LIFETIME
Chapter 1
It was my first day of Kindergarden. I was so excited to meet new people and see who was in my class. I walked up to the brilliant new school. It was so big. I was a little afraid, but everyone feels like this at first. I enter James M. Elementary school with a shine in my eyes and my smile up to my ears. There was my teacher, Mrs. Ellis. She was a tall lady with dark brown hair and bright green eyes. "Here is our last student!" She turns to me with a smile just like mine. "Everyone; This is Fay Jones." All the short students turn around and look at me. I waved shyly and they waved back. They all turned around except this one little boy. He was a bit taller than me with brown hair and brown eyes. He came over to me very slowly and said, "Hi Fay. My name is Justin." I looked up from the ground said back hi. He walked away skipping, happily. Wow. My first day of school and I already made a new friend. I had a feeling this was going to be a good day

We entered Mrs. Ellis's classroom and looked around. This looked great! There was so many toys and games that we could play! They was even a puppet theater so we could make puppet shows! I looked outside the classroom window and they was a huge playground! "Guys! Come here!" I shouted and all my soon-to-be friends ran over. We all glared at the playground with wide eyes. I left the window and sat down on the alphabet rug. Justin came over and sat next to me. "Hi again. Want to play hopscotch when we go outside?" he said. "That sounds like fun!" i responded. Mrs. Ellis called all of us over to the white board. We all sat down and stared at what was on the board. It was a counting chart all the way up to 100! I was so excited! I have always wanted to count up to 100! Justin came over and sat next to me. He asked me, "What number can you count up to?" I answered with 10. He said me too and we looked back at the white board. Mrs. Ellis said to repeat each number after her and when we reached 100, we all shouted that number. "Lunch Time!" Mrs. Ellis said. "Since it is the first day of school, who wants to go eat outside on the playground?" All the students answered with a loud YEAH! I grabbed my lunch, went out of the back door, and sat at one of the large, green picnic tables. "Hey!" I heard a voice call. I looked over and it was Justin. He was running towards my table. He sat next to me and he stated, "What do you have for lunch?" "I have a ham and cheese sandwhich, some chocolate pudding, and apple juice. What do you have?" I said. "I have a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich, a pear, and grape juice!" He said excitedly. We both began eating our delicious lunches. When we finished, Mrs. Ellis said we had time to play on the playground. "Want to play hopscotch now?" Justin asked. I nodded my head and we ran over to the concrete sidewalk. We grabbed a blue sidewalk chalk that looked like a crayon. Justin drew the hopscotch board and found a rock. "You can go first" Justin said. I grabbed the rock from him and threw it on the hopscotch board. It landed on the 2 and i jumped to that number. Justin screamed, "Good Job!" and took his turn. After a few games of that it was time to go back inside. Mrs. Ellis went over the counting chart again and told us to go home and impress our mom and dad with our counting skills. We all said good-bye to Mrs. Ellis and went to the main lobby to wait for our parents. Justin and I waited together for our parents. His mom came first. He looked back, said bye, and turned back around to his mom. My mom was the last one to come and pick me up. She asked me, "How was school?" I answered with, "Really good. I made a new friend named Justin, we ate lunch and played hopscotch together, and Mrs. Ellis taught us how to count to 100!" "Well Fay, I am excited to go home and hear you count to that very large number!" She said with a big smile on her face.
