ok, here's the situation... i really like this guy and i know he likes me too, but he's a senior and i'm a sophomore, so he's 18 and i'm 16. on friday he asked me to hangout and go to a movie. my parents almost didnt let me go because they really don't like the age difference, but i don't see it as a big deal. so they said i could go, but only as friends, and they really don't want me to date him. but i had so much fun and i really like him and he's such a sweet guy. so how can i convince my parents that he's a great guy and there's nothing to worry about? or if that's not a good idea, how do i tell him that my parents don't want us to date? help please...

Thank you for not judging me, God knows too many people do these days... I'm sorry you feel bad, but there's really no need...
