    Even If It Kills Me!
    chapter 3Rave""You
Sunday mornings were always my most hated mornings, after Monday's. I spent my day watching as many episodes of Seinfeld as I could. When I reached the third season, I decided to shut it off. I called Cole to see if we could hang out. "Hello?" I immediately smiled when I heard his voice. "Cole! Can we hang out?" There was a short pause. "Yeah, I'll be over in 15." "Okay, I'll be waiting." We said goodbye, and then I hung up the phone. I jumped in the shower and quickly washed my hair, and then I waited for Cole. I put in one more disc of Seinfeld to watch for the remainder of wait time. About 2 minutes into it, there was a knock on the door. I jumped off the couch, and ran over to let him in. "Hello!" I said with a weird voice. He did the same. "Oh, Seinfeld." He said with a huge smile. "Yeah, I've been watching it all day. How was work?" I asked. "It was boring. You should have come by. Business was very slow." He said, looking up at me. "What do you want to do?" I asked Cole, sitting down next to him. "Wanna go get an ice cream?" He smiled at me. "Uh, HELL YES!" I shouted. He grabbed my hand and pulled me off the couch. "I'll race to the truck." He smiled. "You're on." I said booking it to the door. "I win." I boasted, as i climbed into the truck. "Whatever." He sneered jokingly. We drove to the ice cream shop, laughing, and talking about nothing. When we finally arrived, I jumped out of the truck, and rushed into the shop, not caring who saw me. "Can I have a moose tracks on a sugar cone please?" I asked the lady at the cash register. "Sure, and what would you like sir?" The lady asked Cole. "Same as her please!" He said with a smile. "That will be a dollar and seventy five cents." Cole handed her the money, and she handed us our ice creams. "Thanks you!" I smiled at her, and then went and sat down. Cole sat down across from me. "Does this smell weird to you?" I asked Cole, holding my ice cream out to him. He bent down to it, and I pushed it into his nose. It wasn't much, just a small mark on the tip of his nose. We laughed a lot, and everyone around us stared. After we finished our ice creams, we went to the park, and we went on the swings. After a while we moved over to the bench, because there were kids who wanted to use the swings. "Damn little kids." I muttered. Cole must have heard me, because he burst out laughing. Cole got up off the bench, pulling me up with him. He stood, looking down at me, and I looked up at him. Cole was about a foot taller then me. "I have to tell you a secret Spencer." Cole said smiling. "Okay then tell me." I said, still looking into his eyes. "Well, I can't say it out loud." He said. "Okay, then whisper it in my ear." I replied. Cole slowly bent down, and whispered, "Spencer, please don't get upset when I say this but, I think in love with you." My eyes grew wide. I had never thought of Cole like that. I always had thought of him as a brother, or as a best friend. Somewhere deep down in my heart, I had loved him back though. He brought his face a few inches from mine, staring into my eyes. His eyes were searching mine, filled with worry. Without thinking about the consequences, I got on my toes and I kissed him.

    Even If It Kills Me!
    chapter 2Rave""You
Cole climbed back onto the matt a few minutes later, and sat next to me. He put his arm around me, and pulled me back so we were laying down. I turned on my side so that I was facing him, and threw my arm around him, with my head resting on his chest. He had totally taken my mind off Joey. "Spence, there's something I-" "Spencer!" Me and Cole shot upright to find Joey standing in the open door of the gym. "Spencer, can we please talk." Joey asked, taking a couple steps forward. "There's nothing to say Joey!" I hissed. I grabbed Coles hand, leading him outside to his truck. We decided to take a drive. "What were you were about to ask me ?" I asked Cole as we drove around town. He looked over at me. "Oh, it's nothing Spencer, don't sorry about it." I could tell that he was lying. "Come on, tell me. Please?" I begged. "No!" He snapped. I jumped, not expecting that. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap like that." He apologized. I smiled. "We're best friends, we tell each other everything." I attempted again. "But there are some things that are better left unsaid for the sake of the friendship." He replied. I dropped it, and we drove around for a few more hours, looking at the scenery. Around 9, her finally drove me home. "I'll walk you to the door." He offered. "How about you just come in. My mom won't be home tonight, so it's fine." My dad had died a couple years ago of lung cancer. He was a smoker. My mom was devastated. She had cut me out of her life since then. She isolated herself from the world. "Okay." He replied, followed by a small smile. We got out of the truck, and he followed me into the house. "So, what do you want to do?" I asked, as we both sat on the couch. "How about we watch the notebook?" He offered. I shook my head. "No, that would be weird. How about we watch this." I said, pulling out My Sisters Keeper. "I've never seen it before." I added. Cole shook his head, and agreed. "I've never seen it either." He chuckled. I put the movie in the player, and then snuggled under my favorite whiter polka dot blanket. Cole sat next to me, and I laid my head on his shoulder. When the movie was over, I offered for Cole to spend the night. "I can't. I work Sunday mornings." He gave me a hug, and then left. I put the notebook in, and then I ran to the freezer, grabbing a tub of ice cream and a spoon. I cried through the whole movie. Not because of the movie, but because of Joey. I felt like a failure. "Am I to ugly for you? Are you not satisfied?" I yelled, at a picture of him. I through it against the wall, watching it shatter. I cried even more, until I finally fell asleep.
