"Yea- Why? You...you don’t want it to be? That's alright! We can uh... go some other place....” He stuttered.
Oh god, Trevor!
“No, It's fine.” Alison sat down with a sigh, twiddling with a daisy stem.
“So...do you want some sandwich’s?” Trevor asked, eagerly pulling the wrapped sandwich’s from the basket.
“What the heck, why not? My diet is going down the drain anyway.”
I sensed Trevor's body tense.
He didn't know what to say.
This was where I came in.
Crawling closer to Trevor's back, who was leaning against the bush as much as possible, I began to whisper.
“Tell her she doesn't need to diet!” I told him, as much as I hated to.
“Y-you don't need to diet! You're perfect!”
No! She has you right on her fingertips, man! You're acting like a prissy! Don't tell her she's perfect.
I wanted to tell him just that, but I couldn't now.
“Mhm.. I guess I sort of am perfect,” She batted her eye lashes, her long blonde curls bouncing. “You're so nice Trevor.”
“Tha-thanks Allison...so here's your sandwich...turkey and cheese on white. Is that okay?”
I sighed; this date was a total bore...so far anyways.
“Yea.. that's fine.” She picked up the finger food with distaste and nibbled it.
“So, um...” Trevor started to say.
I groaned. “Ask her what she likes to do! You idiot!” I whispered from inside the bush. My breath seeping into his back.
“So, Alison, what do you like to do?”
Her eyes lit up. “Well, usually I go to the mall. Every two weeks to be exact... I also go dancing sometimes.” She smiled playfully. Her hands were pulling on the strings of her shorts, which exposed her sun kissed legs, tan and shiny. Her nails were polka-dotted, red and white- like...mine.
I just wanted them to kiss already- get it over with; that's what she really wanted.
