From a young age, girls are indirectly trained to search for forever - through fairytales, then later on love songs and romance books and movies. They try and try to find forever, thinking every time that they have found it. Beyond a certain point, however, when they haven't yet found it, girls may start to lose hope. They become apprehensive and afraid to fall. The belief that forever doesn't exist creeps in, tainting the youthful optimism. Then, when they actually find their forever, it's almost like they don't want to believe it. They think, "Why is this time different than any other?" and they continue to doubt. It takes just the right person, the perfect forever, to prove to them that it is possible, and here.

So he said I'm not allowed to tell anyone this. But I have to tell you guys, at least.
His sister was just a foster sister. His family fostered her for a couple years. She was 6 years old. Her biological mother decided that she could take care of her again. So she left. To California. That was in January.
In March he told me that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Since then, he hardly mentioned her. I guess the topic was too touchy, too emotional for him, which is understandable. I could see how much pain he was in, just when he told me. He always said he treated her like his daughter.
Today he told me that she passed away. I was speechless. He doesnt want me to tell anyone, maybe because he sees these emotions as a sign of weakness. But he loved her, and he always will. There's nothing weak about that.
