    Chapter 7
Beccas house is really nice. It's on the beach like mine but much bigger. I didn't realize that i was holding Kassidys hand the whole time untill she droped it and went to the bathroom and get things for s'morse and left me outside on the patio with Leo and Emmett. Well, this is awkward. I've never been good with new people. I try not to be awkward but I just make it worse.
"So Connor, how did you meet Kas?" Loe asked. "The first day i came here I was walking around her saw her at the river." I said kind of hesitant because it's our story. It's proabably stupid but I didn't really want to share it with anyone. Kassidy, Becca and Carly came back just in time.
The rest of the night kind of went by in a blur. We had some s'mores, laughed but I feel like I got to know them better. Now I'm more comfortable around them, which will be good for when I go back to school and just in gerneral. Kassidy and I said bye around 11:40 and started walking down the beach. "I bet you can't catch me!" She said running away from me. I laughed, 'I was on the lacross team, remember? I'm not just a photographer!" I caught up to her, threw her over my shoulder and ran into the ocean. Her laughed filled my head. After slashing around in freezing water, I had her jump on my back and started walking back home again. "My house is that way." She said, pointing to a rode up ahead. I set her down and held her face in my hands. "Kassidy, you're not going home. You're staying at my house again." She pulled away, "I can't just live at your house Connor. I have to go home at somepoint." I shook my head and slide my hands down her arms to hold onto her cold hands. "Well, you're not going home tonight. I won't allow it." Her face softened and I could tell she was glad I was insiting this even though she tried so hard to hide it. "Are you sure your dad will be okay with it?" "He'll understand"
She tightened the grip she had on my hands, "You can't tell him. It'll just make things worse." I didn't understand how it would make things worse but I didn't want to argue with her because I don't really know anything specific about the situation anyways. I just nodded and we proceded to walk to my house in silence.
I tried to walk in the house quietly so I wouldn't wake my father up if he was sleeping but, he was sitting at the kitcgen counter with his laptop emailing someone. "Hey Connor," he said before turning around to see Kassidy, "And hello Kassidy..?" He just looked at me. "She was locked out of her house and no one was home so I thought she could just stay here one more night..?" I said with a smile. "Yeah, it's fine. The floors in the guest room are still not ready so you're going to have to sleep on the floor again Connor." "It's fine, thanks dad." He turned back around and Kassidy quietly said thank you. I've never seen her shy, it's kind of adorable.
Once we got to my room, I shuffled through some boxes to find some sweatpants and two shirts. She threw she hair into a bun and put on the clothes I had given her. They were pretty baggy on her but she looked cute and seemed comfortable. She waled past me and I grabbed her hand to pull her in and started dancing. She laughed. God her laugh, I could listen to it all day. She stood up on her tippy-toes and gave me a quick kiss and strted to walk towards the bed. I pulled her back in and gave her a long slow kiss just like in the movies. She laughed again and ran into the bed and threw a pillow at me. I made my bed right at the side of my real bed. I fell asleep holding her hand that was dangling off the side of my bed.
    -------------
I woke up in the middle of the night. Once I really opened my eyes and became fully aware of what was happening, I realized that Kassidy's sobbing was what woke me up. I immediatly got up and crawled into the bed with her. Just about right when I got up there she turned into me and started crying even louder. I wrapped my arms around her and whispered, "It's going to be okay, you're going to be okay." over and over again untill she fell asleep. Soon after I felt her heart beat return back to a normal pace, I fell asleep again breathing in unison with her.
Ahh! It's been over a year! Oops! I hope you liked it though! Maybe I'll even keep writing this time!

    Chapter 6
I couldn't stop smiling as we walked back to my house, neither could she. This had to be the best day that I've had for a long time. When we reached my room, I sat against the bed while Kassidy laid on it with her hands around my chest. "So, where am I sleeping?"
"Well, the guest room and the living room were the rooms being re-done today so, you can’t sleep in there. I guess you're going to have to sleep in here." I said with a questioning tone. "I'll sleep on the floor and you can have the bed." She smiled. "You and your dad are letting me stay here. The least I can do is sleep on the floor." I laughed at her.
"Do you want to watch a movie?" She jumped up. "Sure!" "What’s your favorite? “Always let the lady pick. "Um..do you mind horror movies?" "No, I'm fine with them." "I love them but, I get really scared." Going through my movie box, saying all the horror movies I have. "What about, The Human Centipede? Have you seen it?" Her eyes got big just by the name. "No. It sounds scary. Let’s watch it!"
I put it in the DVD player, grabbed a two blankets and a few pillows. "I didn't know if you wanted your own blanket..?" She looked at me with an adorable smirk on her face, took the second blanket and threw it on the floor. I couldn't have been more romantic. "What are we- I mean you doing tomorrow?" She laughed at herself but I thought it was cute. "I don't know. I don't have anything planned." She smiled. "Well, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with me and a few of my friends..?" "Yeah. That sounds great. I think WE will have a great time." Finally after all the previews we over, I clicked play. Throughout the movie, Kassidy kept moving closer to me, as I tightened my arms around her. I didn't was this night to end.
I woke up and realized I never got off the bed to sleep on the floor. Neither did she. I fell sleep, watching the movie, with Kassidy in my arms. I reached over to get my phone to check the time trying not to wake her up. And I failed. “Good morning.” She looked at me and rolled back over. “Its 10:30. Get up. I’m making you breakfast.”
I went down stairs and started cooking eggs. She walked down the stairs yawning. “I hope you like eggs.” She smiled. “Wow. A nice, handsome guy, that cooks. I couldn’t get any luckier.” I smiled. “Did you know that you look amazing in the morning?” She blushed. I pushed that plate of eggs towards her. “Thank you.”
After eating and getting ready, we met up with four of her friends. “Guys this is Connor. Conner this is Carly, Becca, Emmett, and Leo.” It was nice to meet other people than Kassidy, not that I mind being around her all the time, but its just nice to know I’ll have guy friends to hang around with. “Oh my gosh! I have a great idea! We should have a little fire tonight at my place. We can all just hang out and my s’mores!” Kassidy looked at me with a smile. How could I turn it down?
    “Yeah. Sounds fun!”
    {So, sorry its kinda boring. The next chapter should be more interesting. PARRTYYY:D}

    Chapter 5
I can’t even gather what just happened. I turned to Kassidy looking over her many bruises. “Kassidy!” I was speechless. I knew this was a stupid question but, I said it anyway. “Are you okay?! Come on, I’ll take you to my house. The floors should be done by now.”
“I’m not going anywhere until I know there gone.” I looked at her, then looked out her window. I watched as a old station wagon flew out of the drive way and down the street. “I’m calling my dad. You’re staying at my house.”
“I can’t. I can’t just stay at your house. Your dad doesn’t even know me.” “I don’t care. He’ll get to know you. You are NOT staying here! Who knows what they’ll do to you!” She nodded her head in agreement. I helped her get off the floor to get her things.
I called my dad hoping he was home already. “Hey Dad. Are you home?” “Yeah. The floors look great. But we can’t go in the living room or the guest bedroom.” “Yeah, can my friend sleep over?” “It’s fine with me. They’re going to have to sleep in your room though.” I didn’t have a problem with that. “It’s fine. We need a ride.”
After telling him the directions, I helped Kassidy get ready. Soon enough, my dad was here. My dad looked at me when she got in. “You didn’t tell me your friend was a girl.” Oh gosh, here we go. Finally, after all the embarrassing things my Dad brought up about my childhood, we were home.
I brought Kassidy and her stuff up to my room. “Wow! You have an amazing view.” She said while looking out my window then falling on my bed. I walked over and sat down next to her. “Kassidy, how long has this been happening..?” She looked down at the floor. “Two and a half years..” Tears started forming. I pulled her in close, holding her, not saying anything. There was nothing to say. I didn’t know how to react.
“Hey, the sun is almost down, no one’s on the beach, let’s go do something.” I wiped the tears off her face as the smile I loved appeared. “Like what?” She laughed. “Hold on.” I ran down stairs grabbed a flash light and came back up. “Ready?” I shined the flashlight towards her.
We were walking on the shore line when she finally asked what we were doing. “Last week I saw baby turtle eggs and I wanted to see if the hatched yet.” Her face lit with excitement when I pointed the light where I saw the eggs. There were little baby turtle racing to the water. She turned to me laughing. “They’re adorable!” I needed to do this, now. “Kassidy..” She couldn’t hear me over her excitement. “Kassidy.”
“Oh sorry. What is it?” I pulled her close, looked into her deep green eyes. “Will you go out with me?” She smiled. Everything about her was perfect. “Yes Conner. I will.” I pulled her closer one last time for the
    best kiss in my lifetime.
    awuh turtles! :D
I hope you liked it. :D

    Chapter 4
I woke up the next morning thinking it was all a dream but then, I got a text. The screen read, “I have your sweatshirt. I was thinking about keeping it but, If I give it back, I’ll have an excuse to see you. (:” I couldn’t help myself from smiling. I texted back, “You don’t need one. My dad is having the floors done today and we can’t be in the house. Want to hang out?” I’m happy were having the floors re-done, even though we don’t need it. My phone buzzed. “Okay. My place. We’ll meet at the river at 10:00. I’ll take you from then. See you then!”
It was 9:00 so I jumped in the shower, found my clothes, got on my shoes and started towards the river. Of course by the time I got there she was already there. “Hey!” I yelled down the river. She spun around on a rock to face me. “You ready?” She asked. “My house is this way.” Pointing to the right. “If you will follow me Sir.” We both laughed.
When we got to the door she took a deep breath, before she opened it I grabbed her arm. “Are you okay?” She tried her best to put on a smile to convince me that she was fine but I could see right through it. “Yeah. I’m fine.” She opened the door, looked around and let out a sigh. I looked at her with one eyebrow raised I confusion. Before I could question, she took my hand and ran up the stairs. She showed me her room, it was a cute little room with posters all over the walls. We laid on her bed and talk for about a hour.
A door slammed downstairs and she jumped up, I could see the fear in her eyes. We heard footsteps running up the stairs, she started to cry as she moved farther back on her bed. Before I knew it, a man ran through the door and slapped Kassidy across the face. “Where is it!? Where’s your money!?” Kassidy fell to the floor as I jumped up in anger. “Leave her alone!” He didn’t even acknowledge me. He started kicking her against the wall.
I Grabbed him by the shirt and pinned him against the wall. “I said leave her alone! You want money? Here! Take it!” A threw fifty bucks at him. He looked at it, me, then her. “You think this little boy if going to save you? Well he’s not! I’m going to need that money soon so you better just tell her where it is! You’re mom and I need it!” He screamed, spit spewing from his mouth. “Its in my medicine cabinet!” He ran to her bathroom, nocking things to the floor. He came out with a wad of money and walked back over to her. I jumped in front of her so he couldn’t kick her again.
    “Leave.”
[Guys, I am so sorry that this chapter took so long.

    Chapter 3
I saw her eyes light up and she quickly looked down at the ground. I think she was blushing. I know I was, and I couldn’t hide it. I felt powerless but, I didn’t care.
We went in about every store as she told me about herself. I couldn’t help but like her more as I began to get to know her. She told me her birthday, May 17th, her favorite color, Yellow, and about her child hood.
“Now, tell me more about you.” She said with a smile putting down a vintage clock.
“Well, my birthday is July 20th, my favorite color is green, my mom left when I was 5 but other than that my childhood was pretty awesome. I have a whole collection of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” I tried to make her laugh, just to see her smile. And it worked.
“I’m sorry about your mom. I know what it’s like to live life without a parent.” She started to frown. I saw tears start to dwell in her eyes. I felt a pain in my chest. It was her pain. I was feeling it.
“Hey, look at me.” She lifted her head and her deep green eyes stared into mine. “It’s okay.” I pulled her into a hug that I never wanted to end. “What time did you say that firework show was?”
“It starts at 11:00. Why, what time is it?”
I looked at my watch. “Time to go.” I said taking her hand running toward the beach. We quickly laid out the blanket and jumped on it. While waiting for the show to start we asked each other questions and exchanged numbers.
“Do you play any instruments?” She asked raising one eyebrow, acting like a dork.
“Actually, I do. Guitar.” I said smiling. “Why were you at the river today?”
“Sometimes you need to get away you know? That’s where I go when I need to clear my head. Something about the sound of the water. I don’t know..” She made a half smile but I knew exactly what she was talking about.
“Yeah. I know, It’s the one thing that pulls you out of the world for a little while.” I smiled “That’s why I have this.” I said as took a picture of her. She jumped as the first firework shot up. It was a beautiful burst of yellow. I looked over and noticed she had goose bumps. I took off my hoodie and handed it to her.
“No..I can’t. You’ll be cold.” She shook her head but I insisted.
“But you won’t be. Just take it. I have a long sleeve. I’ll be fine.” I handed it to her again but this time she took it and threw it on.
Before I knew it she fell asleep on my chest. I didn’t wake her until the show was over. I didn’t even want to then. She looked like an angle sleeping. “Kassidy.” I softly shook her. She turned over and saw me, then shot up.
    “I’m so sorry. I didn’t me--“I couldn’t help but laugh.
“Hey, It’s fine. Hah. You can fall asleep on me anytime you want.” I saw her smile and I couldn’t help but smile too.
    “What time is it?”
“Uh, 12:14” I said in surprise. “I better get going.”
    “Yeah me too.”
We both walked out to the side walk where we would go our separate ways. “Thanks for showing me around.”
“No problem. I really enjoyed it.” She smiled and I couldn’t hold it in any longer. I moved forward, pushed back the hair out of her face and kissed her. But the best thing was,
    she didn’t pull away.
Hey guys:) I hoped you liked it! I try to make them as interesting as possible but you know..

    Chapter 2
I couldn’t believe it. I don’t even know who this girl is and im taking pictures of here. “That’s not creepy or anything.” I sarcastically said to myself. I started to make my way over too her and before I knew it. I fell in the water. She turned around quickly with a frightened look on her face to see a stupid boy with his camera sitting in the river.
“Uhm…are you okay?” She asked. I couldn’t even imagine her having a more beautiful voice. After catching my breath I got the words out.
“U-uhm..Yeah, I’m good.” I stood up dripping wet. She just laughed. Her laugh made me feel as if I was being lifted of the ground.
“I haven’t seen you around here before. Are you new to town?” Her eyes sparkled with curiosity.
“Yeah. I moved here with my dad just today. Work situation.” I shrugged. “Oh well welcome to town. I’m Kassidy.” She reached out her hand for me to shake it. And so I did. “Thanks, I’m Conner.” I said with a smile on my face. I was trying to make it not so obvious, but I couldn’t help it. She was so flawless. “Well, I should go change now…”
“Yeah. You look ridiculous. A soaking wet photographer. What a sight.” She gave me a crooked smile and laughed. “Hey, here’s an idea. What about sense you’re new to town and everything, I’ll show you around. What do you think?”
My stomach turned. I felt like such a girl feeling like this but I don’t care. “Yeah. That would be great.”
“Cool! How about tonight? 10:00? That’s the best time to walk around. The markets and stores are still open because it’s a Saturday and there are always entertainers on the street.”
“Yeah that sounds great. Do you want to meet at the beginning of this path at 9:45?”
“Yeah that’s perfect. See you then!” She said as she started to hop on the rocks through the river, making it look effortless. She spun around on a rock, “Oh and Conner!”
“Yeah?” I said a little confused. “I have a feeling you’ll need your camera.” She said with a smile, a wink, and took off again. He perfectly placed brown hair flowing in the breeze.
While I was walking home all I could feel is the water squishing in between my toes where, all I could think of was the was Kassidy said my name, “..Conner” It was perfect. By the time I reached my new house I was half was dry. I took off my shoes outside. I ran up the stairs to my room to throw on something dry. I heard my dad yell up the stairs.
“Conner. Why are you wet..?” I could tell he was confused and didn’t know if he wanted to know the answer. “I kind of fell in the river..” I laughed at the thought and came back down the stairs to find dinner on the table. Mac n’ cheese. My dad was never a big cooker, or good for that matter. But, hey, I love mac n’ cheese so it’s perfectly fine with me.
“I met someone and their meeting me later to show me around town. Is that alright?” I knew he was going to say yes, he was going to be excited I already met people. “Yeah. What’s his name?” Well this is awkward.
“Uh. It’s a she and her name is Kassidy. I met her down at the river.” He lifted his head and raised one eyebrow. “Oh. I girl ehe? Well, have fun. I’m just glad you already made a new friend.”
After dinner I spent an hour or so getting ready. Showering, finding the perfect clothes in the stacks of boxes, finding the right shoes and finding a new card for my camera. Finally it was 9:40. I grabbed my camera and yelled to my dad as I was walking out the door.
After trusting my instincts on making the right turns I saw her. Standing there, she turned and saw me. As she started walking towards me. I noticed that she had a blanket draped over her arm. “Hey! Uh. I hope you like fireworks. I just found out that there’s going to be a show tonight so I was thinking we could watch them on the beach.”
    “I love fireworks.”
Whats going to happen at the fireworks show? :o

    Chapter one
"Conner! Come get your boxes!" My dad yelled. Hes the best dad I could ask for. He took on two jobs when my mom left. I was at my grandparents a lot but when he had free time we would go do father son stuff.
"Coming!" I took on last glance at the amazing view outside my bedroom and ran down the stairs. "Have you looked in our what supposed to be a backyard?! It the ocean!"
"Well we are in florida." I didn't expect to like it this much. I came from New York and moving into a small town in florida didn't seem to excite me but, its really rubbing off on me. I carried my stuff up the stairs and set them down near my bed.
As soon as we got all the boxes in the house, I wanted to see what this small town was hiding. "Dad, I'm going out to see whats around here." I yelled as I grabbed my camera. "Okay. Be back before dinner!"
There are markets everywhere, selling fruit to surf boards. I took a few pictures of them and decided to move on. I saw a trail leading into the woods that seemed mysterious. I stopped a few times to take pictures of things that caught my eye. As I walked further down the trail I could hear the faint rush of water. I walked toward the sound and that's when I found the river. It wasn't big, it was more like a place to come and relax. It was perfect, there was a path of rocks that you would jump on to get to the other side, perfectly colored trees that branched over the river, and a few pools of fish. I just started taking pictures of every inch of the river. As a zoomed in down stream, I saw a figure. It looked almost like a person, as I looked closer I saw that it was. A girl, I'm not exactly sure what she is doing but, the light was hitting her just right. I couldn't help myself.
    I had to snap it.
