, making a face at me that clearly read 'bummer'.
I raised my eyebrow at him.
"Okay, weel, thanks." I say snatching the schedule out of his hands and hurrying down the hall before he could get another word out.
